Private spot on the bay side but also steps to the beach - Amazing views of the Bay and Ocean. Go kayaking right outside your front door off of the public fishing dock to your right. The Bay water is perfecting for that, with a sandy bottom and easy access. enjoy Bay side and ocean fun!

People also do a lot crab fishing off the public dock.

Bon Scour Refuge to the right, Take a nature walk going back in time to secluded sandy beaches.
A wheelchair is here if you need it, in main bedroom closet 2nd floor.

Dogs are allowed, a pet fee of 150.00 is required, pets must always be on lease in Laguna key. 150 pet fee for 2 pets limit call me if you are bringing more two pets

PLEASE NOTE: The best thing about this home is that it's immersed in nature, beach in the back, bay water in the front, trees surrounding the property. This means you may encounter wildlife while in our home or neighborhood. This includes squirrels, deer, raccoons, mice, spiders, mosquitos, sand fleas, spotted lanternflies, flies, plant mites, skunks, ticks, bees, wasps, crickets, ants, tree roaches, frogs, various bugs, and other creatures. They reside in nature and we have no control over them. We do have professional pest control company that comes out once a month and sprays for Mosquitos and No-see-ums and puts out bug traps, but we do not have any control over their adventures. Sometimes they end up in the house. We clean and inspect everything before you arrive. There will be no refunds for Mother Nature getting in the house. If you are sensitive to mosquitoes, bring bug spray. We have found certain things work well at the beach, Insect spray with Deet in it, and Amber Romance body lotion. In the event you are alarmed over one of these critters, please alert me, and we will have pest control, or HOA take care of it.

Family Christmas Getaway

We had a group of 12 adults so the 6 bedrooms were perfect. The living room was spacious enough to seat all 12 of us to enjoy watching football games or just enjoying the gas fire place while catching up . The kitchen was plenty stocked for our daily family breakfasts as well as baking Christmas cookies for all to enjoy. We had fun playing pool and ping pong in the game room. The beautiful Christmas tree and decorations throughout the house were a lovely touch and made a pretty backdrop for family photos. We had a great time and would love to stay when the weather is warmer as the location is great for going to the beach or pool.

Perfect for large families

Very large, spacious house with ample room for everyone to have space. Golf cart and elevator made the stay perfect. Would love to revisit.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time at Calvert Castle with our family of 18 people. Although we didn’t get to use all the amenities in the neighborhood due to the weather, the home had ample to do to keep our 10 grandchildren (ages 1-14) busy. The home was spacious and clean with everything we needed. Rocky was very kind and checked in on us. We would stay there again!

Family vacation

Absolutely beautiful place and plenty of room for our family of 14! We loved having the golf cart, beach wagon and all the beach chairs/toys. Fun times playing pool and other games at night! Definitely will go in the books as one of our best vacations!

Calvert Castle

My family and I had an amazing stay at Calvert Castle. It was gorgeous, clean, extremely well stocked, plenty of space. So close to the beach-2minute walk. The elevator was a must for my disabled father. He was able to go to all the floors with ease, to join us. There were 16 of us and we had plenty of room! Lots of privacy. The balconies were a bonus when it came to watch the stunning sunset! The lake is directly behind the driveway. Perfect for fishing! The location of the property is amazing. It’s in between Ft Morgan, and Orange beach. 10-20 minute drive to stores and restaurants. The game room, canoes, bikes, and golf cart were such a treat to have! Rocky was an amazing and friendly host and was there for us when we had any questions, and he Che led on us to see if everything was to our liking. We’ve stayed at many of the other properties in Gulf Shores, but this was at the top of our list. It’s a Top Notch property!! We would definitely book again!! Thank you Rocky!!

Extended Family Vacation

Wonderful stay! We were age 2 to 76. Enjoyed all the amenities - pool, ping pong, gaming table, golf cart, beach toys, tennis, pickle ball, pool (best for younger kids, shallow), beach, etc. Beautiful view of lagoon. Large, comfortable gathering space on main floor. 3 beautiful large rooms/suites. 3 adequate bedrooms. Plenty of kitchen counter space. Glad to have second frig in laundry room. Would not bring kayaks again. A little shallow in lagoon but there are other places we enjoyed kayaking. Had a good 1/2 day fishing charter and yummy fish fish one night for dinner.

Calvert Castle

This property was very nice. There were no surprises. We were very happy that there were ample pots and pans, dishes, and tableware. The community pool was very nice as was the beach. Sorry to say that Tropical Storm Alberto kept up out of the surf as 2X red flags flew every day except when one red flag was hoisted above a purple flag due to a high concentration of jellyfish in the water. Rocky, the owner, was in communication with me almost every day, and immediately attended to the only concern I told him about. All in all, this was a very fine property.

Amazing House for our Large Group

This was an amazing property with plenty of room for our group of 17 ladies. There was plenty of room to spread out and the amenities were unlike any other property we have stayed at. The owners have truly thought of everything you could need. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for multiple meals. There were lots of extra beach chairs and towels in the garage to use. The golf cart was an added bonus and made getting to the beach a breeze. Rocky checked in on us the day after we checked in to make sure we were settled in ok and he was fast to respond when we had an issue with the main fridge the day before check out. The location is great and the views cannot be beat. We can not wait to stay at this property again next fall!

Perfect Location

The house was nicely maintained. The house was very comfortable , as were all the beds. I really liked the location. It was a pretty little comunity, close enough ro all the Gulf Shores shops, but still felt very private and friendly. The beach was really close - safe and easy for the kids to get to.

Wonderful Stay - Highly Recommend

The house was great and was exactly as advertised. The beach was a super short walk and the golf cart made it convenient to bring chairs and umbrellas as needed. Beach area felt private, it was great. Would stay again

Fantastic vacation home

Home is so beautiful. We had plenty of room for 7 adults and a toddler. Kitchen was completely stocked, even a slow cooker was available. Many beach toys, rafts and coolers. This home had it all. We thoroughly enjoyed. Used the golf cart to take everything to the beach. The beach walk could use another step or two since it drops at the end but we had a fabulous vacation. Great family getaway

We enjoyed the property very much. The amenities at the Castle were way above anything I've ever experienced. All the beach toys and supplies were great. The kitchen was outfitted with all we needed. And the counter top ice maker was a real plus. You really dont need to bring a thing. Thanks for a great week.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time at Calvert Castle with all our kids and grandkids. There is plenty of space to spread out. We cooked & grilled. Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of table space to eat. Beach is a very short walk but we also used the golf cart to carry umbrellas and chairs. The kids loved the well maintained pool too. Tennis & pickleball available but we have that at home. We all enjoyed the game room at Calvert Castle, especially when we were finished with beach & swimming. TVs in every room but we hardly watched except to put on “Bluey” for the kids. It’s a short drive for groceries and errands, but we appreciated that the beach was not overly crowded. We loved the neighborhood too. We found a photographer who came to the house and she took family pictures on the beach. Wonderful memories!!! We will definitely come back for the next beach vacation with the whole family.

Best trip ever!!!

Our family of 12 had the best time staying in this beautiful house. Rocky is the best host I have ever worked with. He out did himself with all the amenities he provided. The bicycles, golf cart and the game room were a huge hit. This house is in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. We had plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. Rocky was very easy to reach with anything we needed. He even bought new beach chairs and beach towels. I have never stayed in a nicer place, where nothing was lacking. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. And the views from all the balconies were outstanding. Our 3-year-old told him mother the morning we were leaving he wanted to stay another week then go home. Anyone looking for a GREAT place to stay while at Gulf Shores, Rocky's house is the place to stay.

Awesome Property

Wonderful vacation. Beautiful property with so much to do you can’t do it all in a week!! From the pool table, table tennis, game arcade with so many games, kayaks, tennis and more!! Just a few steps to pool and beach. Golf cart….property had everything you could want or need. Even an automatic countertop ice maker. The back view was the lagoon and front view was the beach. Everything you needed was there down to beach toys and towels. And the house itself was amazing!! Fully stocked with nothing else needed!

Excellent owner and property

A beautiful “castle” well stocked, wonderful location and excellent owner for communication . The entire family loved our time there, especially our times in the game room with pool and ping pong. The weather was brutally cold but we found lots to do. Thank you to Rocky and his wife to give us a beautiful Christmas tree and holiday spirit. This was a great choice and we are extremely happy with our time to enjoy this property.
