Great house, close to all

Clean house, walking distance to town, close to whiteface - we enjoyed a long weekend stay and will be back!

Lake Placid Getaway

Excellent place to stay when in town. Away from busy streets, yet close to everything. Highly recommend for family with kids.

We really enjoyed our stay. It is close to Main Street and the lake. The owner was easy to communicate with and helpful. I would love to go back someday!

Great location

We had a great trip to lake placid. This house is perfect for walking to downtown or the ice rinks. There are plenty of comfortable beds. Great for two families.

Loved the location

The house was very close to town. Our family loved being able to walk to shops & restaurants. Back porch was very nice to sit outside & play games.

Great fall weekend

This property was conveniently located for walking to Main Street. The house was well appointed with plenty of seating both in the living area and at dining table.

Location was great! Enjoyed our stay. Only complaint was that it’s advertised as being air conditioned but only 2 bedrooms have air window units. Other bedrooms and rest of house do not have air condition.

Top shelf accommodations!

Wonderful house with many amenities. First time we've ever stayed at a rental with a full set of measuring cups, spoons and an array of actually sharp kitchen knives. Very tastefully decorated and charming. Plenty of room for our group of 8 to spread out. Our teens loved that it is a very easy walk to town, restaurants, Starbucks, ice skating etc. Would stay again.

Didn’t realize there were only three parking spaces until we received the info sheet from the host a couple days before our stay. Very minor complaint: would have been nice to have plastic wrap and aluminum foil provided. All in all great location and comfy lodgings.

Comfortable & Close To Downtown

Comfortable. Family friendly. Close to everything – a short walk to downtown coffee shops, restaurants, shopping & Ice Cream! Parking for 4 cars was not a problem. Well stocked kitchen & nice back deck. The owner, Chris, is extremely honest and helpful. He took the time to locate and ensure that we were able to get back items that were accidentally left behind after we departed.

Great location! So close to town. Big home- plenty of space for two families. No major issues- just that the Wii and other games didn’t seem to actually work. Also, the basement apartment is totally separate with no entrance from the main house. And the bunk beds are twin over twin- no full. Would have been helpful to know ahead of time for our sleeping arrangements. Otherwise, it was perfect!

Good location, dated property

Good location, owner is very forthcoming and helpful, property is a bit dated though, not much has been invested over the last decade or so: porch, furniture, quality of beds, mattresses, consoles, bathrooms, dishwashers etc. are all heavily used and in need of an overhaul for the price category (at least for the IM weekend). We had some mice incidents which seem to have been an exception. Internet & Samsung TVs are a highlight, availability of towels as well.

Thank you for feedback. We take pride in the quality and care of our home and disagress with a number of the comments Roberto made. Encourage foks to read through our reviews as we have very high reviews on the quality and comfort of the home. We do regularly update items in the house. Quite a bit of the furniture and mattresses are less than 5 years old. The winter last year did a number on the paint on the back porch (it was painted in 2021). and it is being addressed. The high end composite deck furniture was bought in 2021 as well, the living room couch in 2020, pub table in sun room 3 years ago as well as bunk beds and day bed in bunk room. Master bedroom was redone 5 years ago. as well as 2nd floor bathroom. All Televeisions in the house (6 Samsung smart TV;s) were purchased 2 years ago. First time we have ever had a mouse in the house since we purchased it in 2009. It was dealt with immediately. Thank you for the feedback.

Good house. Great location.

This house could not have been in a better location. It was a 5 min walk (or less) to Main Street shops and restaurants and also to a great park for the kids with a good sledding hill. Whiteface and other Olympic sites were all under a 20 min drive. The house had plenty of space for the 4 adults and 2 kids to spread out and enjoy. The check in instructions were not accurate though, so it took us awhile to get into the house. We also could not make sense of the gas fireplace instructions, and the house is in need of a few things like kitchen towels, wash clothes, and placemats. We would totally rent here again!

Hey Caroline. Apologize for any confusion. I will update isntructions based upon feedback. We recently upgraded the fireplace and instructions need to be updated to reflect the remote control fireplace. Also due to Covid we removed a lot of common used items and will put them back when appropriate. Glad you enjoyed the house. Chris

We loved our stay at this house and had a great vacation without worrying about any of our stay details. The location was prime. Just a short walk to Main Street and Mirror Lake. The owner was great! Very communicative and helpful. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the Mirror Lake area.

Comfy and Convenient

Our stay at 90 Hillcrest was an overall great experience for my family and I. There was plenty of room for all to stay comfortably. The back deck was a perfect place to gather for some good times! It was also conveniently located to Main Street and therefore allowed us to walk from the house when we wanted to explore. The host was very accommodating and graciously answered our requests when contacted. Anyone who chooses to stay here will not be disappointed :)

Great space and location

Plenty of nice common space to enjoy family time. Just a few minutes walk from main st. Pleasant back deck great for outside dining or game night. Would absolutely stay again.

Nice place in the heart of Lake Placid

The house was nice and roomy, I was there with 7 Adults and we all had enough rooms and beds. Chris was great to work with and was helpful when we set off the alarm :( Really like the location and the porch out back. The only negative i would give it is the microwave is wonky. You have to keep hitting +30 secs to make it work. the other buttons don't respond.. Great property would rent again! Robert

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We love the back deck too! I encourage renters to call or text me with any issues immediately. I address any issues as quickly as possible. The microwave is not very old (~2 years) but will have it tested and repaired or replaced asap.

Excellent location

We had a great stay. The location, 2 blocks to town and Mirror Lake, is so convenient. The owner Chris was always available to answer questions and share ideas about activities in the area. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you need for meal preparations. The internet service was good. We also rented the kayaks and used them nearly every day.
