Fernleigh är en vacker tre sovrum stuga, som ligger bara några minuter från stranden. Fastighetsägare var en gång ägarna av den tidigare antikaffären i Seaside som heter "Fernleigh". Även om stugan är fylld med vackra antikviteter, är det familjevänligt och välkomnar barn i alla åldrar.
Hemmet välkomnar dig med en stor skärmad veranda som har en gunga på ena sidan och gungstolar runt ett litet bord på den andra. Du går in i loftet vardagsrum med öppen spis, spelbord, matplats och kök. Hallen som leder till sovrummet med king size-säng har också en tvättmaskin och torktumlare garderob. Den anslutande mästaren badet har en gammaldags klo fot badkar med dusch bifogad. Du hittar tillgång till baksidan veranda genom både köket och sovrummet.
På övervåningen hittar du det andra och tredje sovrummet med ett gemensamt badrum (endast dusch) mellan de två sovrummen. Sovrummet till vänster är ett drottning sovrum med tillgång till balkongen. Sovrummet till höger har en dubbel dagbädd med trilleutdrag. Detta sovrum har också tillgång till balkongen med sittplatser och utsikt.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the house is ideal, but the house itself is not. The furniture is not comfortable, especially when the weather keeps you inside most of the day. The bathroom set up is not great either shower is very small, and the down stairs toilet sounds like it’s screaming. The bedrooms up stairs have no TVs and the linens are low quality. Of all the places we have stayed in this area this is by far the least comfortable.

Cluttered and outdated

The best thing about this house is the proximity to the beach, restaurants and shops. The front porch is also a pleasant spot, but the fans don’t work. The master bathroom was ridiculous. Huge claw foot tub/ shower that sat caddy corner in the middle of the room with a smallest toilet I’ve ever seen. Also a ridiculously small bathroom mirror with terrible lighting. I could only see my face and some of my hair. The living area had small comfortable loveseats but most of the chairs in that area were small metal chairs the were VERY uncomfortable. Additionally, the main living area was so cluttered with decor and uncomfortable metal chairs, it was difficult to maneuver around these areas at all. The house’s motif was BIRDS…. everywhere. The only other bathroom was upstairs and had to be shared by 4 people, so that wasn’t ideal. We tried to make the best of it but definitely disappointed. The photos in the listing were not representative of the actual space.

Seaside experience

We stayed in the Fernleigh cottage in Seaside. The cottage is very quaint and charming. The screened front porch is so inviting and we enjoyed having our morning coffee and evening cocktails there. We were attending a wedding and were able to walk to all the events. Location was perfect! Would highly recommend booking a stay.

Wonderful stay in the beautiful Seaside community

Location! Location! Location!

This house is perfectly situated across the street from the Savannah Beach Pavillion (book your chairs at the Pavillion through cabanaman.com) and the "Square." Quiet neighborhood with onsite security. House was well equipped with all the necessities that you need to cook and relax. Be careful with tiny humans, as there are a lot of home decor items that are breakable. Thouroughly enjoyed the stay and the short walk to all things Seaside! Thank you, Fernleigh!

Quaint but uncomfortable!

This property was beautiful and quaint, filled with antiques, original pine floors and trim, and a perfect location. However, there was no comfortable seating in the house, only wicker love seat, a two seater wooden bench, and two very antique uncomfortable rockers. Other than that, it was great.

Best location!

We loved Fernleigh! The location was amazing! Steps from the beach and town meant we rarely got in our car the whole trip. The cottage is quaint and feels like you’re back in time, but it’s still spacious, and the screened in front porch with the swing was where we spent most of our time if we were home. The bikes were a bonus, and we used them daily. The bottle of wine and the seaside cooler and towels were a great touch! Thanks for a great end to a not so great year. We will be back!

A sweet cottage with a perfect location

The location is a ten out of ten- close to the beach, close to the pool, close to town for restaurants and shopping..I would say the bathrooms could use updating. The upstairs bathroom has a very small stall shower, and the primary bedroom has a claw foot tub/shower- awkward to use if mobility is an issue. The furniture and decor is so cute but the couches in the living room should be more comfortable. We loved the screened in front porch! Kitchen was well equipped except we needed salt and pepper.

Great House But COVID Precautions Abandoned In Town + on Beaches

Also, according to the site, social distancing was going to be practiced on the beaches, and this also wasn't true. was the Homeowner's Collection bullied by owners and/or guests into abandoning its pandemic precautions?

Very nicely located, full of antiques

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were here for a long weekend with our two college-aged daughters. The house was perfect for us. My only complaint would be there there isn't a comfortable lounging spot. The furniture is darling, but doesn't lend itself to relaxing. That said, the water pressure was AWESOME so showers, etc. were fabulous. The beds were adequately comfortable and there was plenty of chairs and space to sit. The porch is very nice and we enjoyed some time out there, but once it gets hot I'm not sure how much time you'd want to be out there. The location is probably one of the best features - the third(?) house off of 30A. So close to town and the beach was close and spectacular.

Fernleigh experience

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The exterior of the cottage was classic old Florida. The interior was untouched in the last 30 years. Blinds , lamps lighting fixtures operated in consistently. The furnishings had no comfortable seating, 20 chairs and 2 loveseats. The porch and its furniture were great! Bathing was an issue. The upstairs shower was so small you couldn’t turn around. The master bath had a footed tub with circular curtain; dangerous to enter and exit. There was no guest half bath on the first floor. All appliances and kitchen faucets were newer and worked well! Lots of excellent water pressure and hot water.

Great location, NOT a good interior set-up - LOOK AT PICTURES

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This location is great but there are many issues with this rental. The NOT GOOD: This rental is fine if you are over 40 and have good memories of your grandmother's house. Study the pictures -- this is NOT set up well to be a rental house. The claw foot tub/shower downstairs is the height of inconvenience. There are small tables, chairs, privacy screens and the like all over the place making it difficult to move suitcases and beach gear around. The TVs are small. This is not a house you would describe as comfortable. It would NOT be good for family with smaller children. It appears to be owned by an older couple who likes LOTS of old stuff that is never supposed to be actually used. The GOOD: Kitchen is fine and well equipped. Bed linens are good. Water gets and stays hot, good water pressure in showers. Outfitting by Homeowner's Collection service is great -- everything was organized and included. Summary: to be a good rental this house needs a complete remodel of bathrooms and complete change-out of furniture.
