Welcome to Da Destrehan Den!

Upon entering this two level home,
our entertainment room greets you.

We encourage ALL our guests to compete for the highest score on our limited edition Ms Pac Man or play a game of 8 ball pool or ping pong.

A few more steps you access a well equipped kitchen to prepare a meal or your favorite cup of ☕ while you peek into the đŸ‘Ș room where dinner & a movie 🎬 can be shared.

Simply kick off your travel anxiety & relax in one of our color coordinated room's.

Per the thermostat:
Please do NOT tamper with the thermostat per your stay. If you do so, I will ask to CANCEL your stay. Ask for the temperature🌡you desire & it'll be set IF the temperature is uncomfortable for you. The thermostat is automatic per a measuring meter within the home: it measures loud sounds, smoke &🌡 to assist us as a homeowner when the residence is VACANT. The HVAC will be preserved & automatically cool the house on LA đŸ”„ đŸ„” day's. AVOID pipes freezing on LA friget đŸ„¶ day's. If any further instructions are needed please ask to AVOID any misunderstandings. ENJOY YOUR STAY 😊

Great place to stay

So close to New Orleans and other areas. Very affordable accommodations with a clean home and plenty of space. The game table was a big hit after long days out enjoying all that the area has to offer.

Family time

We enjoyed our stay. My husband and brother in law loved the Pac Man game. They played for hours. The house is neat, clean and exactly as described. Our host made everything as easy as possible. We did have one little snag but it was addressed and fixed within a matter of mins. We will def stay again with this host. It's a great location.

My family and, 2 adults and 3 kids- 3 and under, stayed at this location. We had a fantastic time. The property was clean and met all of our needs! We did need to move a few things due to our little kiddos being more handsy but I think that’s more our problem! The property manager was communicative and responsive. Absolutely would stay there again. Neighbors were friendly and distance to touristy type locations was good.

Good home base for a family

This house was a good place to stay for a family wanting to go to New Orleans but not want to be in all the hustle and bustle of the city. It is easy to/from the airport, quiet, and family friendly. We were able to visit our son attending college 30 minutes away in one direction and still enjoy all the tourist attractions of New Orleans in the other direction. Ms. Myi goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Great little house

Or house Mri was very helpful and communicated very well. The house was very cozy and had everything me and my daughter needed for a great vacation. I would stay here anytime we came back.

It was so nice. every roomm was comfortable and beautifully decorated. Kids would have enjoyed the play room. Kitchen had all the things needed to cook a large dinner. Easy to find o, easy access, great communication

Sufficient

This property served our purpose. It was clean however, when we arrived it smelled like skunk weed, after using air freshener it was fine. I thought on the listing it showed two full bathrooms, but it was only 1 and 1/2 bathrooms. The backdoor was hard to open and the lock on the front door was not a secure lock. The kitchen was nice, fully stocked with supplies. The question is would I stay here again -- probably.

All you need is your clothes!

When I tell you all you need is your clothes I mean that. My husband and I travel a lot for work. Myi had everything we needed and more. From snacks just in case we got in late, to robs, slippers, and toletries.

We enjoyed our visit. I really only have 1 complaint. I was told I would be given a military discount and that was never done. It's ok for you not to offer a military discount but if you say you do, you should!! Everything else about our stay was good.
