Obviously it’s never in great condition bc it’s a vacasa owned home, very worn. Dishes are all gross. Had to rewash them before using. They never sent the email with the code. Had to call and get them to send it. Told / ask them before the check in time. Didn’t get the code til 30min after check in bc I called. Wouldn’t even give us the 30min back in late check out. Communication was garbage, all answers came from a different person or bot. Was nice that all we had to do was toss the garbage and start the dish washer. Did not have to worry about much else clean up wise. Location was great. Three bikes were provided, one was broken. Technically 2 were broken bc there were 4 bikes, but only advertised 3 for that reason I would guess. Bed in master bed is in serious need of replacing. I will be sure to never stay at a vacasa 4th party place ever again if I can stay away from it. Bc it was terrible communication and over priced.

The listing was accurate. We did have problems with the code on the door. The call service was very nice and helpful. We did have the same issue throughout the stay we did leave the back door open for access. Other than that we had a great stay. Thank you

Great Location - Home A Bit Worn

We loved the location, but the home was loaded with spiders, most appliances did not work (dishwasher did not work, blender, toaster oven, the stove top only half worked) - plus the pots were scratched (and with Teflon not useable) The shower door was broken and would not close, the toilet paper roll holder had no dowel to hold roll, toilet seat very loose, door frames were chipped and dirty, hold in wall next the bed in room with bunkbeds, laundry closet had missing doors.

Close and roomy, but needs some upgrades.

We just stayed for two nights, and it was definitely not luxurious, but kind of what you might expect for a beach cottage. The pros were: there was definitely nice amount of room for our party of 6; we could spread out and had enough sleeping room. It was a 5 minute walk to the center of Ocean Beach. There was a lot of room outside, including a bonus room ("the hideaway") with a private bathroom. The outdoor shower was pretty cool too. There were definitely some upgrades needed though. Couch was pretty uncomfortable, and had a deep hole in one of the cushions. The beds were fine. The bathrooms were rustic, but things definitely could have been upgraded - like a shower door that closed or a towel hanger that wasn't an actual hanger. The stove did not work well at all; only one burner heated up, but it was slanted, so the pan didn't stay flat. None of the other burners on top worked and the quality of the pans were so bad, I couldn't even eat the breakfast I cooked. Also, the hot tub was not working at all during our stay and this was one reason we booked the place. They said it would be worked on the following day, but it wasn't. Just false advertising I guess. I didn't appreciate cleaners being at our front door at 9:45am, when it wasn't even check out time. They were literally waiting the minute it turned 10 to come in. I've never had that before. All in all, it was decent for our short trip.

Comfortable but not what you expect

It took me a bit of time to post this review because of an incident that was incredibly uncomfortable at the property. On the first evening of our stay, I was prompted by text to rate the cleanliness of the property and I responded honestly with a mediocre rating based on the cob-webs, moldy smells and greasy hand prints across walls. Much to my surprise (and everyone in my group), while we were eating dinner on the back patio a complete stranger stormed into the backyard confronting my guests about the rating without identifying herself or advising me that a visit would be made by a property manager. My guest calmly brought her to me inside where I was cleaning up some of the food, and she demanded that I walk her around right then and explain to her my rating. I did and it was extremely uncomfortable! My guests were prepared to call the police and we were all very frightened by the confrontation. Thankfully she left after I showed her the various issues. The pictures on the site are definitely not accurate- the house is a bit run down, couch is broken, bathroom fixtures are ripped off the wall, hot tub is questionable, and the kitchen stove is broken. The room accessed off the deck has major mold issues, you can smell it when you open the door and you can see mold built up in the ac unit. As such we did not use this space at all. The house overall is alright, just keep your expectations in check, understand that it is a beach house and a rental property used by many others

Perfect for a weekend!

We had a great stay here! The pictures accurately portrayed the house and there was plenty of space and a really nice outdoor space. There is a wagon at the ferry we weren't made aware of and a lock on the bikes with no code provided. Very much a bare bones house. Kitchen was adequately stocked. The stove only had one working burner. Felt the property was well priced. Would definitely come back!

Best location! Huge back deck.

Our group loved our stay at this house. We all fit comfortably and the location was absolutely incredible. Its a private walkway to the house right outside Ocean beach. We lost power due to a storm but it made the stay even funner. The vacasa team quickly communicated with us.

Sea La Vie Review

The house is in a great location, walking distance to town and beach. For a large group of friends or family, I would definitely recommend. Communication between customer service was satisfactory. The jets and filter to hot tub broke after first night, maintenance man was supposed to come take a look/fix it but that did not happen. The furniture and appliances are bit out dated and run down but overall, for the location and amenities, not much to complain about.

Good Time

The house was clean. Communication with management company was subpar. We got scripted responses to all questions, and false information. For example, we asked if hot tub was working and was told it was. When we arrived, the hot tub was broken and dirty. Also, check-out is at 10am and there is nowhere to leave belongings if you’d like to stay in FI for the day. They should allow a place to keep luggage prior to departure. Overall, great and clean house and amazing location!

Pleasant Stay due to Accommodating Management

Prior to my stay I saw a review on the property stating that this place was a mess and that there were several issues with the house. Naturally this concerned me, so I contacted the property manager and voiced my concern. The property manager was incredibly helpful, and always made himself available to me. Upon arrival, I was happy to find that the house was clean, and just about how I expected it to be. The hot tub was not working, but the property manager made sure that our group was compensated for the issue. Overall a great place to stay with a large group; the location is perfect, the deck is great, and the management was more than accommodating to make sure my needs were met.

The accommodations are clean and nice. However, a few issues to be aware of. The owner is not responsive in a timely manner. Also the hot tub didn’t work. I tried to contact the owner via the live chat twice and no response either time. Also a few of the patio chairs are unstable. Finally not a lot of directions in terms of necessary clean up etc. prior to checkout.

This house is misleading and deceiving. We were EXTREMELY disappointed when we walked in. On the day of check-in, we received a message that the hot tub was not in service. When we walked into the house, there was a load of laundry currently in the washing machine, as well as a pile of DIRTY laundry. Quality and cleanliness of the home was not to standard.

Bad Experience

The location of the house was great! small, quiet area however we did not have a great experience. We booked this home a few months in advance. 3 hours before our check in time we were notified that the hot tub was out of service, turns out it just wasn’t cleaned. Upon entering the home, it was a mess as well. Bathrooms were filthy and kitchen counters were sticky. There was also no cleaning supplies so we needed to buy our own and clean the house that WE pay for a cleaning fee for…. There was old drinks/beer in the fridge along with dirty tissues? We found cameras inside of the home filming us throughout the trip. 1. not only are you not allowed to have cameras in the home for privacy reasons but 2. it is against the rules of the company. Both back doors were open when coming into the house, which poses a saftey issue. We were also told that there was a working grill so we brought a ton of grilling supplies and food just to find out that the grill was out of service as well. Not only was it out of service but it was rusty, not cleaned from prior uses and had pools of water inside. 2 out of 4 stove tops are out of order. Imagine trying to cook for 8 people like that. Also, all smoke detectors in the house had no batteries inside of them. That is a safety hazard!!! Big heavy closet doors were off the hinges and just sitting on the wall which is also a hazard for kids. I am so disappointed about this house.

A real Vacation

This house is in a great location which is minutes from the beach, baseball field and restaurants. We had an amazing time barbecuing on the huge deck and relaxing in the jacuzzi. We can’t wait to stay her again next year!

We will be back again and again!!!!

If I could describe the property Sea La Vie in one word it would have to be “Extraordinary”. We enjoyed ourselves so much. Everyone had ample space to do their own thing. But when we can together we were able to have fun without being on top of each other. We were able to enjoy the day at the beach, and when we got home we got into the jacuzzi for some family fun. This property has literally everything you could want. An added plus was being able to use some of the board games that were on the fireplace, and us creating a new family tradition of playing a new card game my husband thought all of us. We couldn’t ask for more of Sea La Vie (btw we love that name of the property) We will definitely be back again and again!!

Fantastic!

Location is amazing! 5-7 minute walk from town, 10 minute walk to the beach. House is very nice and spacious. We were 12 people and there was enough room for everyone. The outdoor hot tub was fantastic and the deck was MASSIVE! Would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great time and fantastic location without the volume level that comes with staying on the main street

The house location and size is great but renovations are incomplete - exterior doors that don't lock, missing window screens, construction trash out back. Biggest issue was a broken AC unit in the main room which was never fixed despite many texts, visits from workmen etc. The customer service from Vacasa was non-existent. Hope they can get it together!

Dream getaway at Sea La Vie

My family and I had the opportunity to stay at Sea La Vie and it was absolutely perfect! The house is a short walk to the restaurants, shops, market and to the gorgeous beach! The house was spacious with plenty of rooms for us. We loved jumping into the jacuzzi and the addition of an outdoor shower was a plus as well. The deck is perfect for entertaining a large group with plenty of seating. The check in process was seamless and we will definitely be staying here again!

Great stay!

I stayed with my family, which includes 2 small children. The house was perfect for us. There are enough rooms to accommodate multiple families comfortably. The back deck was very large and the hot tub was a great feature. At night the deck lights made rainbow colors, the kids loved this feature! This listing did not have a lot of reviews when we booked, so I wasn't sure about a few things, but was happy that we found this listing last minute. Some info for future guests: -About a 7 minute walk from the ferry. Shorter walk if you are going from the house to the start of the town (opposite side of ferry). -Same amount of walking to get to the beach. The house is on the bay side, there is one swimming option for the bay side, it is off the deck closer to town with a lifeguard present. -There are most things that are needed in the kitchen. Random spices, coffee filters, tin foil, pots/pans, reg coffee pot and Keurig machine. There are only ice trays, no ice maker, so plan accordingly. -It was mentioned, but the room with the blue couch is on the other side of the deck, so kind of detached from the house. We only used it for the bathroom when in the hot tub. -Plenty of towels! Also, extra blankets, and pillows if you need. -All AC units worked well. -WIFI worked great in the house. -Small soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided. A few suggestions that I have: -New pans for the kitchen. They are very scratched up and the Teflon is scratching off. This may not bother some, just something I noticed. -There are about 4 beach chairs. We only used 2 of them, so I'm not sure of the condition of all of them. But they did seem like they were on their last leg, and some, missing the back pack straps to carry with more ease. -There were NO beach umbrellas. I specifically asked about this (because it was not listed on the listing), and was told there was one. -Neither umbrella on the deck works properly. The large navy one did not open, and seemed to be missing a major piece. The tan one was on such a wobbly stand, that it was a danger to have open. It is hard to enjoy the beautiful deck, when it is very sunny and hot. -The couch with the blue cushions was very nice, but can use some upgraded cushions. They were very flat and it was uncomfortable to sit on. -The hot tub did not get very hot. It was comfortable, but only went to about 85 degrees (this could be a pro or a con). -The WIFI router is on the opposite side of the house, which made the reception a

Great Private Escape

This house was great for our group. The room with the futon is completely separate from the rest of the house with its own half bath. My teen and his friend loved the privacy away from the rest of the group. The deck was amazing with tons of seating, outdoor shower and a hot tub. Having 3 double beds and a queen inside allowed for kids to share beds. The queen bedroom has access to the deck, its own bathroom and space for a pack-n-play or blow up. Each room has its own air conditioner which I liked because it drowned out the noise from other rooms while sleeping. Some suggestions would be to have more beach chairs available (2 had the straps missing) and bikes available for use. We had a great stay and loved that there wasn't a week long minimum.
