The Toasted Marshmallow is a perfect staycation/vacation cottage, welcoming guests to stay on a 68 acre tree farm with 6 Nigerian dwarf goats, 5 sheep & three chubby dogs.

The farm was recently quoted by Vinton Soil Water Conservation as a wildlife mecca, perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature & relax. Various species of birds, hawks, owls, deer, wild turkeys, geese & occasional bobcat may be spotted.

By booking a stay, you are agreeing to make a donation to The Toasted Marshmallow Trust.

We enjoyed our stay at the Toasted Marshmallow! It provided us with a peaceful place to relax and enjoy our weekend. The cabin was clean and the hot tub and fire ring areas were super relaxing!

Perfect base for our hocking hills weekend. The farm dogs were an added bonus. We loved Chompy...she was the sweetest pup.

Loved the remote location near the state parks. Nice long gravel drive out front, super quiet area. We loved having fhe dogs and other farm animals around. Firepit was nice, hottub worked great. Heat/AC both run very well inside. This space was the perfect size for the 2 of us and we will be back on our next trip to Hocking Hills.

We had a lovely time here! It was a great little getaway. The farm is beautiful, and it was so much fun to visit with and see all the animals! The goats and sheep are so cute and friendly- but the doggies really made our stay special!! The cabin was perfect for a couples vacation. The host was also very kind and communicative. I would definitely stay here again next time we visit the Hocking Hills area. :)

I got there was having troubles with my phone and could not pull up anything not even my phone was working. So couldnt pull up my info on how to get in. The owner seen i was having problems. And having words with my phone lol (we,ve all done it) he came to my rescue, got me in, And talked for short while. Good people, lovely property inside and out. Animals were great having around. I will definitely stay with them again next time a lil longer

This was an adorable, tiny cabin located in a peaceful area that was perfect for a weekend getaway! The dogs, cats, and goats were a bonus as well. The only area I did not give a 5/5 was the cleanliness, but even that was a minor thing. This was because they only gave us one full bath towel, so one of us had to use a hair towel for showers, and two towels had some stains on them. Additionally, there was no toilet paper holder, so you had to unroll the toilet paper manually; plus, the water at any time had the odor of "rotten eggs" from the well. Not sure if the well water odor can be fixed, but it would just be helpful to know about that possibility in the description. Otherwise, it was a great place and we would come again!

The hosts are so incredibly kind and very on top of things if you have issues. The place was perfect and we would definitely stay here again! The farm dogs are the sweetest (coming from someone who doesn’t like dogs all that much) and the whole atmosphere is amazing. It was nice to get out of the suburbs for a while and retreat back into nature! Perfect distance from Hocking Hills to beat the touristy places!

Perfect getaway!

We stayed here for a weekend on my boyfriend’s birthday and it was absolutely perfect! Place was clean and check in was so easy. The dogs were the highlight of our stay!! Along with the hammock and hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!

The absolute best getaway

My wife and I had the most amazing experience, the owners were amazing and so kind and were willing to stop and chat with us. We r had so much privacy and got to see and love so many animals. This was a great experience, the house is so cute and so put together. 100% will be back!

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful long weekend here. It was very clean and well appointed. Perfect for two people. The host was great at responding to any questions most times within minutes. The host was also great at respecting privacy, being out of sight out of mind. They let us know they were around and available if necessary
but otherwise not seen. And the animals
so fun and friendly. Dogs, cats and sheep
oh my!!! How fun to start the day giving crackers to the sheep! 10/10 would stay again

So peaceful

My wife and I have had a trying time lately with family issues and we desperately needed a small getaway. This place was perfect for that. As we are animal lovers we were greeted by the cutest cats, the most friendliest dogs and goats a plenty! Once night came it was quiet and peaceful and you could see every star in the sky. Thank you all so much! This was exactly what we needed!
