The space
The cabin is charming. One room including vaulted ceilings, a crystal chandelier, and an antique iron queen size bed with luxury linens. The sitting area features two leather recliners for relaxing, reading or watching the wall mounted cable TV with built in DVD player. There is wifi and internet access. The kitchen: refrigerator /freezer, electric range, island with two bar stools, antique sink, ceiling fan, wood burning stove and charm all day long. Full bathroom off the main room. Has antique tin ceiling tiles, antique beadboard granite top sink, tile shower and a small closet. The outdoor, open air bathroom is accessed from the side deck. Has toilet, fabulous old concrete sink from Juarez, Mexico and a shower stall. The wraparound deck has two deck chairs, a porch swing, a wicker setee and an outdoor dining table. There is a hibachi for outdoor grilling (charcoal and lighter fluid provided). Newly added is a propane fire.
Guest access
The cabin is roughly a half mile from our main ranch house. It has a separate gated entrance and is about a quarter mile from the gate, up a gravel road. The road gets a little rougher as you near the cabin. Low clearance, luxury vehicles discouraged!
Other things to note
Up to 2 dogs are allowed for additional fees. Guests are required to clean up after pets.
There is another cabin nearby but it is not available for rental at this time.
