Nestled on a beautiful, wooded hillside overlooking the Shenandoah Valley, is the getaway cabin youâve been looking for. Take in the sunsets over the Shenandoah Valley from the beautiful deck or from the cozy sunroom. This cabin has everything you need to rest, relax, and reconnect with family. Itâs perfect for couples, small families, or individual work trips.
Connect with nature as many deer and other wild life often wonder right up to the front door. If you love history, antiques, and excellent local restaurants, the cabin is a quick twenty minute drive to historic Harpers Ferry. Do you prefer the excitement of thundering hooves and cheering crowds? Charles Town Races are a quick 20 minutes as well. Is hiking, biking, rafting, and tubing up your alley? With the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers converging, the Appalachian trail crossing, and 4000 acres of the Shenandoah national park, you could enjoy a different adventure every day of the week.
This mountain top getaway also sits just up the road from Mountain Lake Club, where you will find live music, good food, beach lake access, and plenty of summer fun!

MOUNTAIN ROADS: In the event of snow, 4 wheel drive may be necessary. The roads up to this cabin are steep and narrow at times.
Steep mountain roads are often what it takes to get incredible views like the ones from this cabin, and those who love adventure won't be disappointed!

-Must be at least 20 years old to book.
-This property has security cameras on the door to help facilitate check in and security.
Pet Policy
1)We will only accept dogs.
2)No Dogs under the age of 2.
3) Maximum of 2 dogs per stay.
4)Dogs must be kept on a leash at all time when outside. This is the law in Jefferson County.
5)Please keep pets off upholstered furniture.
6)Please crate your dogs if they are left in the house alone for more than 30 minutes.
7) Maximum of 8 day stay with pets.
8)An additional non-refundable $40 pet fee will be charged at check out.

My husband Travis and I opened this cabin in March of 2023. In 2005, we got engaged at the top of Maryland Heights, right over in Harper's Ferry. Sixteen years later, we returned and found this beautiful cabin in the woods.

After a drive up the beautiful mountain road, you will find The Cabin at Alta Vista nestled in a small cute little mountain community. The neighborhood is quiet, very little traffic or noise.
From the moment we laid eyes on it, we dreamed of all the memories that would be created here. So we worked hard for over a year to create this space. It is great for family getaways, romantic nights away, or a just a chance to spend some time in solitude. We hope you will come visit this beautiful space.

The space is quiet and simply decorated while having all the necessary amenties, as well as some bonuses, like luxury robes and heated floors. The property has an incredible amount of rocks landscaping the property, great for climbing or just a fun place to sit and take in the views. We also have frequent visits from wild life! Guest enjoy watching from the big windows in our sunroom.
