As advertised and COMMUNICATION+

The floor mat at the entrance of the residence says something like "enter as guests, leave as friends". I'll admit that I've had friends that didn't communicate as well as the owner of this property. When weather and other factors delayed our arrival, the owner called to check on us and to guide us in-verbally to the property. The property was exactly as pictured and described. Located almost directly on Canton Trade days grounds, the residence was rustic, but clean and pretty quiet too. For the price of the visit, and the location, it was just what we needed. Look at the pics, check the location. We had zero problems.

We are Tim and Beverly Miller, originally from Fairbanks AK for 30 years, then another 30 years in the Seattle area. Currently, we are retired and starting a new adventure in Texas! Our love of Flea Markets, yard sales, and treasure-seeking brought us to Canton, TX. The goal is to establish 12 Bed & Breakfast Suites in the Frontier Old West Theme along with a group meeting hall. The enjoyment we feel when the guests come around the corner and express delight as they approach our Acorn Hideaways is heart-warming to us.
As a couple we have been on many adventures, even lived in the Middle East for 3 years. In every adventure, we love meeting new people and hearing about their journeys. Life is full of FUN and we never want to forget that!

If you love outdoor flea markets, then Canton, Texas is definitely the place you have to explore. This city is popular for First Monday Trade Days, the largest and longest-running outdoor flea market in the US. Situated in Van Zandt County, over 170 years straight in operation.
During the Trade Days, The Old Mill Marketplace property, where you will be staying, has shopping, entertainment, and light dining until 10 pm. We even have a winery on site.

However, if you want to come to stay with us on non-trade days throughout the month, you will find a quiet peaceful getaway that will truly be relaxing from the busy life of the city. Hiking paths are found around the property.
There are over 24 birds that you can identify just from sitting on the porch of your suite. We have a list of them for you to check off.

After a day of shopping and exploring at the Main Trade Days, you can rest up in your suite and then go browse the shops within steps from your cottage.
