Super clean and just a great energy. It’s so peaceful and animals all around. Walk to the river was amazing. Family of deer just resting in the yard. We will be back :)

One of the most unique vacation rentals we have stayed at so far. Clean and quiet, adequately stocked kitchen, and peaceful surroundings. Perfect for 2-3 guests since there is one small bathroom. A short walk to the fishing creek. Butterball was a superb host. A little stinky - he is a farm dog LOL - but with the best personality. Highly recommend.

The fishing cottage is on a beautiful riverfront property with great river access. Convenient to Johnson City, Elizabethton, and Watauga Lake. Everything we were looking for a relaxing few days.

Great cabin on a farm next to a river. In addition to being a great place to go fishing, my girlfriend and I enjoyed the hot tub, cooking in the well equipped kitchen, and the farm dog Butterball was really entertaining!!

Our stay at the Fishing Cottage was wonderful! The property was clean and spacious. It had everything we needed for a weekend getaway.Butterball was the best host! I loved getting to drink my coffee and watch the horses and sheep roam.We can't wait to stay here again the next time we're in town.

I found the peace and privacy I wanted in abundance at this cottage, a great place to spend a few days recharging the Spirit. The covered deck and hot tub were especially relaxing. I only wish I'd brought my rod and reel to have a go at the river, a beautiful flow of water. I had zero issues with the property and the host was attentive to every inquiry. I will definitely recommend this place to friends.

We were pleasantly surprised by the openness of the cabin, inside and out. This was a lovely place for my husband and two of our girls to stay for two nights. We took advantage of the outdoors eating on the porch, walking the path or riding on the tailgate, fishing and kayaking as well as playing with the dog. We want to return when we have more time.

The location of the cottage was just breathtaking. The back porch made a really great spot to sit in the mornings and listen to birds and look at nature. Butterball was a wonderful addition as well. I know you’ll see a lot of reviews about him here, but you just never really know how he is until you get the chance to meet him in person! I would definitely recommend this stay to others, and I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Awesome little cottage so quiet all you hear is the birds chirping and the Watauga river flowing one the rocks behind the trees. Hot tub on the back deck was a nice addition once we figured how to get in and out of it without killing ourselves since we are not agile as we used to be. Very clean with a washer and dryer so you don’t have to pack a lot of clothes. Located on a farm isolated from the world but just a 10 minute short drive to Johnson city. Very comfortable and a great kitchen. You park right next to the entry door and often are greeted by their Golden Retriever. Communication is great with the host. Looking forward returning next year

This cottage was everything we hoped for and more. It was truly magical from the moment we arrived, greeted by not only butterball, but 2 horses strolling up to us as well. We had the most amazing time being escorted to the river and back every day by butterball. He did not leave our side or our cottage porch our entire stay. He was even a part of my proposal. Cottage was spotless and very well thought out and put together. All the little personal touches were wonderful. This will be our go to place every year we come back to the area.

This is our 2nd time staying here! It is just as beautiful as the 1st time!! Buter ball is the best. Such a nice relaxing place and the host are so great to work with! This is our go to place every time we come down this way!!!

We loved the cottage. It was clean, bright and well equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable. The farm was a delight with all the animals. We loved being able to access the river. I would recommend this property.
