Great Weekend Getaway

This is a beautiful/spacious home that provided a great weekend getaway for us. The large backyard pool area gives it a private resort feel with lots of space for activities if you have a good size family or group. Very secure/safe feel to the area and house is located in a centralized area with easy access to all the wonderful things St. Simons offers. Will definitely save this home for future visits in area!

Beach vacation 2023

The house was beautiful and had more then we needed! Easy walk to several restaurants. The back yard was perfect for the dog and the pool was great. We all loved it.

Pool dirty, vacuum not working. All utensils, dishes, pans dirty. Rec room smelled like mold, extremely musty, we did not use.upstairs bedroom with black mattress surround was peeling, yulk! Upstairs bathroom exhausted, loud steel noise, we did not use. Lamps in Upstairs tv room, not working. Rotten boards on back steps, porch. Owner needs stepping stones from house to pool. Lawn service mowed and we tracked grass in. I didn't pay to clean house. You should disclose home is in flight path and a bar is in back through marshland. Would not recommend property!!!.

This is a very nice house.

We stayed 3 months over winter. At the time of this review, the virtual tour is 100% accurate and can answer many questions. Here’s what you can’t see; the kitchen is reasonably well stocked with cooking and serving utensils. The “gas grill for cookouts” is nonexistent outside. The gas Wolfe stove in the kitchen does have a grill but the exhaust fan does not work…at all. We only used the primary bedroom on the second floor and it is spacious and comfortable. The primary bath has a nice shower with dual heads but only one of the heads works properly. Still a very nice shower but the addition of a second head would make it awesome! The grounds/pool are well maintained but given the cooler temps we only went out for the dog. Pool is very nice to look at! We would recommend this home.

Family Vaca

We had a great family vaca, starting with our house rental. The gated community provided a sense of security. The house was comfortably decorated with interesting artistic pieces, and the main floor is furnished in a comfortable, elegant style. It accommodated our group of 7 adults and a baby very well, from a space perspective as well as amenities. The office on the main floor is perfect for setting up a family puzzle area. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of small appliances, blender, large toaster, food processors, etc. The gas range has 6 elements, a grill area, and 2 ovens. The floor plan in general is great; but, in particular, the bedroom level is notable. Because of the floor plan, the noise level is minimal. Those of us who watch TV late at night did not annoy others. The “den” area on the bedroom level was perfect to set up a pack-and-play crib for the baby. None of us heard the baby crying in the middle of the night (of course, her mom had a baby monitor!), since the den has doors and is not just an open area. The twin bedroom is fine for kids, but the mattresses are really not adequate for adults. Vacasa was easy to work with, and they responded quickly to all of our questions and issues. Our group highly recommends this rental.

Poor treatment by VACASA St Simons

VACASA lied to us about the condition of the property before we arrived - a/c was out but they said they put in cooling units. When we got there, there were no cooling units and it was 89 degrees in the bedrooms. I called and they said they ran out of units and had no more, but they would buy one room cooling unit and bring it the next morning. They refused to buy more and lied that none were available to purchase in the area. So they lied to us about having cooling units in the house and about more being available for them to purchase. We ended up with no air on all three floors most of the week since the other two floors a/c went out, too. They promised to reimburse us for air mattresses then refused to reimburse us. We are out $200 since the mattresses cannot be returned. They still have not compensated us and keep stalling on giving us their compensation figure. I have never been treated so poorly by a rental management company. There is not enough space here to explain all of the back and forth and poor treatment. I will never stay in another property in St. Simons that VACASA manages. It was a nightmare.

Not so great

Arrived 6.10.23. Upon arrival entering thru the basement big musky smell. Went upstairs to find food and lots of white dog hair all around the kitchen table and kitchen. 2 days later still was sweeping dog hairs. 7 out 8 people got sick not sure from mold that we found in the laundry room, study or master suite closet. Calling Vacasa was a joke. Was told someone would be out in 2 hours. Then we get a call from “local” manager Ty who was quite rude informing me the inspector would be there on Fri around 10. If I wanted to start the process I could check out. What the heck. I am on vacation with a group of 8 — 7 hours from home!!! Told him I would check with group as the youngest is 2 and oldest is 83. I called and texted never heard back from him until 430 in the afternoon. I ask if they had anything else available he informs me about another rental company. Hello most places require at least 5 night minimum he offers NO HELP. Finally just said we will stick it out. Inspector was due at 10 on Friday 1020 I call him he inform oh he texted me early and it would be after his lunch. he never had intentions on notifying us of the delay!!!! I have pics of the mold on the vents and the water damage at two windows that has been happening for a while of windowsills rotting from damage. Lots of issues that need to be addressed. I am not even sure the property owners are kept informed of issues

Beautiful house, private pool and area! We fell in love with St.Simons Island. Perfect home and everything was so close; beach, restaurants, shopping, park, pier and of course ice cream! Loved our family vacation week here. We will be back :)

Great space for families

The home itself is very spacious and great for a large family to spread out and have their own space. We loved the kitchen, pool, and large backyard. With all that being said, this home is also in need of some TLC and deep cleaning.

A home I wished I owned

It's not too often I find a home that makes me with I lived there but this home was it! I will be bookmarking this home for future visits. We have a large family and prefer private quiet locations with lots to do and great cooking facilities--this house checked all the boxes. Thanks for a great stay.

Great Marsh Side Home

We enjoyed our stay here; the kitchen is great and the house is spacious and comfortable. The views are outstanding and the pool is wonderful. Location is good too, not too far from the good stuff. When we arrived, cleaning was still working and they returned the next day on their own request to finish up, because the vacuum had broken. This is a rental property and that shows, so if you're looking for "pristine" or great mattresses, skip this one, but if you just want a comfy house with a great view, plenty of space, and a pool, this is the perfect not so little place. It is in a gated community, with friendly and quiet neighbors, which helps add to the peacefulness. We were there during Helene and had impacts from the storm. Property management was quick to respond in the ways that they could. We hope to be back soon :)

Comfortable, Elegant, Gracious, and Spacious

Great location! Super marsh view. Easy, .7 mi, drive to wonderful East Beach. Very close to great restaurants. Quiet, gated community. Great pool, could use a few lounge chairs for pool deck. Comfortable! Plenty of space for all. Loved having bath for every bedroom, and then some! Wi-Fi worked fine for all. Home is well kept, but probably about 20 years old, so you can relax a little with kids! Just FYI, there are 16 steps to climb to get to second floor, and about 16 more steps to get to top floor. Also, not seen in pics, but there is a Keurig for coffee, etc.

Great beach vacation house!

Great home for large groups

We come to the island frequently and have stayed at a number of homes around the island. This is by far the best one we have found for large groups. It is very kid friendly and so many options for relaxing both inside & outside. Even is you are not traveling with kids, its a great place with a super kitchen, nice office if you have someone who has to conduct some business, and great location w/ an easy stroll to the beach or Village.

Quiet and Relaxing

House was great! We thoroughly enjoyed both the amenities (pool, enormous bathtub and the gas stove & icemaker) and its centralized location - close to the beach but still fairly quiet!! We definitely enjoyed staying here - this place was a perfect getaway

Beautiful location

We had a great time at this beautiful house. A group of friends got together for a Quilting weekend and we had a great time at the home and in the surrounding community. So many wonderful little shops and great places to eat. Of course, the kitchen and Home were very well equipped for eating in the house as well as going to the beach and pool although we did not do any of those things. 😂 we are hoping to return again next year. The house couldn’t have been any better! All the ladies were especially pleased with bathroom toiletries that were provided as well as starter trashbags, laundry soap, kitchen articles. Thanks for a fun weekend!

Beautiful

I cannot say enough about this beautiful home. It is perfect for a large family get-away and I will be booking this home again soon! The gated community is lovely, it is located close to everything, HighTide Golf Cart Rentals had our carts delivered picked up at the home and view of the marsh was breathtaking! The pool was clean and perfect as well!
