Relax in our rustic lake-front cottage for your next getaway in the Berkshires! Our small lake is perfect for kayaking, fishing, or just enjoying in any season. Come by in the Fall to soak in the stunning color reflecting off the lake. In the Winter, light up the fireplace after skiing the nearby hills or sledding the Knox Trail. Whether you want cook s'mores by the water, hike the Appalachian Trail, visit Berkshire towns, or just get away, we welcome you.

Perfect quiet getaway

This little cottage was just right for us.VRBO was way off on the location which was very disappointing, but the place itself made up for that. Owner was very responsive. Would now love to visit and stay in the summer to take advantage of the lake!

Beautiful cozy cabin!

I so enjoyed my stay in this lovely cabin. It was nicely decorated and had everything needed for my stay. The owner was also very responsive. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely little place, pretty view, quiet

Cozy cottage is charming and restful, with a gorgeous view of the lake from a big room in front. Has everything you could need, and the host is friendly and responsive. My wife and I have stayed there twice, both times in winter, and loved it both times. Completely quiet, peaceful and restful. As with all VRBOs, when booking, keep an eye on the fees — you may find the actual bill far higher than you’d expect based on the “per night” rate. But like I said, that’s an issue with most properties, and despite that, we’ve stayed twice and will likely stay again.

Cozy comfortable cottage

Great cozy cottage with lots of beds and games. The kitchen is comfortable and well equipped. Right on the lake with provided kayaks. Host was very responsive.

Perfect peaceful getaway

Wonderful and charming lakeside home. Everything you would want to have a great visit, both in the house and on the lake. The owners respond immediately to any questions that arise. We had another wonderful time!

Wonderful getaway in a beautiful setting

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin is picturesque and has all the items anyone could need for a relaxing stay. We loved sitting on the deck for morning coffee and nighttime star gazing. We took days trips to the surrounding towns, all of which we found charming and never more than an hours drive away.

Stay at Lake cottage in Otis

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage right on the lake. The house is small but very well equipped and it was great having the kayaks right there to use! The host was very helpful with getting to know the cottage and area. Only caution is the stairs coming down to the cottage. there are a lot of stairs and last step can be hard to see.

Adorable lake house!

Had a wonderful stay. Home has everything you could want to enjoy the peaceful lake. Lots of great games, books and interesting decor to enjoy. We mostly loved spending time in the kayaks and canoes on the water.

Great Getaway

We had a great time! Everything was as described. Kids and adults had fun fishing, swimming, and kayaking. We enjoyed sitting by the lake around a fire and eating in the screened in porch. We hope to be back.

Lake Time

We were looking for a lake view and this property captured what we wanted. The fishing was better than expected and the fishermen were joyful. One downfall was the construction next door that was not the owner's fault.

Lovely house on a serene lake

We had a wonderful week. The home is beautifully appointed and no need to worry about not having decent supplies- kitchen appliances, silverware, linens, etc are all there, even washer&dryer. Plenty of comfortable seating and lounging, which is essential to a relaxing vacation. I read my books in at least 5 different spots, including lounge chair on the dock! The neighborhood is quiet. The swimming is lovely. Kayaks and canoes gave us the incredible experience of our first in -the-wild sighting of a beaver!! This house was cozy and charming, the outdoor areas are super (even when it rained we could hang out in the screened in room under the house) and it all made for a wonderful vacation!! Thank you, Ann-Marie!

Not the best communication

Property was great and would have been just what we were looking for if not for the major construction right next door which was loud and disturbing all week. We tried to negotiate a partial refund with the host but they were having none of it and basically said it was out of their control We would have been happy with even a minor refund - just to show that they had some consideration for what we experienced Won’t be returning

If you like rules, regulations, and a laundry list of crimes, fines and punishments look no further.

This is the place for you if: You like finding out the night before your stay that there will be "security" cameras surveilling you at the fire pit, dock and back yard... then later finding a camera also pointing at the outdoor shower. You like loading up your car with $75 worth of firewood before your journey (because listing says they don't supply wood) and finding out the night before your stay that you may purchase firewood ONLY at their local stores (and no newspaper or kindling will be found at cottage). You like being told that the peace of their neighbors is paramount and then the neighbors' TV blares out their window and their dog barks at you for sitting quietly and reading your book. Then said dog is rewarded with a "squeaky" toy. You like being told that moving around any furnishings or decor is forbidden then upon arrival find enough tchotchkies, curios and awkwardly arranged furnishings to fill 3 homes (including the enormous dresser in your bedroom which prevents you from shutting the door). You like being repeatedly told - after forking over a pile of cash to make it your home for the weekend - that the cottage is THEIR home and their's alone. You like a 10 story electrical tower looming over the lake. To be fair, the cottage itself is reasonably cute, it is indeed on a lake and the wifi is great. Just be sure to mind the many do's and don't signs peppered about and whatever you do, Don't hang your beach towel on the porch railing!!

Cute Cottage on Pond

We enjoyed our stay on this peaceful pond, great for kayaking and canoeing when the ski-doos weren’t out. The cottage was nicely appointed, the bed in the main bedroom very comfortable and the deck was lovely to relax on.

Clean, cozy and quiet

My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is very clean and has everything you need. Because the lake has no motorized boats it adds to the peace and quiet. It is very quiet. Just what we were looking for. Communication was great with Ann-Marie and Carl. They are helpful and a pleasure to book with. No complaints here.
