Very nice!

Just as advertised! Lots of space, comfortable, cute. Kitchen well stocked. Great location, private boardwalk to beach for the block residents, several nice outdoor seating areas on the property so you can spread out. Bring your own beach chairs and toys, etc. Pool with fenced in yard was lovely.

Nice place close to Sandfest

Spacious and comfortable home. Walking distance to beach (and Sandfest entrance). Nice outdoor space. Our only issue was that the floors were not cleaned well. The pool is smaller than it seems in the pictures, but its perfect for kids to jump around in and to just relax and cool off.

Great stay

Only issue is the pots and pans are very old. Not good for cooking. We bought a new frying pan just to cook. Otherwise a great family vacation and house.

Great house close to the beach with a pool, pet friendly

This is a wonderful property. It is walking distance to the beach by street or boardwalk. It is renovated with no carpet, new appliances, comfortable beds, good A/C and ceiling fans. One bathroom has a 2 person shower with 2 heads and a sitting bench. The other is a standard bathroom. One king bedroom, a queen bedroom and a 4 bunk room. TV in every room but we couldnt get some of them to provide channels. The pool is small and refreshing, small fenced yard area for the dogs at the pool. A covered balcony on the front that catches the breeze off the gulf.

Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was very clean, and everyone loved the pool. The beach is only a block around one corner and a convienece store around the other, that was nice. Plenty of parking, but good we didn't bring the boat. Really wish a golf cart came with was 150/day to rent...but worth every penny!! The only suggestion would be, in order to keep the home cleaner it would've been nice to have basic house cleaning supplies (soap/dish towels), and a vacuum for pool would have been nice. The garbage disposal, vacuuum cleaner and the dryer were all not working properly...but grandpa enjoyed fixing them. :)

Spacious, clean, breathtaking when you first enter! Grass needed cutting so mosquitos worse. Called it in Sept. 16, was told their lawn service was not available. The pool was just the right size for the 5 of us. No shade available. Be sure to bring umbrellas. The kart was jarringly in need of service; wish we could have had a 6 seater. The dishes didn't feel clean; had to rewash pots and pans. The ice maker was still not working after other guests mentioned it in their reviews weeks ago. There is a major safety hazard as you enter the pool area with a step up on the left. Not marked or painted. Four of the 5 of us tripped on it, but my husband tripped and fell hard onto his chest, spraining his wrist, requiring urgent care, x-rays, and meds., and having to take 2 days off work! Hopefully they will fix it before the next guest gets really hurt!

Good, not great...

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay in Port Aransas and the house itself is great. There are some things that could be better at the price point. When we arrived the master bath toilet was stopped up. Maintenance was quick to respond and we thought they had the problem fixed. The problem however was not fixed and we dealt with it for another day. We had trouble getting the master bath shower to work. Lets say this, pull the handle out to turn the water on. Even the maintenance guy had trouble figuring it out. 50/50 issue there, I'll own some of it for being stupid. Quite a bit of traffic on the road next to the house, so it was loud. The house isn't well insulated so lots of noise gets through. We had the neighbors talking until 2AM. You could hear everything they were saying. As stated, its a nice house and everything appears to be new. We would try another property next time. Oh and don't bother with the golf cart, its junk. Pay more and rent a good one. There are plenty available.

outstanding place to vacation, a short distance to the Beach and downtown. the house was comfortable, and the pool was great. everything in the house was easy to use. We plan on using silver sands in the future for vacationing I really enjoy the quality of their proprieties.

Great House

House was great - the beds were even comfortable! (Rare for an AirBNB house!) We were bummed we had bad weather the whole weekend, so didn't get to use the pool much. The area downstairs was great - we do wish there were lights so hanging out at night wasn't in total darkness but it was still a great time. The pool area was nice to hang out in for the little bit of time we could.

Shamrock by the sea review

We had an issue with ants throughout the kitchen area and living room couch. Also not enough shower towels. The gated area of the yard has a lot of stickers. So we had to make sure kids stayed out of the grass areas. Other than that the house was comfortable, roomy, and we enjoyed our stay.

Disappointed

I read recent reviews about issues at this house which prompted me to email Silver Sands before we went. I was told all issues were handled. However, sadly, this was NOT true. Our food was ruined by ants throughout the kitchen. When asking several times, someone came by and dropped off a can of bug spray. The golf cart was not drivable. The brakes and steering was non functioning. The stickers in the grass and the concrete was awful for our grandkids as was for all the adults. I took pictures, emailed and texted at least 6 times. They always responded, but never rectified any of the issues. It wasn’t until the last email I sent telling them a refund would be appreciated, they stopped responding. What a shame. Family vacation was a bust. Wether or not you ask them if these issues were resolved, they won’t tell you the truth.

Ants

This house has a HUGE ant problem in the kitchen! We notified the Maintenace people of the issue, but no one addressed it. I ordered groceries from HEB and paid 19.95 for delivery and had to trash most of it because of the ant issue. We felt put items in refrigerator for help, but the ants got to it. We also lift out lawn chairs because after rinsing them off for sand we lift them outside to dry off. Well ants covered them as well. The ice machine was also not working and the second Maintenace guy did bring us some ice which was helpful. The garbage disposal clogged up and we found food in the freezer. I hope to be reimbursed for some of the items we had to trash or leave behind. Now the GOOD points...pool was great along with the golf cart. It was awesome having these things and close the beach was wonderful. The house is beautiful and very spacious where we didn't feel on top of each other. We are a blended Family, so we have a few kids and need room. My daughter and I enjoyed sitting outside on the front balcony and looking at people drive by and wave..lol. I hope to receive a response from ya'll. Thank You, Angelica

Bad vacation

From the first day I got there it started bad golf cart did not work wasted a night and half a day till I got another and even that one was bad steering wheel upside down gas guage did not work golf cart was wondering all over road than the ants started to come out in the whole house my pets were itching as I was myself to find out there was also fleas just a bad experience all the way around

Overall, really enjoyed the stay and the property itself. Only complaint I have is yard around pool needed mowing and weed eating in a big way. Grass and sticker burrs were extremely tall and my grandkids kept getting stickers in their feet. Had that been done, I would rate this place a 4 out of 5. Had a good time anyways, so not a huge deal. Wouldn't have even brought this up, but you asked. Thanks

Summer get away

This is a great property. I’ve stayed at several locations in Port Aransas over the past several year and this home has been the best so far. Great location, extremely well kept home and a pool. Loved it.

A great COVID-safe getaway in Port A

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Shamrock by the Sea is a perfectly located property in Port A. It's spacious and exactly as pictured online. The kitchen is well equipped to cook or host great meals and the master shower was a delight. Expect others staying with you to want to 'try it out!' The pool is also super cute though there is no privacy.I'd say the beds could be more comfortable. In additional the bunk room beds squeaked with each toss and turn. The linens (both sheets and towels) are a bit rough. Finally, I'd advise bringing your own towel paper, facial tissue and toilet paper. The last concern involves the provided golf cart. One headlight was out and a day into the trip the cart would only go backwards! Due to availability, and being stranded for about 30 minutes, Silver Sands replaced the cart. The replacement cart had some braking issues. It was last day of our trip and the weather turned ugly so we decided to drive our cars instead. Be sure to check your provided cart on arrival and ensure it's fully functional!

Perfect house and great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family planned this vacation three weeks before. Having been somewhat new to Texas we had never been to the beach. The house was perfect for our family of four. The location is around the corner from the beach or you can walk the boardwalk. A golf cart was included and although it was freezing outside we took the cart to drive on the beach and my nine year old LOVED it!! The house was well equipped with all of the necessities. We did bring our own towels and pillows, I like my pillow flat. The living room, dining room and kitchen were all open which was perfect for family time. The bedrooms were a good size with plenty of room for our belongings. The only thing I was concerned with is the temperature of the water, our showers could’ve been a little warmer. Other than that we will definitely be back and I would recommend this house to others!
