Beautifully Furnished Waterfront 3 bed/2 bath Condo in Bermuda Bay Community. A former model, Terrapin Cay has numerous upgrades. Accessible by elevator third floor single level unit has beautiful unobstructed water views from every room.

Comfortable and stylish furnishings. LVP in common areas and carpet in the bedrooms. Gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, designer tile floor and raised breakfast bar for extra seating. Sound facing large deck that is accessible from great room and primary bedroom.

Located in Hamilton Cay which is part of the Bermuda Bay Community in the heart of Kill Devil Hills. Offers a community club house with fitness center and pool (mini water park complete with lazy river and slide) from Memorial Day to Labor Day. May be open some weekends during May and September. Check pool for exact days and hours of operation.

It's a very convenient one-mile drive to the beautiful Kill Devil Hills beaches. At Mile Post 8.25, the community is convenient to all the local shops, restaurants, activities and attractions that make the Outer Banks the ever-popular vacation destination. The community is just across the street from the Wright Brothers National Memorial Park. Great area for launching kayaks or Canoes. Wetlands nearby.

What makes this condo unique? Incredible views, stylish beachy furnishings, elevator, close to ocean access with two public parking lots, bath house with restrooms, outdoor showers, lifeguards, and handicap accessible beach ramps. Spacious open concept condo. Great for families or couples. No small children please. Quiet neighborhood great for walking. Available for short stays in the off season or weekly in season (Memorial Day to Labor Day). Saturday to Saturday. No additional cleaning fees.

Winter Getaway

My parents and I had a delightful stay. Cannot recommend enough! Everything was very clean and the unit is both out of the way and very quiet. Beautiful evening views of the sound from the back porch, and very close to many attractions in the Outer Banks as well as Roanoke Island.

Great family getaway

I echo another reviewer: This was the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in. It was beautifully decorated, clean, plenty of space and amenities, and in a great location. The owner even had a basket of nightlights to use - small details. Mattreses were comfortable and washer/dryer like new. The unit is set back in the property so there is lots of privacy and quiet, especially from the 3rd floor. Very safe location. Wagon in garage to lug all our stuff from the car was a lifesaver. We loved watching the huge Osprey nest filled with both parents and two babies from the deck and dining room/kitchen windows. We also saw deer. The sunset colors in the sky were so pretty. The owner had excellent proactive communication and helpful recommendations. All around fantastic experience.

Great Spot!

What a great place to stay! Lots of space for our family of four to spread out in the condo. A super short drive to beach parking, restaurants, etc. The view from the balcony was outstanding! The lazy river/pool area was a huge plus as well. Highly recommend!

The condo is lovely, spacious, very quiet, and clean. There is an elevator for folks who don’t do stairs - we brought my 85 year old mother and this made it very convenient for her. The property has a private pier/kayak launch and the view from there is gorgeous. Excellent location, close to everything.

Family beach vacation

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful condo. We are a family of 4, with two children ages 8 and 6. It is a short drive to the beach access and has a great pool for families we enjoyed everyday. The location is great with lots of shopping and nice restaurants close by. The condo was clean with up to date appliances, great amenities, and was beautifully decorated. The view from the back porch was lovely and perfect to enjoy your morning coffee on or your nightly glass of wine. We will be back!!

Best Family Vacation

This place was perfect for my family. We had beautiful weather and an absolutely enjoyed every minute of time we had with the family. My parents enjoyed themselves which I was happy to experience this time with them. The only sad part of the trip was leaving. We will definitely be back again next year. A breath of fresh air

Everything about our stay here was incredible. The condo is GORGEOUS and borderline luxurious with its amazing shower and breathtaking water views from every room. Staying here felt like staying in a fancy resort with the comfort of welcoming furnishings and a kitchen stocked to cook to your heart’s delight. Everything about our stay was so amazing and the owner was extremely communicative and accommodating. We can’t wait to come back again!

Mother/Daughter birthday weekend

Celebrated my moms 73rd birthday with her and my daughter for the weekend. The views were beautiful, the decor was wonderful, the check in and check out was easy and we had a great stay!! Beds are comfy, trash chute on the third floor is great so you don’t have to take it down with you and the wagon available for use in the garage to bring stuff up and down in the elevator made life easy. We had plenty of room and the back deck is huge. Will definitely be back!

A secret gem.

This property is adorable! Well appointed and very clean. Even the covered porch is decorated and inviting. Elevator makes the third floor so easy and the owner has provided a wagon in the garage to help with luggage as well. High ceilings create an open feeling, like you are not in a condo. Plenty of beach gear provided. We were here in January for activities in Manteo and further west. The location of the condo worked well for our needs. Looks like a fun community to enjoy in the summer with pier access to the Sound, bikes, and a community pool. A great value.

Amazing Property with Amazing Views

This place was by far the best rental we have stayed in. All you need to bring is yourselves. Everything you would need is there including beach chairs and other beach items. Condo is stocked nicely and all they ask is you replace what you finish using. And can we talk about the views! You can see the sound from every window and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony just to enjoy the view. The unit is partially handicap accessible which made it perfect for my disabled father in law. We were able to get a free beach wheelchair from the ocean resuce on the first day of our stay and they let us keep it all week long. The beach access was not very far away and with it being handicap accessible we had no issues bringing the wheelchair down the ramp. It was also nice that you can use the garage to store the stuff you do not need or want to bring upstairs. Owners were very responsive to our messgaes as well. We will definitely be booking here again!

Wonderful stay

We had a bit of trouble finding the place but that's not the host's fault, moreso a navigation issue which we fixed on Google maps so hopefully? It won't be an issue of future guests. The condo is lovely, the elevator was a bit slow but not a fault of host. The kitchen had everything youd need unless youre picky like wire whisks over plastic. There were handicap accesible items in the master bath (grab bars), i ordered a shower chair while there and did instacart so options available. Beds were insanely comfortable. Note they are soft beds so if you prefer a more firm mattress you may not love them as much, my only real bedroom complaint is there are small windows up top & if you aren't a morning person and light sensitive you will wake with the sun, also be careful on the carpet, even though the condo was incredibly clean, i found a few stickers in the carpet which i had to remove by hand because of the briars, so be mindful walking barefoot, extra parking is very convenient we didn't even enter the garage. Decor was lovely, many pieces i wanted for my own home, comfortable furniture minus the chairs in the dining area, i wish had a bit of cushion but not a deal breaker. Definitely felt like coming home vs a rental as many places do. Would definitely stay again in the future. We also struggled a bit with locking the door when leaving, it would take multiple tries each time, could be a user error, so make sure to check its locked.

We live in Winchester Virginia. We are both retired and we have enjoyed coming to the Outer Banks since 1989 when we fell in love with the area. We love hosting others in this beautiful area and providing a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Originally we wanted a condo on the beach but all the condos we looked at were very small and very dated. When we found “Terrapin Cay” it was love at first sight. It’s a quiet neighborhood away from the beach traffic but still within minutes of everything and the views are amazing!

Our property is in the quiet residential neighborhood of Bermuda Bay. A colorful community of single family homes, townhomes and condos. Each one painted a beautiful bright color near the water with beautiful sound side views of the waterfront.
