## Emplacement
Located on the Île de Beauté, in the department of Corse-du-Sud, the commune of Grosseto-Prugna lies in the Taravo region, some 30 km south of Ajaccio. This seaside resort faces the island capital on the southern shore of its gulf. Populated since Gallo-Roman times, Grosseto-Prugna has a rich and fascinating history. Once populated by the Genoese and the victim of barbarian assaults between the 16th and 17th centuries, it has over time become a mecca for Corsican tourism. This seaside resort boasts many assets, starting with its dream beaches and water sports activities to be enjoyed between two breaks in the sun. Its proximity to Ajaccio also makes it a must-see location on the island.
