We wanted to be in Waldo and this was the perfect location for us. The house is very comfortable and spacious inside; great wifi, nice bathrooms and kitchen, exactly as pictured on VRBO. John was a nice and very responsive host. This will certainly be our first choice the next time we return to KC.

Well appointed kitchen. Nice beds - very comfy! Good location with a great walking trail and KC Bier CO and family close by. We loved being able to bring our dog with us. We had problems with the code to enter the home. It took calling VRBO staff to contact the owner and get us in. However, he did give us a small rebate for our troubles and we appreciated that. The outdoor area was disappointing and with a little TLC it could have been great. Yard was not as well taken care of as we have come to expect on our travels. Yard needed mowing, Backyard had a broken chair in it and grass was growing between the steps and over the fire pit. Furniture was rough and really needed refinishing or replacing. But the small yard did have sufficient fencing for my pup to wonder about and that was really great. Fixing these small things would definitely made a difference in my review.

Weekend Stay at Crown House

Great Place!

This place is great! It has everything you need for a short stay or a long stay. Highly recommend! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in KC. The owner was very attentive, communicating clearly and quickly, and was very friendly.

Great Location

The location of this cute little bungalow can't be beat. We were close to so much and it was a great way to see the city. It was so easy to get around. Also, there is a walking trail right next door which is incredible for morning walks.

Great Host

Nice and cozy house. Plenty of room for 4-6 people to stay. Good location. Nice to not have to provide toilet paper, trash bags, etc. The host was awesome! Easy to work with and very helpful.

Very Enjoyable Stay

Very cute, clean, comfortable place. Easy to get to and close to everywhere we wanted to go. John was very quick to answer all the questions I had. We hope to be able to come and stay again, but stay longer next time. So much more of the city to explore!

Sweet little house in South Kansas City

This property was a gem of a find in the Waldo neighborhood. Nicely renovated small old home in an established neighborhood close to lots to do in Kansas City. Owners were a pleasure to work with communicated with us quickly and kindly. Would recommend this property.

Fun and exciting

I love the crown house, when booking this property I was very excited and didn’t even know they had tiaras around the house you could wear. Was such a fun experience, everything was well cleaned and organized well, the communication with the host was really simple and easy. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend.

Family vacation in KC

The host was very responsive. Lovely home with 2 bathrooms. Loved the laundry and kitchen large enough for meals and cooking. My teens took walks and went on runs in the trail. Enjoyed the local thrift shops. And proximity to since fast food and bbq.

My trip

We enjoyed being at the house. It was plenty of room. The only thing it was a huge spider and a huge cricket in the master bedroom. But other than that we had a good time staying there.

Adorable, very accommodating

Great place to stay while visiting Kansas City. Located in a cute safe neighborhood. Close to many eateries and evening entertainment. Adorable little house, clean. Nice to have keurig and oatmeal first morning. It was the perfect place for me, my 3 adult children and daughter in law. John kept me well informed and checked on us thru Vrbo often. If we ever come back to KC we would definitely stay here again. Thanks John!

Comfy, clean, and convenient

The Crown House was lovely—very clean and comfortable, with plenty of room to stretch out. The location—right next to the converted trolley trail, and in a safe and fun neighborhood—was great. Restaurants, great coffee shop, and bars/breweries in walking distance, grocery store nearby, and an easy drive to other parts of town. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, and other kitchen essentials to cook at home. And John was a great communicator and very helpful. Easily one of the most comfortable stays I've had in a VRBO rental.

Clean & Quiet

We only spent one night at this house and were not there very much. Clean and cute. He allowed for us to early check in because we had an event to go to, and we appreciated that. Great communication. My only complaint was my bed was not very comfortable & felt uneven.

We love this home because it is right next to the Trolley Trail and walking distance to many of our favorite restaurants and attractions. Whether it is going to Betty Rae's for ice cream or getting a bite to eat at Boru Boru, there is plenty to do around Crown House KC.
In 2019 we renovated the home and we put blood, sweat and tears into it. We updated everything and reconfigured the space to be open, inviting and comfortable.
