Welcome to Holland, MI; Home to amazing beaches, wonderful dining & shopping and the largest tulip festival in the USA.

This 2 bed, 1 bath cottage provides all the sights, sounds and smells of the lake. Fully stocked and furnished to make you feel like your lake living; Perfectly suited for couples, families, pets, vacationers & folks just looking to get away.

Lake Mac Views – Across the street
Downtown Holland – 10 min
Downtown Saugatuck – 15 min

At first glance this home defines the vision of a cute lake cottage. This house has the cottage look and feel, but with comfortable living on the inside. The house is tucked along south shore drive which runs along the shoreline of Lake Macatawa, where the road can go no further due to that super large lake called Lake Michigan getting in the way. The neighborhood has a true lake town feel, where you'll see glimpses of the lake, feel the nice lake breezes and hear boats zipping across the lake.

This home has a total of 2 bedrooms and is furnished with 3 queen beds; one bedroom on the main floor (1 queen bed) and one bedroom that is lofted up to the second floor (2 queen beds). FYI, the second floor is accessed by a pretty steep set of stairs so please be aware when booking.

Short Trip to House Hunt near Holland

The property was very clean and close to where our appointments were in Holland and Zeeland. Communication with the host was prompt and the check-in process was easy. The property is small but well-stocked. Since there were only 2 of us, we only used the first floor, so cannot comment on the second floor/loft area. The property was fine for a short stay but there were several things that should be repaired on the property.

The view to the lake is incredible!

We really enjoyed our stay this July. This home is beautiful! We cook and this home has a great kitchen. The view from the house to the lake is incredible! The only thing we found a challenge was getting the AC to keep the space cool on the hotter days. It is the most incredible location and a charming home!!

Perfect for couple and a pet

Perfect size for 2, and a dog. Close to lake and town. Not easy to access either lake by foot, at least in the winter....the other side of Macatawa is nice for that. This location was drafty and cold in the winter.

We enjoy the little house with our dog(s).. Great location and a 10 minutes ish drive to downtown and HOPE college.

The place was clean and great response from owner

We are baffled that VRBO gives it an exceptional rating and will not use VRBO again. Place is small but clean. There is a gap between the bottom of side door and the floor jam, you can actually see outside. A rusty kitchen sink and a facet that was very hard to move from one side to other. Duct tape is holding down the vinyl flooring. Refrigerator does not come up to temperature. The three door dresser in bedroom had only one useable drawer. Mattress needs to be replaced. There were dead bugs in overhead lighting in kitchen.

Excellent location for site seeing

The home was very comfortable and fully stocked for making meals and bringing food in. Beds were very comfortable, and we slept well. The location is great for getting around Holland and a home base for traveling up and down the coast.

Stay at Lofted Cottage

Enjoyed staying at the Lofted Cottage we have stayed before and will stay again. Clean, excellent communication with the host, and a great location. Being able to bring our golden doodle is a plus.

Cute and Comfy

This was a great place to stay for a weekend for our family of four, as well as our small dog. Since it has window AC units, it was comfortable with the fall weather. Our only complaint is that when we arrived there were no blankets or bedspread on the beds, just sheets. After not finding anything in the closets, I contacted the host and they had blankets and comforters delivered to us new from Meijer that night.

Cozy but very small

While the property was clean, the front door didn’t shut all the way and bugs would easily get in. Cooling was not optimal as there was only one wall unit in the kitchen. The bathroom was very very small and the bedrooms were also quite tiny. Small kids or older adults should nbe cautious when staying here as the steps to the loft are very steep and there is no railing. While this house had charm it just isn’t practical for a larger family. Little to no space to eat and cell phone service is spotty.

Girls Trip

My sister and I stayed 3 nights. We loved the cottage. It was very cute and clean. We loved being able to use the walking path right out front and having views of the water and beautiful houses in the neighborhood. Having the Paisley Pig restaurant right down the road was great.

Lofted Cottage

Communication with host was excellent. Cottage was great for us and our golden doodle. Location is perfect. Enjoyed being so close to the Lake and it was easy to get to Holland.

Sweet little cottage

If you are looking for a small old fashion, but modernized beach cottage, this is the place. Our grandson really enjoyed sleeping up in the loft kind of away from the adults and it was a good location. I recommend eating at the purple pig down the street and hiking around Holland was very convenient, nice towels and linens and a great place for a short term vacation. I appreciate it there wasn’t a lot of extra things laying around, so there was plenty of space and there was actually two luggage stands. That’s so nice I would stay here again.

Loved walking the neighborhood

South shore drive runs parallel to Lake Mac with a safe sidewalk. This road is lined with beautiful homes, and provides great views of the lake and sailboats, even freighters passing by. There is a fabulous boat launch nearby we could use for our kayaks. There was also room in the driveway for our little kayak trailer.

Short Beach Trip

Spent four nights at this property. Place was clean and in a nice neighborhood. Hosts were responsive and we had no issues. Would recommend.

Great place to stay!

The cottage was very clean and had everything you would want. I was impressed with the number of little items, like shampoo and conditioner that the owner provided. The living room furniture was very comfortable and so were the beds. Linens were high quality. I would definitely stay there again.

A great place to stay

My wife and I had a great stay at the cottage. Holland is a beautiful town with a lot of things to see and the location of the cottage puts you a short drive away from everything. It was such a bright and welcoming place to wake up in the morning. Would stay again!

Cozy cottage in quiet neighborhood.

Our stay was over a weekend during the Tulip Festival, when the town is busy, but it was an easy drive into town with little traffic until you reached the festival area. House was well stocked and the host was helpful in recommending things to do and see.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay in Holland in this cottage. It is a small place, but perfect for a small family and ideally located in the center of everything. We came off season and still had plenty to do. The cottage was very clean and well-appointed. We were able to cook meals as well as eat out at local breweries and small local restaurants. Great place! Stay here if you can.
