Unobstructed Beautiful Sound Views

This home is a 3-bedroom house with 3.5 bathrooms. You'll find 4 kayaks that you are welcome to use to tour the sound. Enjoy fishing and crabbing right off the dock and plenty of room to dock your boat. (However, the boat ramp is inoperable. You will need to launch your boat at one of the nearby public accesses.)

Boat Ramp
There is a boat ramp on the property. Unfortunately, it is inoperable and the driveway is too narrow to accommodate a trailer. If you are bringing your boat, you will need to use the public boat access, which is approximately 2 miles away.

Convenient

Location was awesome. Back decks over back the water. Ocean side maybe 3 blocks across the way. Restaurants, ice cream, shops, seafood market, Surf City pier, etc all near by. 4 bikes, 5 kayaks for your use. Jetted tubs. Yes ,tubs with an s. All photos are accurate. Cleaning fees are a little excessive in my opinion but it is a large house. We ckean as we go so.......Other than fees being more than the rent, it was top notch! We loved it!

Sound side beauty

Beautiful clean property with ideal location on sound in quiet neighborhood. The kayaks were an amazing addition and we used them daily. We look forward to staying again!

Great location and property

This was our second stay at the property and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The view of the sun set was lovely and the short walk to the beach was relaxing. We are looking forward to return again.

Time away for healing from helene

The house was great had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We did some fishing off the dock caught several small fish. We were close to the beach to go shelling and watch the sunrise. We would definitely rent this house again. The bicycles and kayaks were a plus.

Excellent sound side house

I absolutely loved everything about this house. It was very clean, had everything could possibly want, and the location is perfect. Excellent views, especially from the top deck. I will definitely stay there again.

We have been to NC coast many times and this location is amazing! We barely even left the house because it was a fantastic place and had so much to do! Already on the to do list to book again for next year.

Family vacation

Wonderful time at this house. Close enough to spend the day at the beach. Beautiful quiet sunsets on the deck over looking the sound. The house had everything needed for our stay.

House was extremely nice and clean, we will probably stay again.

I was a little disappointed that the house was in North Topsail and not South, but the pier and house were great. Fishing was not the best, but the weather was extremely nice and house is convenient to restaurants and stores.

Beautiful home and safe location, very clean and it has everything you needed. Kayaks and bikes were a big bonus! The view of the canal is breath taking! We plan to return.

Sitting on the Dock of the Bay

I can't say enough about how relaxing this vacation was and how perfect the home was to relax in! We spent most of the time outside. Fishing off the dock, using the kayaks, and just sitting on the deck enjoying the view and the breeze. We brought a bike chain and used the bikes to go to the beach. It is walkable but much faster with the bikes. One has a rack and basket. If you bring a bungee cord you could probably use the rack for beach gear. Sallie responded to is quickly to all of the questions we had and gave us some great recommendations! (Thank you again, Sallie!) The area is quiet. The beach is the main attraction nearby. The main part of the island is Surf City. It's a small town and is a super quick car ride (bikeable too). The runners in my family ran to the coffee shop in town a couple mornings. Parking was free after 6 in the metered parking areas. We had great meals everywhere we went: Riverview in Sneads Ferry was a fave as was Shuckin Shack. And we enjoyed Sears Landing outdoor area for lunch on the water and drinks, tacos and music at Surf City Line Bar and Restaurant near the house.I would definitely book this home again. All the essentials were there plus the bonus of the kayaks and bikes, 2 beach chairs, a couple boogie boards, an outdoor shower, and the water, salt air, sunset view and night sky.

Awesome getaway

There was lots of amenities. We enjoyed crabbing and fishing! Beautiful views and beach not too far away. Owner is friendly and communicates very efficiently. Thank you for the hospitality!

Excellent location & beautiful house!

The house is in a perfect location & we loved fishing off the dock. Plenty of room in the house for our crew of 10 to spread out & not be on top of each other. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully supplied with dishes/pots/pans & silverware & the house is decorated so cute! We will definitely be back to stay next summer!

Wonderful visit!

We had a great visit to this beautiful home! Gorgeous sunsets, views of the sound, kayaking everyday and easy access to a beautiful beach! The home was clean, very comfortable beds, well stocked and the owners are so thoughtful and responsive. Also lots of decks and porches to enjoy being outside. Obviously we were not ready to leave this great place. Enjoy!

Lovely Stay at Fox and the Sound!

This is our second stay here in the past year and likely won't be out last! The unique home is perfect for both families and friends. The weather wasn't perfect during our most recent visit, but the home was the perfect place to relax and unwind. During our less-wndy days we enjoyed the kayaks, making it to Permuda nature reserve. Daily fishing off the dock/deck yielded a 24" red drum! The nearby beach access was pleasant with clean, stocked bathrooms. Overall a fantastic stay!

Beautiful Scenery, Excellent House

Gorgeous sunsets await you with a lot of wildlife to view on the sound. The perfect place of you want to enjoy outdoor adventures or simply to take in nature. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking as well as biking the nearby neighborhoods. Conveniently located to all nearby beaches and shops but also away from any busy traffic. The house is well laid out and appointed for our large family. Owner was communicative and available. Would highly recommend.

The most beautiful sunsets!!

This property is beautiful and close to beach, shops, etc. The layout of the house was perfect as our 4 kids stayed on the top floor and we stayed on the main floor. Very spacious, lots of tvs, fully equipped kitchen (but the garbage disposal was intermittent.) We loved the kayaks, being able to fish off our own dock, and the kids loved jumping off the dock into the water. We also loved the bicycles provided. The outside screened porch provided a peaceful respite for reading. The views of the sunsets every day were beautiful!!! Sallie was a responsive and communicative host. This was our second summer at the house and we plan to return next summer!

Perfectly spot for our family

The property was great. Amazing view of the sound (bring your binoculars for bird viewing), we loved using the Kayaks and Bicycles. Every morning enjoyed coffee on the third floor porch. The property was exactly as described in the listing. Zero complaints. Sallie was an outstanding host with prompt communication. She provided personalized touches for our visit and suggested for activities for us during our stay. We hope to return again.

Serene Spot, spacious home.

The location of this property is quiet and the view was beautiful! We enjoyed watching the sunset from the back deck and even saw a dolphin one evening. The location is close enough to the beach to walk if you don’t have much to haul. We also found various beach accesses with paid parking that were not far from the property. The bikes and kayaks were a nice bonus! We loved being right on the calm water and spent quite a bit of time kayaking and fishing right behind the rental. The property has been well maintained, was clean and the flooring on the main level is newly updated. We would highly recommend this property!
