The hosts were very hospitable and responsive - thank you for providing snacks & soda/bottled water. All of the rooms were very spacious and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the hardwood floors, kitchen amenities, comfortable beds, and extra blankets in the bedrooms and living room. This was my first time staying in a basement, so I'm not sure if low ceilings are common - they were quite low in some areas (doorways & bathroom), which could be an issue for taller guests. Also, the shower was very small/narrow, which could be an issue for some.Other reviews noted the noise/footsteps from upstairs, which I thought would be similar to a hotel - it was not. The room with the 2 queen beds was particularly bad; I assume the upstairs kitchen is directly above since the footsteps were extremely loud and constant throughout the day. The other two bedrooms were not as bad. Again, this may be typical for a basement. We appreciated having the dedicated parking spot close to the entrance. The house and front yard are elevated above this parking space, and the sprinklers would wet my car every day. Unfortunately, this left water spots in the clear coat on the hood, roof, and right side that could only be removed with a clay bar detail and wax. I don't remember any other reviews mentioning this, but future guests should be aware. There's also a pretty steep incline to get to/from the outside trash bin, as well as steps in the entry hallway for anyone with mobility concerns.
