Welcome to Half Dome Hideout!

The ULTIMATE basecamp into Yosemite!

Nestled in Mariposa, Half Dome Hideout is the perfect access point into Yosemite National Park. Mariposa is known for being a quaint, small town with all the amenities you could need before and after your day in Yosemite. There are almost no national chains here; giving Mariposa a unique mountain town feel.


Half Dome Hideout is an ideal spot for launching you and your family into Yosemite as well as being in town to take advantage of the amazing community essentials! Within walking distance we have a delicious health food store (with a deli and made to order salads) and the incredible Pony Express coffee shop!

We are so happy to offer wonderful outdoor spaces at the house for you and your family to enjoy and create memories. Ping pong, foosball, and corn hole! We also have outdoor seating for al fresco dining! On the cooler crisp nights there is a gas fire pit that is perfect to cuddle up to and enjoy the mountain air!

The house features 3 uniquely inspired rooms and can sleep a total of 7 people (with the 7th person weighing under 100 pounds as its on top of the bunk bed) and 1 bathroom.

House Features:
-In town with close proximity to dining, grocery, coffee, and shops!
-Dedicated covered outdoor play area with ping pong, corn hole, etc (perfect for kids) Outdoor ceiling fans to help keep cool in the summer!
-Gas Grill for those grilling summer evenings!
-Outdoor deck with gas fire pit
-Fully stocked kitchen with all essentials (including blender and toaster)
-50’ SmartTV for streaming on multiple apps
-High Speed Internet DSL
-‘Kids room’ with games, books, toys, art supplies (keep them entertained!)
-Kid friendly plates/cups dishes
-Memory foam mattresses with plush linens
-Bathroom: Fluffy towels, high-end shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, body lotion, hairdryer
-Zonal whole house A/C
-Yosemite ‘essential pack’ for guests that includes: reusable water bottles, sunscreen, insect repellant.
-Coffee Bar: Coffee, tea, hot chocolate provided for guests with cream/sugar

-Guest Binder! Experience Mariposa like a local!

Transparency:
-Because we are in town we have some highway noise during the day. In the evening it is quite serene and peaceful.
-While we do have a lot of privacy we do have a neighbor that is visible and right next to the property. We are part of a small community and our neighbors embody that!

When I first visited Mariposa it had an allure to it that was hard to ignore. I am a very outdoorsy person so when I got to experience all that the area had to offer I had to find a place of my own. I wanted to find the balance between being close to town while also not sacrificing privacy or closeness to nature. This is when Half Dome Hideout was born! To me this house strikes a great balance and I am happy to share the house when I am not using it for me or my family! I hope you enjoy it has much as I have!
