A lovely stay

The property is well-maintained and cheerful. Perfectly situated with easy access to downtown attractions, this apartment suited our purposes exactly. The hosts responded quickly to any questions we raised and were very helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Cincinnati.

What a cool apartment!

It was a little challenging to figure out getting in but the owner was amazing at helping me get that figured out. She is super sweet and the apartment is lovely! So cute and a very cool downtown location!!

Overall all great, the location was close to our destination and OTR. A little nervous as several cars had broken windows on the road in front of location.

Easy Access

The location of this property allowed for easy access to the interstate and various downtown attractions. It was helpful that the unit had a designated parking space as well. The owner was extremely helpful in addressing our questions and taking care of any concerns we had.

Perfect for a quick stop in Cincinnati!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The apartment has everything you need; nicely renovated and modern. Slight hiccup with getting check in instructions..the host was very responsive and helpful. We would stay here again if we come back to the area.

Best Host Ever!

Despite some issues getting access to the property, the host took care of me and the issue promptly and kept me apprised the entire time. The property is on the edge of the nicer area of OTR but didn't feel unsafe. Would definitely choose this host again!

Location Did Not Feel Safe

The apartment was clean and appeared very nice. However, when we arrived at the location my husband and I both felt very unsafe and there was a large group of what appeared to be homeless gathered around the front entrance. There were no outside pictures of the rental only inside. If there had been any indication through pictures or description of the neighborhood we would not have booked this accommodation. The property owner was extremely helpful and worked with us on refunding our money for the additional nights.

I’d love to give this place a 5 star, but there was no more communication with the owner once I checked in. No response about my concerns and questions, and didn’t even receive proper checking out instructions. I just received check in directions, stayed and then left. The place was clean, the surrounding area isn’t the greatest at all. Overall not bad, I was only there for about a day n half. But I better not get penalized for anything after check out since I documented all of the messages that were not responded to and the condition upon leaving.

Space was very small and dirty

When we arrived ,the parking was in the back vacant lot it was at night. And very dark Upon heading into apartment there was about 20 pizza boxes and trash cans When we entered in the back area the main entryways next to the smelly trash cans so ever time we would leave and come back and - the smell of trash and very dark The apartment was an efficiency- the bed was a day bed- very small and no closets The shower only had cold or hot water it didn’t work on warm- I guess the valve was messed up The place smelled of very strong bleach(eyes were burning) maybe they tried to hide they hadn’t cleaned The towels seemed old and one was torn. Host stated an issue with the washer and dryer so they left them loaded with sheets and towels, we were not going touch them This was unit two but first floor, you could hear all the movements upstairs all night and people coming and leaving outside, closing of doors and gates Fridge and sink were dirty Our back door was covered by a paper blind which was torn so we covered the whole with a shirt wife was scared they could see in Again wife scared because was very dark and dirty

Great location, responsive hosts, check-in after dark challenging

Pros: The space, which was very addressable, was spotlessly clean and comfy. The exposed brick studio was nicely decorated, and more spacious that the pictures made it appear. It was well-located in Over-the-Rhine area in walking distance of lots of restaurants, shops, parks. The friendly hosts were immediately communicative and helpful when we called and followed up by text. Cons: We had a hard time locating the lock boxes and seeing the numbers due to the lacking lighting at the lockboxes and then near the back gate’s door (we arrived near midnight). We had not received instructions about getting into the gated lot. When we called, the host answered right away and remotely opened the gate for us then walked us through the rest of the process of getting in. We’d recommend to future guests to arrive in daylight (and bring your readers for the small lockbox numbers). To the hosts, it looked like there was a motion detector or dusk to dawn light by the back gate - maybe lightbulbs just need replacing? Thank you for your hospitality.

Adorable Studio!

We came to Cinci for the International Jazz Fest and stayed two nights at this adorable studio. We had a couple of set backs with check-in. You have to get the keys for the unit from a lockbox on the gate where you park your car. However there were three lockboxes on the fence without any identification to which one is for the unit we were renting. We had to use the code on all three lock boxes until one opened up. Then there wasn't a remote for the parking gate. After contacting Ms. Dumbuya, we learned the previous renter must have took the remote to the gate with them. So we had no way of getting into the parking lot. We had to leave our SUV in the parking lot and get around the city by LYFT. (About the keys, an earlier review that explained how to use the 3 keys to the unit was extremely helpful! Thank you!) The unit was clean and very comfortable. It was well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, towels, robes and toiletries. You can control the climate with the thermostat. There is a close-screened back patio area with a lockable screen door that was nice to sit out there at night. The only downside was the upstairs occupant who had heavy feet when walking around above you. As for the host, Ms. Dumbuya was very responsive and patiently worked with us as we tried to figure out the missing remote situation. She was so pleasant to talk to and has such sweet soul. She offered a free night stay to compensate for our troubles. Despite the setbacks, we had a very pleasant stay. Please note that the rental is located in a neighborhood undergoing rejuvenation. There are still signs of homelessness and urban decay there. You MUST always be safe and aware of your surroundings no matter where you travel!

Logistics nightmare

The property was just as described. Clean and tidy. Thank god for the lady in the previous review who told you what all of the keys were used for because that information is nowhere else to be found. When we arrived there was no gate remote. Apparently the previous tenants took it home with them. While it wasn't the apartment owners fault we still spent a LOT of time trying to figure it out. We missed dinner reservations waiting around to figure out what to do. Finally had to just leave it so we wouldn't miss our show. We had to leave our car parked on the street overnight, which was definitely not ideal for the neighborhood. Especially since we specifically paid for a place with secure off street parking. Finally one of the neighbors let us in the gate. But we couldn't leave or we wouldn't be able to get back in. So, we ended up using Uber for the remainder of our trip. Walls are very thin if you are a light sleeper good luck because the upstairs neighbor is very loud. It didn't bother us much but for some people that will be an issue.
