Du kommer att bli glad nÀr du först ser den fantastiska panoramautsikten över Acadia National Park och dess berg frÄn vÄrt dÀck. Se till att du stÄr upp i tid för soluppgÄng eftersom du kan se det komma upp över Cadillac Mountain.

Du kan se vilda djur utan att ens lÀmna stolen. Du kan se örnar, sÀlar, delfiner, rÄdjur och Àlgar. Du kan till och med ta vÄra kajaker över bukten för att se tÀtningar pÄ nÀra hÄll och personliga. Vattnet nÀra stugan myllar ocksÄ av musslor.

Barn (i alla Äldrar) Àlskar överflödet av platta stenar lÀngs strandlinjen som Àr perfekta för att hoppa över och det specialbyggda bordtennisbordet i garaget.

Wonderful cottage ..well equiped...plenty of space ..multiple bathrooms..very clean ..perfect location..deck is incredible ..location is close to groceries (10 miles) ..restaurants (4 miles)..close to national park and many hiking or walking trails...great communication with all involved with renting this great cottage

Perfect Maine vacation home

Beautiful views and wonderful house

This was a wonderful stay! Being right on the water was awesome and the sunrises were beautiful. The kitchen was well-stocked and there was tons of storage space. We were close to Acadia and Bar Harbor and loved our visit.

Awesome view!

Beautiful location with a view of the harbor. It was cold when we were there but could enjoy the view on a clear day. If it had been warmer, we would've enjoyed using the kayaks right off the property. Home had everything we needed. If staying in the off season, check restaurants since many were closed.

Bar Harbor View is still my "Happy Place"

We are always happy to arrive at Bar Harbor View. The new bathroom was beautiful. The weather was great. We are already booked for next year. Friends from Ellsworth visited and brought us dinner. Always the best of times.

Consistent family fun

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this house and it is always a great time. The water front is amazing and we have a great time getting to all the outdoor places to go. We will be back in the years to come.

Beautiful property with breathtaking views

The property was a perfect place for an extended family vacation to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The house was full of all the amenities we needed! The view from the back deck was breathtaking and the house felt secluded. We enjoyed use of the kayaks and even saw a bald eagle a couple of times. We enjoyed the house immensely. Thanks for a great time!

Bar Harbor Stay

Property overall was nice. Would have been nicer if closer to Bar Harbor but, overall the stay was good. Had a special guess (handyman) show up on Thursday without notice to measure for baby gate in the kitchen. This made everyone feel uncomfortable.

Perfect location

If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet and scenic spot , this is it. The pictures, while impressive, do not do the view justice. The house has everything you could need and is very comfortable. It’s a bit of a throwback to cottage living years ago but it is very well kept. Bar Harbor and Acadia are 30 minutes away and the Lobster Pounds are only 15 minutes away.

Magical

A Christmas Blessing. We spent our holiday by the Ocean and you can’t get any closer than this beautiful home. It is spacious yet cozy. We live in Northern Maine near the Canadian border, so being in Trenton we were able to be near family and had a wonderful Christmas dinner together. This home is stocked extremely well. We will return for sure. Loved it. Precious memories.

Spring with a view of Acadia

This was our second visit to Bar Harbor View Cottage. The first was highlighted by kayaking, hiking and hunting for sea glass on the beach directly in front of the property. This visit was much cooler with threats of rain and snow. Despite the weather we hiked, walked the carriage roads and prepared all our meals at home. I just love the awesome Weber grill. The view of Acadia is second to none. We will return.

Beyond expectations

This was the best place that we have ever stayed. We travel a lot. We did not want to leave. The quietness, water, weather, mountains in the distance was wonderful and relaxing. The house was well stocked. We grilled, played ping pong, kayaked and read books. Kitchen is great. Filtered water. Ducks, birds, shells, rocks and so on. Sunrises were majical. Close to Acadia.

Our Happy Place

We have been renting this property for 15 years now. We have rented many other places in this area since the early 90's. Bar Harbor View is the best of all the places we have stayed. Proximity to Acadia, Bar Harbor and Ellsworth while being very private provides everything we enjoy. In 1975 we camped at Barcadia with our 3 children so know and love the area. A porcupine hung around the upper driveway for a few days. As we drove out leaving on Saturday the 17th, we stopped for 5 deer and 20 turkeys crossing the driveway. Grandson Evan and his girl fished from their kayaks and caught mackeral. They were visited by seals and dolphins. On our second day view from the deck we watched a bald eagle catch fish with a golden eagle sitting on nearby rocks. Kudos to the keepers.. the place was spotless when we arrived. Thank you Rick and Shelby for making this place available to rent.

The property suited our needs and checked our boxes for waterfront and easy access to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We enjoyed the kayaks, and appreciated the life jackets in many sizes so we could all participate. Also, the house had a convenient supply of beach shoes (the rocky shore isn't barefoot friendly...). The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, small appliances, and cooking tools. We had a blast!

Perfect location for everything we wanted to do! We loved the solitude and the gorgeous deck. We had the beach all to ourselves - the water was calm most mornings, perfect for kayaking with the seals. The interior furnishings are a quirky, eclectic mix of pieces. The living room and other common room couches are in need of replacement - they are not comfortable - but the views of the water made up for that inconvenience.

This was absolutely perfect for our family. The location was wonderful for everything we planned to do. The house was furnished with anything we had need for. Beautiful, peaceful home on the water

My family (two adults, two children) stayed at Rick and Shelby's wonderful home for a week in August. The property is so peaceful, located right on the water. The highlight of our trip included watching the sunrise on the gorgeous deck every morning with our kids. It felt like we were the only people in Maine! The property is well located a short 15-20 minute drive from Acadia. Some of the appliances are older, but everything is well maintained, and we had no issues during our stay. The property manager was very responsive as well. Highly recommend staying here and would not hesitate to book another week in the future!

We loved the views

Amazing views of Mt Desert Island and the Narrows. We really enjoyed the views off the deck, exploring the delightfully rocky beach, and watching seals feed in the water. The house is stocked with everything you need - way better than the average vacation home. Plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. We were very sad to leave such a peaceful, pleasant place. Delightful experience and grateful to have stayed here.

Had an awesome time! House was well stocked, enjoyed the mix of modern style and old cabin feel. Seals out everyday, kids had fun exploring in the rocks and tide pools and kayaking. Visited many spots in Acadia but nice to be at a very quiet place to get out of the Bar Harbor “rush.” New 3rd bathroom was a great surprise. Will be back someday!

Great Maine Getaway

We had a great time during our stay at this property. The views are amazing and it was close enough for our day trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. We also loved the use of the kayaks.

The 180 degree views from our home are absolutely gorgeous and watching sunrise over Cadillac Mountain from the deck is breathtaking. One visitor said 'I always like to go to the beach on vacation, but this is a whole different level of relaxation.'
