The Groovy Getaway is a 3 minute drive from the heart of Downtown, 2 minutes from Tucson Convention Center, and 2 minutes from I-10 freeway.
The Groovy Getaway welcomes you to an enjoyable stay in The Salcido House. This gem was built in 1915, known as The Salcido House, it was named after the family that adored it for 75+ years. This beautiful multi-family home has been divided into 3 separate living spaces and the Groovy Getaway is perfect for solo travelers or couples. Located just South of Downtown at the historic Five Points Barrio Santa Rosa district.
Funky warm tones & vintage embellishments greet you at every turn. Is that a cloud you're sleeping on? Nope, that's just the green tea memory foam mattress we got in your bedroom! This one bedroom one bathroom property offers a queen bed with plenty of pillows. The blackout curtains and A/C will ensure you have a restful nights sleep. Relax and catch those zzz's.
This is a smart home equipped with e-locks for the convenience of self check-in. A stay in the Groovy Getaway's living room has a nice flat-screen tv where you'll be able to Netflix and chill with your favorite humans. The 50" smart TV provides access to most typical streaming apps. We also have some classic board games for your entertainment!
Inside the kitchen, you'll find all the silverware, pots, pans and plates you need to cook yourself dinner from scratch. Because sometimes we just want a home-cooked meal, right? You'll find all you need in this kitchen including a full-sized fridge, oven-stove, toaster, coffee machine (and better yet a pour over brewer), microwave, pots, pans and more. Please enjoy the fresh coffee provided for you. Looking for takeout or to dine some place amazing? Take a look at our Salcido House Welcome Book located in your room for some great recommendations around town. Some of Tucson's BEST dining is just minutes away.
The bathroom has a beautiful claw foot tub and shower. Guests are provided with Public Goods shampoo, conditioner and body wash (clean, holistic and sustainable- yay!) The bathroom is stocked with plenty of important essentials like: shower towels, makeup towels, a hair dryer, q-tips, oxygen and more.
Guests are welcome to use the walk in closet and dresser for clothing storage needs. Iron and ironing board are also provided.
The property offers fast wireless internet. There is not a defined work space, but the kitchen table can be used as a small work area if needed.
The Groovy Getaway has its own private entrance from the main house. Outdoor areas include a large secluded side yard and a beautiful screened porch. There is ample outdoor space to enjoy yourselves with a glass of wine or refreshing drink. The screened porch is an amazing entertainment space,
relax in the hammock under the string light stars, or get down with some cocktails and play some patio games!

Varför värden valde detta boende
The Salcido House is located in a part of Tucson that we love going to on the weekend, it is located adjacent to one of our favorite breakfast joints, 5 Points Market. The homes in the neighborhood are so unique and beautiful.
