Family weekend getaway

What a charming cute home… it was a perfect house tucked away in a quiet neighborhood… loved how clean the home was and so cool how it is tucked away in the woods… we saw deer which was an awesome bonus… the home has everything that you need and what a cool bonus for my kids for they absolutely loved the game room.. when visiting my son away at college we will definitely be back… thank you so much for sharing your charming home with us… we absolutely loved it

Ledgestone 2024

We were in town for the 2024 Ledgestone Open. The house was perfect for us. Plenty of room and parking. Video games were a hit with my 9 year old grandson. Kept him entertained while we had a chance to relax. Excellent place to stay!!

"Pet friendly listing" with rat poison under bed

This listing was advertised as pet- and child-friendly, and I had messaged informing them that we would bring dogs, and even had to pay an additional pet fee. Despite all of those indications, there was unsecured rat poison in a trap under one of the beds, which one of our dogs ate. The poison was easily accessible to any dog or child who looked under the bed.We had to make him throw up, drive home in the middle of the night and take him to an emergency vet, and the host picked up the phone after multiple attempts to contact about the type of rat poison (which was critical and time-sensitive to care of the pet), and said he would help pay for veterinary bills. However, then he stopped responding and pretended like nothing happened. We had to go through VRBO and eventually got refunded for the cost of the vet bills. It is negligent to have rat poison on the floor and advertise it as a pet- and child-friendly listing, and not disclose that to the guests. Further it is disingenuous to acknowledge that negligence and offer to help with vet bills, only to ghost entirely once the bills actually arrive. The place itself is quite nice if you don't have pets or children. I even had a good time until our dog almost died. I held off on writing a negative review, but the host's ghosting after the bills arrived was the final straw.

Cozy Home tucked into the city

The manager of the property was great. We had a rough property sale/purchase and found ourselves out of a house before we could buy. This cozy house tucked into a neighborhood was exactly what we needed to help us through the week. You have all the amenities of home and town. The property is quiet and beautiful. It was too hot to enjoy the balcony porch but it offered a scenic view. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

Wonderful Home

My whole family enjoyed this home so much. We had grandma and grandpa with us and they were very comfortable. The beds are comfortable. Like other reviewers said, its not as secluded as it looks in the pictures. But the neighborhood is nice and its tucked at the back so you have plenty of space the the view from the deck and back windows makes you feel very secluded. Its a beautiful atmosphere. The home is clean and stocked. Communication with the owner was wonderful. We'll definitely be back.

Quick Visit

We rented the cabin for two nights to be close to family friends who live in Pekin. It was the perfect location, very quiet and we really appreciated the outdoor space and grill. This will be our preferred place to stay in the area from now on! Please add a step stool for the vertically challenged so we can reach the top shelf. :)

Cozy, quiet and private

A unique house in a quiet natural setting. Clean and comfortable. I did hear the namesake owl and saw three deer 50 yards from the house while walking the dog.

New Years in Pekin

It was clean. The beds and comforters were very comfortable. They had towels and soaps stocked. It was cozy yet had plenty of space. The couches were super comfortable. Great to relax in nice neighborhood. Too cold to sit outside. Has a great deck though. Listing was accurate with pictures. Easy to find and close to all the amenities in town. It was central to every where we were visiting in Illinois. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the unique A frame cabin. Thank you.

Very nice!!

Owners are nice to deal with. Property is in a nice quiet neighborhood. House was very clean and equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

5 Star home, 3 Star location

So the pictures definitely make it look more remote than it is, which is situated at the far back of a neighborhood. I think this is more like something that you would see on other sites as opposed to vrbo. That being said the rest of the elements were great. The beds were WAY comfortable, like far better than expected and the kitchen and living area were perfect. Had I gone into it with a different mindset this would have been a 5 star place, but I wanted something remote, which this was not.
