Welcome to your home away from home at our Mermaid Cottage by the Sea. This San Clemente gem is located within walking distance to all the area’s best beaches and is sure to make a splash with lasting memories created with your closest family and friends.

Recently updated, the Mermaid Cottage is designed for ultimate comfort and relaxation. The second-floor great room is the center of it all – a 75” television with soundbar is the perfect spot for a movie night in with enough seating to gather the entire family around and soaring vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams. Just off the great room is a patio overlooking the back yard, with bistro seating for two – and a quiet place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail.

The great room opens directly to the kitchen and dining area and is the perfect open-concept space for entertaining guests. The gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, Viking gas cooktop, double ovens, French door refrigerator, and dishwasher is nicely appointed to meet all your culinary needs. Planning on having a few friends over for dinner? Be sure to chill that bottle of Rosé in the wine fridge for the perfect temp.

The large dining table has seating for nine, with three additional seats at the kitchen bar for a total seating capacity of 12. The sitting area adjacent to the dining room is the perfect place to relax next to the fire on chilly nights and mornings.

The light and bright primary suite is the perfect respite from a busy day by the sea. The king-sized bed with crisp white linens and down comforter will ensure you drift off into a quiet slumber each night. The charming bay window lets in ample sunlight during the day, with window shades for calm when desired. The en-suite bathroom with double vanity, shower, and fresh spa towels offers additional privacy.

There are three additional bedrooms in the home to keep guests comfortable and relaxed. The first bedroom features a queen bed with access to the hallway bathroom, single vanity and shower, and has sliding door access to the backyard. The second guest bedroom includes a queen-sized bed, and access to an attached bathroom with a single vanity, and a tub with shower combo. The third guest bedroom is a perfect place for the youngest guests of the group and consists of a twin-over-full bunkbed with an additional twin trundle to sleep up to four. The bunk suite also features access to a shared bathroom.

The beautiful backyard is sure to be a hit with guests of all ages. Fire up the grill and enjoy the cool ocean breeze while dining al fresco year-round, with dining seating for eight. Enjoy your evening sitting around the outdoor firepit with seating for all as you soak in the salty air in the private backyard. For the youngest guests, the tree house, swing, and outdoor games are sure to be the star of this home.

Just a short walk from the cottage is access to several area beaches. Don’t be a fish out of water! Take advantage of the beautiful coastline of the California Riviera during your stay. If you aren’t in the mood to walk to the beach, no problem. All area beaches provide public parking.

The cottage also comes with additional entertainment amenities, including outdoor games (cornhole, croquette, bocce ball, and football), a full-size ping pong table located in the garage, two bikes, chairs, umbrellas, towels, and an assortment of beach items and toys to make the most of your vacation.

There is also plenty to explore in the immediate area. Downtown San Clemente and the San Clemente Pier are a 5-minute drive from the home, with endless options for fun, relaxation and gourmet dining. The Orange County area is home to art and historical sites that are worth exploring. For some family fun, Disneyland, Legoland, Seaworld, the San Diego Zoo, and more are all within a 1-hour drive from the house.
