Detta charmiga, rena och rökfria interiör i äldre hem renoverades 2014. Beläget på en lugn sidogata i ett familjeområde i centrala Bar Harbor med parkering utanför gatan. Den har en öppen planlösning och hårda trägolv i hela. Alla nya apparater. Det finns 2 sovrum - 1 med en drottning, - 1 med en tvilling och dra ut trille, plus en drottning bäddsoffa i vardagsrummet. En port-a-crib är tillgänglig.
Väggarna är hängda med originalmålningar av Mount Desert Island och Acadia National Park. Full tvätt, wi-fi, kabel-tv och en trevlig trädgård slutför paketet. Medan lägenheten rymmer 6, passar detta hem idealt för en familj - 2 föräldrar och små barn, eller 3 eller 4 vuxna. Rullbädden får inte användas av någon som väger mer än 125 kg.
Vi är belägna i den sydöstra delen av staden, och några kvarter till The Village Green, och busstationen Island Explorer (går från juni till oktober), Mount Desert Island Hospital, Abbe Museum, Jesup Memorial Library, St. Frälsarens kyrka och dess Tiffany glasmålningar, Reel Pizza och alla butiker och restauranger. Town Pier, Agamont Park, Albert Meadow, YMCA, Compass Harbour, Jackson Lab och den majestätiska utsikten över Porcupine Islands och the Historic Shore Path ligger alla inom en kort promenad.
Vi är också inom gångavstånd till Village Connector spår i Acadia. Compass Harbour och ruinerna av George Dorrs familjehem ligger bara några kvarter söderut. Schooner Head Path är åtkomst från Compass Harbour Trail. Great Meadow Loop nås av Cromwell Harbour Road, strax norr om bollfälten. Den ansluter till Jesup Path, Dorr Mountain, Homans Path, The Great Meadow Trail, Kebo Connector Trails och mycket mer.
För vinter besökare - Acadia National Park är ett vinterunderland! Vandring (stegjärn ett måste), XC Skidåkning på preparerade spår i parken, snöskor, skridskoåkning, isfiske och pulka är allt i blandningen. Vinternattskier är hypnotiserande. Vi har de mörkaste himlen öster om Mississippi. Om du är intresserad av astronomi och stjärnskådning - ANP är din plats! MDI & ANP är uppskattade på vintern! Great location

The apartment is in a great location, with parking on site, and it had a lot of character. We generally enjoyed our stay, but the very detailed instructions we received before we arrived made us a little nervous, making it hard to fully relax. The bedrooms were much smaller than we were expecting - as there was just two of us, we managed OK, but it would have been difficult with any more people. Also, a small point, we are always willing to be helpful, but we did consider it a bit of an imposition to ask us to change the (out of date) battery in the smoke alarm (the host did provide the battery).

Nice off season stay

It was very relaxing with all the amenities for a wonderful stay in Bar Harbor. Close to the town center but quiet and nice neighborhood. Will definitely look to stay here again.

Lovely

Susan was very helpful and communicated well! We absolutely loved the sweet cottage apartment and the location in Bar Harbor. Whether walking the shore path, heading to explore Bar Island at low tide, or taking advantage of pajama day sales—proximity to downtown couldn’t be beat! Also a fabulous launching point to Acadia where we enjoyed showing our four year old our favorite sights!

Perfect Home Base

This comfortable apartment on a quiet side street yet near all the action of central Bar Harbor is fully equipped and served as the perfect home base for my trip. The owner was delightful and was quick to respond to my few questions. I couldn't be happier with my stay there.

Great Experience

We recently stayed at this property and had an overall pleasant experience. The home is in a great location, close to Acadia National Park and is well-appointed with comfortable furnishings and everything we needed for our stay. The space was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The photos do not do the property justice. While the host was very responsive and friendly, they have a lengthy list of cleaning/check-out responsibilities that created high expectations and made the post-stay interaction a bit stressful. Overall, a great place to stay, but be sure you allot time to do some extra cleaning before your departure.

Excellent base for Acadia

Susan’s place was comfortable, clean and convenient to Acadia and just steps to Bar Harbor’s Main Street. Walkable to shops, restaurants and a grocery store and just 15-20 minutes to Acadia entrance. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for a preparing few meals after long days of exploring. Highly recommend this classic home.

Great place to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia

Everything was great about the place. Super charming and clean. Some of the furniture was a bit worn but functional. Close enough to walk into town but far enough to avoid noise and crowds. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful Stay in Bar Harbor!

Property was perfectly located yet on a quiet street. We could walk to everything in town and Acadia was a less than 10 minute drive. The house was very clean and had everything you needed. We loved the updated full kitchen and laundry (new washer and dryer!). Susan was a wonderful host. We were sad to leave but will be back!

Perfect Stay

We had a truly wonderful stay. Everything about the house was exactly as described and perfect for my husband and I and our 4 month old baby. There was even a pack n’ play with bassinet and an infant toddler bath tub. The location could not be beat, easily walked to everything in town and a short drive to Acadia. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect spot in downtown Bar Harbor

My husband, 14 year old son, and I stayed here on a recent trip to Bar Harbor. We loved being able to walk to restaurants and the downtown area. The unit itself was perfect for a family our size. There's a washer/dryer, which was a huge bonus. The owner was very easy to communicate with. I'd definitely stay here again!

Great experience

We had a great time at Susan's lovely house! The location is superb, we were within walking distance of any restaurant and point of interest in Bar Harbor. It's also a short drive to the Acadia park where we spent most of our time. The house is very comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. Would absolutely come back!

Location and charm!!

The property was cozy, clean and just as described :) However, the kitchen was totally undersold - recently upgraded and perfectly appointed! Lovely!! We could not have asked for a better location. Having a parking spot made a world of difference.Susan was easy and quick to communicate with. In short - just book it.

Bar Harbor Peace

We loved the 1st apartment. It was peaceful and homey. It was just steps from Main Street where there were so many restaurants, shops, history and beautiful views. It was also a short drive from Acadia where we hiked and biked. Great spot for a lovely vacation. We are looking forward to visiting again.
