It’s a cute small place. Great for a weekend trip to the mountains by yourself or as a couple. Ample private parking for up to 2 cars. The owners did a good job with decor. We appreciated the small but helpful details like having extra hooks and storage in the bathroom. Plenty of basic cleaning supplies were in the home and lots of extra towels were available. Home was clean, not spotless, but very acceptable. The main reason we would not book this one again was the mattress, it was extremely worn and uncomfortable. Perhaps if we know the mattress was replaced, we’d consider it again. It was fairly convenient to downtown. The walk is about 15 minutes to Main Street but it is hilly. We were there during a very busy fall weekend, and parking downtown was difficult, so having the option to walk did come in handy. There is traffic noise from the main highway that you can hear through bedroom window, so if you are a light sleeper, you will want earplugs or a noise machine. Instructions around TV access seemed incorrect as the cable box was not functional nor was the Spectrum app, but their smart TV allowed us to log into our own streaming services, so it was fine. Keurig coffee maker needs to be descaled, hopefully someone can attend to that. The back porch/deck was cute, but we didn’t use it since it was cold and the traffic noise is louder out there. Furniture was all clean and comfortable (with the exception of the previously mentioned mattress).

We're glad you enjoyed the home and its convenient location. The mattress was replaced when the unit was fully remodeled just a few years ago, and this is the first complaint we've received about its comfort. Of course, mattress preferences vary from person to person. As you mentioned, the home is within walking distance of downtown, and some road noise is to be expected with such a convenient in-town location. Thank you for your feedback.

It was the perfect cottage/house! Decorated so beautifully and super clean! Location was great! It had everything we needed and the owner even ran by and turned the porch light on when I told her we’d be arriving after dark!

We love this cabin. This is our 2nd time coming to celebrate our wedding anniversary of 42 years this year. If we were to change anything it would be to black out the windows in the bedroom (and that would be our request) and there needs to be a stable chair somewhere in living room for one to sit that has a possible bad back. There again that is our request, but we would definitely stay again! Love the area! Thank you for opening up this specialCabin.
Living area and Thai fireplace keeps the whole cabin warm. It’s awesome 😎

Excellent for shoppers and leafpeepers! We are seniors and the cabin is just the right size. A bit off of Main if you plan on walking to town, but just right if you would be driving anyway. Keurig machine is nice but kitchen needs a good old Mr Coffee coffeemaker.

Excellent place. So comfortable and clean. Easy walk to downtown Blowing Rock. Check in was a breeze! Had everything we could possibly need. Only thing to note… not a bad thing, but there is another residence below this house. They were quiet but definitely could hear some activity so startled us at first.

Perfect Small Rental

The rental was very cozy and perfect for a person by themselves or a couple! Everything was very clean and well organized, too. It was a perfect place to come back to after skiing/snowboarding.

Great place for a couple

This was such a nice property. It was on a dead end street, so no traffic. The house was beautifully updated and had easy access to town. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice stay for two

Everything about the house itself was very good and comfortable, and very convenient. The only issue is the road noise. The house looks down on 321 and the noise when you’re on the deck is really loud, however when you’re inside the house you don’t hear it. Nice place to stay.
