Lockes Mountain Lodge is a true mountain vacation rental nestled in the stunning San Juan Mountains, overlooking the gorgeous pastures of the James Ranch and Animas River Valley. The lodge sits at an Altitude of 6,800ft Making this the perfect place for those that are not use to higher altitudes. Enjoy the magnificent mountain views in our 6 Person Hot Tub.

The kitchen is fully equipped and linens and towels provided.
Home Consists of 4 Bedrooms 4 Baths.
Bedroom 1- King + Private Full Bath Upstairs
Bedroom 2- King + Private Half Bath Upstairs
Bedroom 3- King + Semi Private Bath with only access to Laundry, Also leads out to Patio.
Bedroom 4- Four Single Beds

• Just Moments to the James Ranch Market and Grill where you can get the freshest, local, organic food produced right on the James Ranch and other local farmers. (Our Personal Favorite).
• Moments away from Honeyville, the world famous honey store, where you can find locally sourced honey, jams, jellies and sauces.
• 15 min to the historic, charming downtown Durango
• 15 min to the slopes of Durango Mountain Resort
• 15 mins to the awesome Durango Nordic Center
• 5 min to the wonderful, relaxing Durango Hot Springs & Spa
• 5 min to the newly built PJ’s Gourmet Market/Bakery/Deli
• Surrounded by hiking trails, mountain bike trails, and ideal road bike routes

•Directions to all the local hiking trails, mountain bike trails, road bike routes and alpine and Nordic ski info in your welcome email.
• Covered patio for bikes, skis as well as an entryway Mudroom, please no shoes in the home besides the mudroom entrance.

No pets, we do have security cameras at the exterior entrances of the home. If we see anyone trying to sneak in a pet you will be immediately asked to leave with no refund.

Decorah High Point Cabins är värd
Shan being raised off of an Organic Dairy Farm in the driftless area of Wisconsin and JL as a smalltown boy with big dreams from Minnesota, our love for the outdoors has shaped our lives and livelihood. We purchased our own Ranch in Iowa in 2015 which homed five vacation cabins. We were two kids with no money to our name and only a dream and each other to give us the drive we needed to make owning land work, we made the cabins into a spectacular midwest escape called Decorah High Point Cabins. From there we expanded in and out of other vacation rental markets including Florida, Texas and Colorado. We love the vacation rental space because we know first hand how stressful life can be at times and we strive to give our guests an amazing and tranquil escape.

We chose this property because of the low altitude vantage point of 6,800 ft (any higher than 7,500 ft and it starts to mess with our sleep as we are not from the high country, we feel guests will appreciate this as well).
The Lodge has the convenience of being close to everything. Run to PJ's Market for some quick groceries or to James Ranch Market for some specialty items. Close to the Ski Hills as well as close enough to run into Durango for a night out on the town. We are incredibly in love with this Home and hope you are as well.
