Waterfront hem med en spektakulär utsikt över en 1 + tunnland mycket med en stor, välskötta gräsmatta och en privat fot docka till en av Rhode Island berömda salt dammar. Ponder, som vi ömt kallar det, har en underbar slutna veranda med utsikt över Winnapaug Pond med expansiva havsutsikt. Dammen erbjuder en unik plats för kajakpaddling, segling, simning, fågelskådning och fiske, med strid sätt tillgång till Block Island Sound.

Beläget inom några minuter från Misquamicut och Watch Hill stränder (sanddyner övergå till Misquamicut State stränder ingår i hyra för alla högsäsong veckor), med enkel tillgång till Foxwoods och Mohegan Sun kasinon, Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, och fantastiska middagar i Westerly , Watch Hill, Stonington, Mystic, och på andra håll. Bara 35 minuter till Newport.

Det finns en offentlig golfbana, kan Winnapaug Golf Club, som ligger inom gångavstånd, och flera offentliga tennisbanor finns i området.

Blissful

Large well equipped home with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The location on the pond was calm and restful with lots of bird activity. Near beaches, good shopping and a variety of good restaurants. Our third stay! Hope to come back.

Inside nice. Outside needs work

Dock is not safe to stand on, dive off of, or fish from. Trees and bushes need trimming, house needs paint. Lots of mosquitos

Perfect spot

It was the perfect spot for our vacation get away. It is close to beaches and grocery stores. The house provided everything needed and comfortable sleeping quarters. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Oasis

Ideal spot bordering a quiet pond. Two miles from beaches. Property had two levels with a kitchen on each level. Lots of privacy offered by this configuration.

Quiet Retreat

This property was just what we needed to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the wedding activities we were involved in. The quiet pond, watching all the various birds, whether on the lawn or indoors, was such a respite. The house had all the modern amenities while also keeping the charm of this 1925 circa home. Our host was very accommodating with our needs, we'd stay again, thank you.

A charming Gem

We so enjoyed our stay at this family cottage on the water. We were 3 couples in the area for the Rhythm and Roots Festival. It was a convenient 13 minutes away. I feel like we were staying in my grandmother's summer home! bathrooms were updated and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could imagine. If we go again next year we hope to rent this cottage again. Thank you Fred!

This is a wonderful old Weekapaug house. Roomy, nothing fancy, lovely view and owner leaves the house totally stocked from him using it a lot. Will be back next year.

Great family vacation spot

My husband, 8 yo son, and I had a great stay. The pass to Dunes Beach was an amazing bonus. Comfortable beds. Love the enclosed porch for relaxing with a magazine and enjoying the view of the pond. Older property, but very clean.

Bring a boat for Quahogs galore.

Our family had an excellent time at this property. As a heads up the bay the house is on is relatively deep so you'll need to bring a canoe or kayak if you intend to do some shell fishing, wading out is not really an option. Once out on the water we quickly found some of the most fruitful shell fishing I've ever experienced around the nearby islands. The clamming and sunset canoe cruises we took will definitely be some of my fondest memories of the year. The view from the house is great as it looks, on a clear day you can see the wind turbines on block island 20 miles away. The main TV having a gamecube with 4 functioning wavebird controllers was also a treat, nothing like relaxing with a game of Mario party with the kids after a long beach day. All in all we had a great week and we hope we can do it again next year.

A place to go back to

Really enjoyed the house and the view. Plenty of room and peace. Overall felt very comfortable. Bed was comfy. There were a couple of - things i.e. It would have been helpful to have dishwasher detergent, adult soap in bathroom not kid stuff, the light was out in upstairs shower and TV upstairs if it worked I couldn't figure it out but otherwise everything was terrific. Would love to go back.

Great Place on the Beach

Family Vacation

The property was as described in the listing. A great location for what we wanted close to Winnapaug golf course (less than 2 minutes). And close to all the beaches as well. Plenty to do in Westerly even on a ran day whether that’s shopping in Watch Hill or bowling at Ally Katz in downtown.

We really enjoyed this property for our family. It had everything you could possibly need for an awesome beach trip, including beach gear and linens. The location was perfect - close to watch hill and to the westerly beaches.

Beautiful private setting on Winnapaug pond

I needed to get away for the weekend and I stayed at this adorable, serene, and very private location in Westerly, on a beautiful pond, with a five-minute drive to the ocean. The home is on large lot surrounded by huge gorgeous maples that provided the perfect seclusuion. I found great comfort in the vintage countertops and cupboards with the old-fashion metal handles as it brought me back to my childhood. Lots of other upgrades added. Beds were clean and super-comfortable. Lots of room to spread out and just relax. Very responsive communication from the owners and their wonderful cleaning crew! I look forward to coming back again.

Ponder is a jointly owned family home .We all treasure the time that we can spend at Ponder. We have all had wonderful times here, celebrating weddings and birthdays, and just enjoying time with family and friends. Many of us have fond memories of getting our first gold ring on the Watch Hill carousel, or attending concerts and fireworks in the Westerly park. And we all have spent many hours relaxing on the many beautiful sandy beaches available in the area.

Some of us were raised in Westerly and have known the area and all it has to offer for our entire lifetimes. Others have come to know it more recently. We all agree that it offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and quiet, as well as lots of activities and things to do for people of all ages.

In addition to an amazing location, this house is very comfortable and offers all of the conveniences of home. You can spend your time relaxing and reading on the sun porch, enjoying a cup of coffee on the back steps overlooking the water, or taking advantage of all of the activities that its waterfront location allows. The large grounds provide plenty of space for children to run around and play. The well-equipped kitchen allows you to easily cook and eat in, if you wish. The pass to the Dunes Beach, which comes with the weekly rental, makes it easy for you to park right at the beach.
