Punana Aloha, som betyder "Love Nest" på Hawaiian, är en ett-sovrum, en-bad gömställe på den ojämförliga Anini Beach. Great place on Anini beach

The place was great. Quiet and had everything I needed for some alone time. Just a short walk from the beach. Centrally located for my needs with groceries and restaurants close by. I would easily stay here again.

Island Old Hawaiian retreat

This was exactly what we were lookimg for: secluded, dark, ,away from crowds, ocean front. Cottage had all we needed to cook, relax and explore.

Our Stay at Anini Beach

We had a great time. We were able to seethe ocean thru the living room window and it was about a 3 minute walk to the beach. Snorkeling in the cove we saw a variety of fish and a sea turtle. Bit of a bumpy unpaved road the last 1/4 mile to the driveway entrance

Fantastic cozy home

This house was a perfect place to chill, or spend time on the beach across the road, and a fabulous base of operations for our island adventures! Previous guests have left a lovely assortment of spices and condiments, and we contributed so check the fridge before you buy salad dressing or mayo. The local farmers markets are a great way to stock up on fresh produce. Make sure you snorkel down at the park, there are tons of turtles there!

An absolute dream!

This location could not be more perfect! Suzi was so helpful and responsive throughout our stay. Although, we didn’t really need to communicate much because everything was so terrific. The islands experienced a pretty big storm that caused power outages, but the house was equipped with flashlights and Suzi checked up on us to make sure we were OK. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. The beach is glorious. This was a perfect couples getaway with very few people, which made it easy to disconnect and fully enjoy our vacation! We will most certainly be staying again!

Great place to stay on the beach. Great snorkeling in the Summer. The wooden interior and Hawaiian decor are very homey and comfortable. We would stay here again and suggest it to anyone who enjoys spending their time on the beach.

If you are thinking about booking this place, do it. The pictures do not do this amazing property justice. Beach views, best snorkeling, No service. It’s literally heaven on earth! . This will be a repeat property for us! Mahalo!!

From the amazing view from the porch, the quick walk to the beach this place is just amazing. Such a lovely and inviting space to stay. The owner is just a delight and was among the best I have ever encountered in my years of renting. Don’t hesitate just book it.

Perfect place in paradise

This house and its location are amazing. It is perfect for a couple’s retreat with everything we needed for a stay in paradise. Communication with the hosts was fast and flawless, and instructions and access were simple. The house comes with towels, beach chairs, beach mats, coolers, and a kitchen with new appliances. We appreciated the hose for rinsing our stuff, too.we could not have had a better spot to call home for 10 days. The house is not fancy - it has an old Hawaii feel - so if you’re looking for a super modern condo experience with AC and a hot tub (did not appeal to us in this climate lol) this might not be the place for you. Also be aware that as of now the last stretch of road before the driveway is extremely rutted - we really put our poor little rental car to the test. If you arrive in the dark or during/after rain, drive REALLY CAREFULLY & SLOWLY - no joke. But we figured it out!We are so grateful for our time in Kauai and that we got to spend it staying in this special place.

Beautiful location

We had an amazing stay. Suzi was so responsive and helped us with things to do to make our trip complete. The house was very clean in a great location. Less than a minute you are on a beautiful secluded beach. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect, Private Getaway

Magical place

We had the most magical amazing time at Anini beach! The cottage was perfect for my husband and I and we loved the location. Lots of walks and beach time. We saw turtles sunning on our beach and snorkeling was amazing. Suzi was an amazing host and very responsive to all our needs. We will be back again!

Best place ever!

The house had everything we needed and more. It was clean, nicely decorated, just what I pictured a Hawaiian home would look like. Checking in and out was seamless. Having an ocean in front of you and a forest behind you is priceless. My husband and I came to Hawaii to celebrate our 30th anniversary. This house was perfect for that. We hope to come back. Heaven on earth

I've been coming to Kaua'i for 30 years. I used to hitchhike my way around the sleepy island, and getting down to Wanini was always a challenge but worth the trip... Truly sacred land, and to be staying directly across from where I proposed to my wife last year was particularly serendipitous. The furnishings and provisions were dated and scant, but the stay was comfortable and whatever it may seem lacking on the inside, the view and location are simply stunning. PLEASE don't come if you don't respect and appreciate the history and culture of this place. It is truly special and deserves REVERENCE. Maholo nui loa for the stay, and God willing... A hui hou.

Nakea Kauai Vacation rentals offers three properties for rent, a one bedroom ocean bluff condo at Sealodge in Princeville (Kai Nani), a three bedroom beachfront home (Hale Kai) and a one bedroom beachfront cottage (Punana Aloha). The latter two are both located at the secluded end of incredible Anini Beach. All three properties are owned and lovingly cared for by Bob Nakea and his daughter Suzi. Bob and Suzi are native Hawaiians whose family's roots on Kauai go back to the 1800's. The protecting reef (one of the largest in Hawaii) assures that the waves break far out and not on the shore, and the calm shoreline and shallow waters make the area in front of the house ideal for swimming and snorkeling most of the year (except during periods of high winter surf).
