Located a mere 7-10 minutes from downtown Boone. Elk Knob State Park is a 12-minute drive and features one of the highest peaks in North Carolina's high country.

Great place to stay for a weekend trip

Stayed here for a cousins snowboarding trip. Location was great. Away from the noise of the city but still close enough to enjoy Boone and Blowing Rock. Everything met expectations. Great place to stay for a weekend trip.

Great Mountain View Getaway

Beautiful place. Everything you could need. Location is perfect for anything you could want to do around Boone. Was perfect for my husband and I. Our dog sassy enjoyed it to. Highly recommended

Came to town for Homecomeing and Hiking

Very nice property, awesome views in the morning as the sun comes up. Very close to Boone and to lots of hiking. Will definitely be coming back!!

Tiny home with a nice view

We had a nice stay at the cabin. The views are stunning. We loved watching the animals all around us. The tiny home is a standard tiny home. If I had to complain about something it would be the shower was either way too hot or way too cold and we couldn’t make it comfortable. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would stay again.

My wife and i really enjoyed the cabin. Perfect location with great views and quiet setting while still being close enough to all the attractions. Cabin has that mountain getaway feel and is well crafted. The host is very communicative which allowed us to easily access the cabin even on a late arrival.

This property was exactly as advertised. We loved the long distance views, the cows that greeted us each morning, and the proximity to Boone. Our host was incredibly helpful and responsive. We will definitely return soon!

Location!

We stayed here while visiting App State for our daughter’s orientation. It’s a perfect peaceful location! We plan to stay here every time we visit! Not only is it close to App State, but it just minutes away from a fantastic bike park!

Elk Knob Escape

Cute little cabin with extraordinary views of the mountains. The cabin was clean, well-stocked and fit our family comfortably. We felt secluded even though we were so close to downtown Boone. Highly recommended!Ps. We loved seeing the cows on the farm, that was a nice surprise.

Weekend getaway

This cabin was perfect for us! We had planned a snowtubing trip and wanted to stay close to restaurants and downtown. This cabin was clean and cozy. The views were beautiful! And we loved how dark the skies were. My son brought his telescope for night sky viewing. Our shower water was cold! Maybe getting up to room temp, but still not comfortable for me. That was my only issue. Everything else was great.

A Slice of Heaven

What a view! The mountain vistas during the day and the stargazing at night were breathtaking. The pair of friendly goats who gave us a surprise greeting when we arrived felt like a gift. The only aspect of our stay I wish could have been different was the shower, which had minimal pressure and limited ability to control the temperature (which was skin-peeling hot). Still, I’m already dreaming about when I can return.
