The house is wonderful. So comfortable and welcoming. Robin is a wonderful host and very helpful. It sits on the Somesville sound and has great skies in the morning. The house is perfect for hiking and exploring the park without being in the fray of Bar Harbor. The grocery store about 10 minutes away has most things you need but the Beech Hill Farm has the freshest veggies and organic meats. We loved the place so much and were sad to leave.

Very charming home with everything we could possibly need. The views were spectacular, close to everything but so very private. Very peaceful and serene!! A wonderful escape!!

Great location for what we were doing in Acadia. The dock was great and the wildlife was fun for the family. The deck was a great gathering place every morning for coffee and to set up plans for the day. We had a large group and there were plenty of rooms so we could put people where they had privicy. We had a couple of hot days and the AC upstairs had some problems but they got fans for us and worked on making our stay an enjoyable event. The host and his local manager were very helpful and made sure things were open when we arrived and were in contact quickly if we had any questions. The house was clean and well stocked with towels bedding and anything we needed . We were able to cook onsite as well as find great dining withing a few minutes away.Great place to stay.

Great property, views of the water, deer visited everyday , 3 adult couples had plenty of space. The location is perfect close to park, bar harbor and southwest harbor.

Well-maintained home in a beautiful location

We immensely enjoyed our stay at the Hearon pool. The house was a destination itself in the beautiful Acadia setting.

Our stay at Heron Pool was delightful. The home is charmingly weathered but very comfortable with every convenience. The location is fantastic- 15 mins from Bar Harbor and 15 mins from “the quiet side” (southwest and northeast) making visitors to the national park perfectly positioned to easily enjoy all the island has to offer. However, the very best part of this home was the property. The view from every window is stunning. The meadow between the yard and the sound was filled with wildflowers. The inlet the house sits on is quiet, secluded and serene. The walk to the dock, the dock itself, and views from it are picturesque. Our 4 young children had no end to delight exploring and playing in the yard and on the shore. The home is set back from the road so that, while easily accessible, it feels very private. This home felt like a cozy retreat magically set in a wonderland. We could have stayed forever. Additionally, the host and caretaker were very responsive and accommodating. Notes to future guests: ask the caretaker about heating and cooling prior to arrival, I did not find the system intuitive. The home no longer had a swing set but our children did not need one, there was plenty of space for them to play and explore without it.

Great Location, Peaceful Stay

We had an enjoyable stay at Robert's property. There was plenty of space for the entire family, yet it still felt comfortable and cozy. The location was perfect for getting around Mt. Desert Island. The location by the water was incredibly peaceful.

Wonderful Visit to Maine

We greatly enjoyed our stay Heron Pool. There were several small issues that we encountered but the caretaker was able to resolve them quickly. We met our host and he was wonderfully welcoming and made us feel like part of the family.

Peaceful location close to Acadia NP.

Great location. Lots of space to move about with the 8 of us. Loved the little cottage on the property which gave my husband and I some quiet from our adukt kids who stay up later than we do!

Eclectic House with Tableware for many many guests

Our group of 10 as 3 families really enjoyed the house. The kitchen was well stocked on dishes, cooking items, spices. We also enjoyed the library of books (there was a very eclectic range of books)

Beautiful location - convenient to Acadia & downtown Bar Harbor

This was the first time we stayed in this area of the island and it did not disappoint. It was an easy drive to Acadia National Park, downtown Bar Harbor, and the Bass Harbor lighthouse. The sunrises every morning over the water were spectacular, the house was homey and quaint with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of space for our family of 5 and 2 significant others. Highly recommend!

Great location at the center of Acadia

Property is ideally located literally at the center of Acadia. Short drive to all the hikes and local attractions on Mt Desert Island. Very peaceful watching the tides roll in and out from the deck. Plenty of room in the house, which is well-maintained.

Secluded Hide-away

Our group of 4 couples enjoyed staying at this property. Each couple had a bathroom. The property was as advertised. The owner and manager were very easy to work with. Our favorite place to gather was the sunroom.

Heron Pool

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is in a beautiful location. Kitchen is well equipped and clean. The caretaker was very responsive. The bottom bunk was uncomfortable for an adult, but the other accommodations were fine.
