Beautifully appointed, recently custom built very private one-bedroom apartment with gorgeous views of the Green mountains, lush fields and clay plain forests. In Spring, Summer and Fall sheep graze on the property, and deer and other wildlife are abundant. Native plants and trees attract birds and pollinators. There are roads and walking fields to explore right from the apartment as well as access to safe biking routes. Nearby attractions include Sunrise Orchards, Snake Mountain, historic Crown Point, and Lake Champlain for swimming and boating. We are also just a 10 minute drive to the Middlebury College campus (with free access to sporting events) and town full of unique shops, restaurants and galleries. We're happy to host and make your stay a happy one!

Comfortable and quiet

This was a lovely find which I would highly recommend. The views, the quiet surroundings, and the proximity to Middlebury were all bonuses. Clean and comfortable and dog friendly!

Winter retreat

A wonderful location with a spectacular view of Vermont’s winter landscape. Quiet yet graced with vivid birdlife. Just minutes from Middlebury and close to Nordic and Alpine Skiing. This modern apartment has all the amenities to make your stay warm and memorable.

Beautiful place

The apartment was clean, charming, had lovely views, and was very convenient to the town of Middlebury. Our hosts were wonderful. We had an issue with our vehicle and they graciously helped us deal with it. If you're visiting the Champaign Valley I heighly recommend this place.

Beautiful apartment!

Absolutely beautiful apartment, in a serene location. Had the best sleep ever, bed and linens are so comfy and has a neat lamp which dims as you go to sleep and gently wakes you up with warm light. All amenities were thought of by the owners as well as tea, coffee and creamer in the kitchen. Bathroom has the most heavenly soaps and hair products. Really loved our stay! Thank you both!

Perfect base for exploring middle western Vermont

This is a quiet, bright and sunny apartment with beautiful views of farmland and mountains. We explored Vergennes, Shelburn, Burlington, Middlebury and more. The hosts welcomed us with a fridge full of gourmet small batch coffee, maple syrup, ice cream, eggs, and more -- all from Vermont. What a lovely surprise! We are already imagining our next visit here.

A Cornwall Oasis

This is a 1st class venue and rates as my top experience with Vrbo and Brnb combined thus far. There was no stone left unturned in my apartment. I’m a day sleeper and Janie had a comfortable mattress, blackout curtains and a sleeping mask to boot. The fresh air in the apartment was priceless for those of us who have lung challenges. Eric & Janie were laid back, approachable and generous hosts. Their 2nd floor apartment had sweeping views of the Vermont countryside with an esthetic and quiet indoor space for rejuvenation. Bring your binoculars if you’re a wildlife observer. Thank you folks for a refreshing rest.

Charming and great location

Eric and Janie were great. Easy to communicate with. We were a group of three friends and two dogs. We fit comfortably in the space and both the humans and the doggos loved the gorgeous view from the big windows. The space was equipped with everything we needed. Middlebury was just a short drive away, the place was a great jumping off point to explore the area. Thank you!

New construction, bright and highly functional design, apartment separate from the house and very quiet. Views of open fields. Owner provided high quality amenities, eg. local cream for coffee, Vermont-made hair products. Unique sleeper-sofa (single) with purpose-made foam topper and sheets made this a comfortable sleeping option for my daughter. Short drive to Middlebury College, my main reason for booking here. Easy communication with owners who responded to all messages quickly. We had a lovely stay for graduation weekend.

Retired professor (Eric) and public health researcher (Janie) built this high efficiency home and moved in during the Fall of 2021. Janie's parents lived nearby for 30 years so even though we are new homeowners, we are very familiar with the area and are happy to share with you what we know of the surrounding area-- towns, restaurants, farmers markets, music venues, outdoor activities, etc.

Our architect and builders employed the most sophisticated, contemporary materials to maximize efficiency and light. Our home and apartment are powered by heat pumps, and ventilated continually. Huge windows bring the outside in. Most importantly, you'll love it!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Location: Beautiful, peaceful, rural location but close to Middlebury College and town (10 minute drive), Vergennes, Bristol, Brandon, Bridport, etc. and only 45 minutes to Burlington, including its international airport. We are also located near Lake Champlain, the 5th largest lake in the U.S. and ferries to New York and the Adirondack National Forest. Also ... you'll be close to many hiking trails, great cycling routes, mountains to climb, swimming in lakes and rivers, farmers markets, restaurants, music festivals, holiday entertainment, etc.

Comfort: Superbly comfortable mattress on the Queen bed in the bedroom and a custom kit containing a foam mattress, fitted sheet, pillow, etc. turn the couch into a 3rd sleeping area (kit has rave reviews).

Fully appointed : Oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, large closets, storage areas, mudroom in entryway with bench, full length mirror in bathroom, plus close up mirror for shaving, quality soaps and shampoo, luxury towels, leather couch, table for 4, artwork ... apt is neither cluttered nor stark!

High-speed Internet: We have fiber optic which makes our place easy to work from remotely. The common area is equipped with a desk for working.

Parking: Right next to doorway when not snowing; in garage if snow is predicted so early morning plow can clear driveway.

Streaming TV: Enjoy Sling, Apple TV, and Roku for streaming your favorites.

Complimentary blueberry pancake breakfast: Just add egg, water, blueberries and maple syrup for your first morning (all included).
