The entire experience was great. The location was perfect and close to free public transportation to the downtown areas. The Carriage House was impeccable and made us feel at home and secure each day. It was a great experience.

Excellent place to stay! Property owner left champagne in the fridge for our anniversary. Very impressive, historical neighborhood, full of history. The carriage house was very comfortable and elegant. We definitely will stay here again!

The Carriage House is just lovely! It is located in a quiet, yet posh, little neighborhood in KC that is very close to pretty much anything you could want or need. This Vrbo was one of the most well appointed places we have ever stayed at with plenty of linens, easy/convenient parking and a walkable neighborhood. We walked to a local coffee shop and everything else we did was within 5-10 minutes of the location. There is one set of stairs to carry your belongings up. This charming place receives high marks from me. The host was extremely communicative and I highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Kansas City.

Absolutely stellar property. The neighborhood itself is beautiful and a treat for fans of history and architecture. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. It's obvious a lot of love went into the home and its finishes. The neighborhood was very quiet and felt safe, despite being in the city. I enjoyed walking to the local coffee shop in the morning. I would definitely stay again.

Over the years I have rented, thru VRBO/Homeaway, over 20 properties. The Carriage House has been one of my favorites. The character and charm of the place extended into the immediate area and all of Hyde Park. We spent part of a day just driving the Neiborhood's looking at the homes and building architectures.The carriage house has been meticulously updated and furnished to match the early 1900s when it was first built. The hosts, Barbara and Steve were great. Five stars to them for the quick responses to questions and suggestions on local places to eat. You'll find a book on their neighborhood, co-authored by Steve, in the carriage house. It was a great reference on the history of the 19 homes in their subdivision - Janssen Place. This was my first trip to KC and would/will definitely stay here on future trips. Thanks Barbara and Steve!

Loved the Carriage House

We enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House, as it was in quiet and beautiful neighborhood. The property was comfortable and welll-equipped and we had everything we could possible need to make our Kansas City trip a success. We loved the historic feel of the place, and also learning more details about historic preservation in the neighborhood. Barbara and Stephen were great hosts, and we appreciate their hospitality. Loved it and would return!
