50th birthday bliss

Perfect location to be near to town and adventure, but provides the solitude I crave. Hot Tub for relaxing and awesome views day and night. The 2 car garage is great. Had a woderful time where we could split up, and go skiing, site seeing, hor springing, and I even brought my telescope sor some star gazing!!! Excellent 3 day birthday!

Winter vacation

The property was cozy and modern. My family enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day of skiing and then resting on the couch warming up by the fireplace while watching a movie on the large t.v. There was plenty of room for my family of 5. The property manager communicated often and was very accommodating. The whole process from check in to check out was simple.

Very spacious with great view!

Sometimes it’s hard to get enough room for the five of us, but this house fit us all easily! It’s not too close to town, so you have a bit of seclusion, but you can still be where you need to be in Salida in 10 mins. The view is great too. And we saw a beautiful fox prowling around.

Thanksgiving with Adult Kids

Loved our stay in Salida - beautiful views, great house, hot tub, close to hiking trails and to town, cozy during a snow storm. We were 6 adults and a dog and cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing

We only stayed there for two nights, but we had the most amazing time! We cooked out, went for short walks on the property, just had an amazing time with family hanging out. The house was equipped with everything that we needed. I wanted a blender to make drinks and asked if I could have one brought to me. They told me they just go buy one and they would take it off my bill. Very accommodating. I will definitely be staying at this house again when I pass through

Stunning views

We loved our time in this beautiful house. The views of the surrounding landscape were stunning from both inside and outside the house. The kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation and was a nice space to work in. The three bedrooms were well decorated and had comfortable beds. The property exceeded our expectations and we spent more time on site than we anticipated. The house and property became an attraction. There was wildlife, migrating birds and beautiful sunrises and sunsets to observe. The proximity to public open space for hiking and dog walking was a huge plus.

Family trip

We had a great time staying in this home overlooking Salida. We cooked, hiked, explored town, rafted, and enjoyed one another with this as our home base. The home game us plenty of space to hang out together while having room to spread out.

Great stay, great views

Property was clean, organized, and had great views. Beds were super comfortable (great linens). Well stocked kitchen for meal prep/serving. Communication was exceptional from hosts. Greeted by deer upon arrival. Close to town for shopping needs/wants. Close to trails for outdoor needs/wants. Great stay!

Close to Monarch

This house was perfect for us and just a short drive to the ski area. Loved the hot tub and the daily visits from the deer. Management was fast to respond with any questions! Only thing that was a bit lacking was the kitchen basics- not as many pots and pans as some of the places we have stayed. We usually cook all meals in our rentals so we just had to run Walmart for disposable pans.

This really is a fabulous scenic getaway spot!

The property was beautiful, clean and cozy. The place is decorated beautifully and is very spacious. The hosts very accommodating when we asked for early check-in. We were sorry not to be able to use the fireplace. It would be nice to have a few more supplies available like oil, vinegar, shampoo, especially for short-term guests. Thank you for providing our family a much-needed getaway!

Beautiful home above Salida

Beautiful, high-desert home directly above Salida with commanding views of the town below and 14ers in the not-so-distant background. We loved hiking around the pinyon and juniper forested trails directly next to the home and exploring the property, which abuts BLM land. The hot tub was a great experience and allowed us to really soak in the stars each evening. We also enjoyed the quiet of being up a dirt road (beware Karen’s—dirt!). The property management company has stocked the home well and had it perfectly clean. We’ll be back!

Scenic Salida Getaway

What a great place! A quiet and secluded property with expansive views all around. It felt like our own special retreat, and yet was only a few minutes to town, restaurants and the local dog park. Highly recommend!

Private oasis close to town

We had 4 adults, 3 teens/pre-teens, and 2 dogs. The home was lovely. We felt far away and isolated, but were only 9 minutes away from downtown/the grocery store.

Just As Advertised!

This house is in a great location with fantastic views all the way around! The house was very accommodating for our family of four, plus our dog. The pictures in the listing didn't lie. I would definitely recommend this place and consider staying here again in the future. Just a heads up that the dryer barely worked when we were there, so don't plan on washing your gear and having it be ready for the next day. But that wasn't a big deal for us, so other than that, two thumbs up!

Beautiful House with Incredible Location

This house is situated with 360 degree views. It has easy access to hiking trails, the main town of Salida, and Monarch Mountain. It was clean and fully stocked. We're planning a return trip this summer.

Loved the property, it had everthing we needed. Our feet were cold due to the no shoes rule. In the winter, it should recommend slippers for inside. Followed the checkout process, but there was no laundy soap to do so.

Beautiful Home with Fantastic Views, Attentive Management. 5 Stars!

Weekend celebration getaway for our family with a youngster and pup. The house sits up high with panoramic views of Salida and surrounding areas, could not help but keep looking outside! We cooked some celebration meals in the kitchen stocked with the basics to get started. Downtown Salida grocery, restaurants, and coffee only 10 minutes away (you can see it from several windows!). Relaxed in front of fire in living room, the TV was there but the window views were better! Brought hiking shoes and a mountain bike to take advantage of the trails that are just 1000 feet from the driveway. The trails are well marked with even more great views. Felt very relaxed and rejuvenated after this trip. One of our most favorite properties on VRBO, would love to visit again in the future!

Fun Salida stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was even nicer than expected and spacious enough for several couples to relax and spread out. It was nice to be just outside of town and enjoy the hot tub under the stars, but still just a quick drive in to town for food etc. Will definitely stay here again.
