We stayed here four nights in July 2025. The house is attractive and feels surprisingly spacious despite the modest size. The front room has a high ceiling and lots of windows. The bedroom is roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge, and the bathroom contains a large shower with nice design features. We appreciated having the washer and dryer, and the front porch was a great place to drink coffee and watch bunnies in the mornings! The location is convenient to Bryson City, Cherokee, Sylva, Deep Creek and lots more. Reaching the house requires a short drive along a one-lane road with some blind curves, which was a little nerve-wracking the first few times. But all in all, this is a great little house!

Peaceful Weekend Getaway

This home was perfect for a weekend getaway for two. The setting was quiet and peaceful. The home was very nice, extremely clean, and well maintained. The bed was so comfortable. We loved the rain head shower. The hot tub was a big perk. We hiked and went to the casino during our stay and the location was ideal right between downtown Bryson and Cherokee. Would definitely recommend and we plan to return!

The perfect size...

The home was the perfect size for my husband and I. We really loved the design! The location was great, as it was just secluded enough, but also not difficult to get to nearby towns. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Clean, fully stocked and super convenient!

We’ve taken several trips to the the Cherokee and Bryson City area over the years and this was bar far one of our best rentals. The house was just as advertised, perfectly stocked with everything you could need and easy to get to.

So disappointing

This place was a huge letdown. The slippery stones outside are a major hazard, I actually slipped multiple times. The inside floors are a death trap if any water gets on them which does when there's a hottub. I fell and hurt my knee day one. It felt like safety and basic comfort were afterthoughts.Inside, the linens, towels and toilet paper were thin and scratchy and looked like they came from the dollar store. The sheets didn’t even smell clean. Every single freaking night, the fitted sheet came loose and woke us up. There was a constant nasty odor we couldn't escape, and we found cobwebs in the corners and dirt on the lamps. The whole place just felt poorly maintained. We ended up buying candles just to try and get rid of the smell. The hot tub was a joke.. the cover was falling apart, the headrests were missing, and the whole thing looked and felt neglected. We loved hottubing with chunks of plastic in the water. No coffee was provided either, which is such a basic thing. Hot water didn't last longer than 10-15 minutes, the shower door strip was falling off which made the shower door not even close right.Everything felt like it was done as cheaply as possible. It’s clear they care more about making as much as possible vs making their guests feel comfortable or safe.Lastly, free speech exists. The audacity to try and control what language I use at the vacation home I paid for with my own money.. hilarious. Do better guys. This sucked.

Amazing Cabin

Amazing Weekend Getaway

If you are looking for an awesome little getaway spot this is it!! This place is unbelievably clean, private surroundings, and close to Bryson City and Cherokee. King size bed in the master has the best mattress for a great restful sleep. The hosts are easy to work with and very responsive to questions. We will definitely stay here again and also consider their other properties through Rustic Rest Cabins!!

Exceptional Home

Can I just say I absolutely loved the rain shower! My favorite part was the sleeping loft (bunk bed). This place was exceptionally clean and we loved the layout of the home and enjoyed the fire pit and brand new hot tub. Highly recommend!

Quick weekend getaway

Unit was very nice & clean. Wanted to use the hot tub but it read cleaning solution was over due to be changed by 80 days. Other than constant dog barking at lower neighbor out front, we enjoyed our stay! Thank you.

Perfect Getaway

A perfect modern cabin in the hills of North Carolina. We really enjoyed our time here. The cabin had almost everything we needed to relax and stay in. The Christmas decorations were a fun touch, and the hot tub was just what we were looking for during a cold week. The area was quiet, and it felt private. The only things we noticed are there were not any tools for the grill (grill brush) and no oven-safe deep dish. Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a mountain getaway that still feels like home.

Smoky mountain retreat

Peaceful beautiful and comfortable cabin in the mountains minutes from Cherokee and the smoky mountain national park. I was very happy in my choice of locations on the quieter North Carolina side. Enjoyed exploring the quiet Cataloochee and Deep Creek areas of the park and all of the Cherokee cultural sites. I have to admit the mountain road that the cabin is on intimidated me at first until I got used to it. I would not have wanted to arrive for the first time at night. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Brian and Sarah’s cabin in the mountains.

My kind of escape

The property was definitely beautiful, not much of an area for a pup to go to bathroom besides on a steep hill so keep that in mind if you bring yours with, at one point we went to a local area down the mountain for our Great Dane to go potty. Other people were not respectful of the property and left there dog poop behind which ended up being walked in (not the property owners fault, just arrogant dog owners). Perfect size for a smaller family, the heaters/propane fire place worked amazingly and kept the place so snuggy! Our kid enjoyed climbing up and down the ladder to the bunk beds, it became the highlight of the trip! Be mindful if you like the privacy of curtains in a place, the master bedroom back window, bunk bed windows and large side living room window are not covered, this became inconvenient for me as I had a new baby which meant feeding the baby/expressing without feeling like I was totally covered (I’m sure no one can see, but it’s the thought of having windows not covered, left me uneasy), while others may enjoy it being you’re on a mountain side with nature all around to look out at. We wouldn’t use the hot tub especially at night due to its location, just not ideal but I’m sure during the day when wildlife isn’t so present, it’s beautiful. Definitely be mindful of when they say you may need 4wd, it’s gravel roads the whole way up/down, it’s no joke! The property owners were amazing with communication and being sure we enjoyed our time! We will be back for sure!

There are so many hiking trails, waterfalls, and things to do it can become overwhelming! Another benefit of booking with us is the experience and level of control we have over our property. My wife Sarah and I manage the property ourselves and therefore control cleaning products that are used in the home. Our goal is to have as chemical free environment as possible. We proudly use Mrs. Meyers products, hydrogen peroxide based(bleach free) bathroom cleaner, paraben free naturally derived body wash, and 100% natural essential oils for our cabin’s signature scent. The hot tub is chlorine free; we use Bromine, a safer way to sanitize the spa.
