Minutes from beautiful Windmark beach, Saint Joe Beach, Mexico Beach and historic downtown Port Saint Joe. Close to excellent restaurants, shopping district full of gorgeous boutiques and natural beauty including state parks. This house has everything for the whole family to feel at home. Located in gated community with two pools, hot tub, and small fitness center.

Turtle Inn is a family-friendly 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home. Two screened-in porches to enjoy outdoor living. The two bedrooms are located upstairs each with their own private full bathroom. Large kitchen with newer appliances and beautiful quartz countertops. Spacious living area with an oversized comfy couch! Electric car charging hook up, recharge your vehicle while you relax.

We offer monthly discount rates. We also offer services in Spanish and French. The “Forgotten Coast” is known for its peace and tranquility and is a wonderful place for a beach vacation.

No RVS, trailers, or boats are allowed inside the community gates.

Port St Joe Getaway

The location is great, between Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe. The home itself is in a great location within the community. Close to the pool and still in a quiet area. We did bring extra towels and wash cloths based off of another review and we’re glad we did. We loved our stay and had a wonderful time.

Turtle Inn at Barefoot Cottages

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Barefoot Cottages in early October. The weather was perfect and the Turtle Inn cottage did not disappoint. Our stay was very comfortable. Breakfast on the screened in porch was a favorite. We were able to relax there and WindMark beach was a close drive. We thoroughly enjoyed the shops and restaurants in Port St Joe. We also drove to Mexico beach and enjoyed the Shipwreck restaurant there. Apalachicola was only a half hour away. We loved the shops and fine dining at The Owl Cafe. We would definitely return to Port St Joe. This was our second time at Barefoot Cottages and we like the trails throughout the property for our miniature dachshund.

Turtle Inn

Cute cottage nestled in the palm trees! Convenient to downtown Port St Joe. Two minute drive to Windmark Beach, five minute drive to Mexico Beach. There are two pools on the property. This cottage is closer to the smaller pool however a long walk or very short drive and you are at the larger pool area. If you have pets this is the best place to stay because of all the additional walking area for pets. The screened in decks were amazing for reading and enjoying the night bug free! The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was clean. I see a bathroom renovation in my future because the showers were amazing!

My parents and I stayed here for Labor Day weekend. My dad is almost 80 and uses a cane to walk. I was worried that the stairs up to the 2nd floor bedroom would be a problem for him, but he managed it just fine.The house itself was great. Very, clean. Spotless.It was nice that the 2 bedrooms (both upstairs) each had their own full bathroom. My parents had theirs and I had my own. The bath linens (towels, wash cloths, etc) were plentiful and good quality.All the rooms had ceiling fans that worked and were not noisy.I can't say much about the community as we were really only at the house to sleep each night. Other family had rented a house down at Cape San Blas, so we pretty much spent all our waking time down there with the rest of our family (cousins, my brother and his family, etc.).Also, Willie was very responsive in communication at every step of the way. We were originally booked to bring my dad's dog. But, his dog was elderly and passed away the weekend before our stay. I messaged Willie just to let him know we would not have a dog after all and he processed a refund of the pet fee within about 10 minutes of me sending him a note. I wasn't really even expecting a refund. Getting that and so promptly was much appreciated.Overall, it was a nice place and we enjoyed being there. We would definitely rent it again.

Barefoot Cottage community was a lovely vacation spot. So close to beaches and Downtown Port St. Joe. Owner was very responsive; would definitely stay here again!

Vacation

My husband and I were very pleased with our accommodations. The location of the cottage was perfect. We had great access to the beaches. Hot tub and pools were very nice. I would suggest an upgrade in the towels and washcloths. What we had was fair. It would have been nice to have access to more towels. We also did not have access to any extra kleenex, paper towels, trash bags. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Host was very accommodating.

We absolutely loved everything. So close to the bay and beach. You can literally see th3 water from the porch. Very quiet with pools and a hot tub. I wouldn't change a thing about our stay. 5 stars across the board.

What a Great Time

Everything was as it was described in the Listing. Willie was there to answer any questions we had. Easy check in, very clean. Great location. Pool right outside building. Everything worked as it should and we had plenty of room. Only thing is it would have been good to have a baby gate and maybe an iron.

Great location but uncomfortable furniture

While the location is great, the furnishings of the cottage left much to be desired. The master bedroom had a soft bed. The living room had low squishy sectional sofa that was difficult to get off of. We brought in two chairs from the front porch -- while they were high enough, they were uncomfortable.

Barefoot Cottages getaway

Relaxing week stay. Cottage was just as advertized. Enjoyed several afternoons by the smaller pool. Explored areas to the north and south, perfect location.

Girls Night

Last minute trip to beautiful Port St. Joe for a night. Very nice and quiet, convenient to restaurants in the area. Close to the beach. Always love this area!
