Relax and unwind in the hot tub under the trees after an exhilarating hike above the Yuba river. Curl up under a blanket & enjoy your favorite cup of coffee or glass of wine on the multi level deck. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.

This property has 3 levels consisting of 4 bedrooms, 3 baths a separate office and is 2200 sqft. You enter the house on the main level. The main level has a very open concept with lots of windows looking out into the trees. The kitchen, Living room and dining room are all on the this level. As well as a full bathroom and bedroom with a queen size bed. The bathroom has a shower bathtub combo.

Main level has 1 bedroom with a queen mattress as well as, a queen air mattress, and twin sized floor mattress.

On the second floor you have 2 bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom. Each bedroom has their own private vanity and sink. There is a shower bath tub combo in this bathroom as well. The first bedroom on this floor has a king mattress. The 2nd room has 3 beds a queen and 2 twins. Please see pictures for the orientation.

On the lower level there is 1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom, an office and a huge deck. The bedroom has 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed that pulls out from underneath the queen bed frame. NOTE TO GET TO THIS LEVEL YOU HAVE TO WALK OUT SIDE AND DOWN THE STAIRCASE ON THE DECK. There is no entrance from inside the house. The bedroom is on the same central heating & air conditioning system as the rest of the house plus it has an electric wall heater if you like it extra toasty. Please read the descriptions on the pictures to get a better idea of the layout.

Guest have access to everything.

We are only a short drive away and our available between 8 am -8pm.

IMPORTANT: If you cancel your reservation 31 days before your check-in we will refund you 100% of your payment minus the Credit Card processing fee of 3.9%. We also recommend all guest purchase trip insurance as it is relatively affordable, and protects you against unforeseen situations.

SMOKING FEE DISCLAIMER: We take great pride in providing a clean and comfortable environment for all our guests. To ensure the well-being of everyone who stays in our property, we strictly enforce a no-smoking policy.

SMOKING FEE: A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if evidence of smoking is found within the premises. This fee is intended to cover the costs associated with professional odor removal and restoration of the property to its smoke-free condition.
Our property is routinely inspected for smoke odors after every reservation. If smoking is detected during or after your stay, the smoking fee will be applied to cover the necessary cleaning and restoration processes.

This property is conveniently located right off Red Dog Rd. Which is 2 miles (5 min drive) from downtown Nevada City. About 500' up the road is Deer Creek Trail which offers miles of walking trails. This house is also very close (10 min drive) to the beautiful Scotts Flat lake. With plenty of parking for your boat this property is perfect for your lake trip.

There is plenty of parking on the property for about 6 cars. Being right off Red Dog Rd provides an easy drive into town or Scotts Flat. Red Dog Rd has a speed limit of 35 mph so not the best walking neighborhood until you reach Deer Creek Trail which is about 500' up the road.

IMPORTANT: We have one doorbell camera at the front door to help us with the check in process. it only records when set off by motion for small periods of time.

The vacation rental property you have selected (the “Vacation Rental”) may have additional rules, policies, terms and conditions that apply to your stay, which are found in the description section(s) of the Vacation Rental listing. Among others, this Agreement contains the following important terms:
• Any payments you make are non-refundable. Please read the cancellation policy carefully before booking and consider purchasing travel insurance (Section 2).
• You are releasing JC Property Solutions LLC and the homeowner from certain types of liability and agreeing to assume certain risks on behalf of yourself and each individual present during the stay (Sections 12 & 13); you are aware that traveling may increase your risk of contracting COVID-19.
• This Agreement requires claims to be resolved through Arbitration (Section 17).
• This Agreement contains a Jury Trial wavier and a Class action waiver (Section 19).

1. BOOKING TRANSACTION. This Agreement is betweenJC Property Solutions LLC (“The host”) and the individual completing this booking transaction for the Vacation Rental (“you” or “Guest”).JC Property Solutions LLC represents the owner of the Vacation Rental. JC Property Solutions LLC provides the Vacation Rental subject to the terms of this Agreement. You agree that you will be present at the Vacation Rental for the entire duration of the reservation and that you will be responsible for the actions and behavior of each individual present at the Vacation Rental during your stay. This includes ensuring everyone in your party or otherwise present at the Vacation Rental (each an “occupant”) is aware of and in compliance with the terms identified in this Agreement. If you are bringing a minor as an occupant, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for the supervision of that minor throughout the duration of your stay and agree to the terms of this Agreement on each minor’s behalf.
2. PAYMENT TERMS & CANCELLATION. The total amount due, including the base rates, taxes, and fees are displayed on the checkout webpage for the Vacation Rental. A portion of your total payment may be due upon checkout, as indicated in the “amount to be charged now” line. The balance is due prior to arrival within the schedule indicated on the reservation webpage. Please review these amounts carefully. You may cancel your booking at any time, however, all amounts that have been paid prior to your cancellation will be non-refundable unless specifically indicated otherwise at checkout. Please review the specific cancellation and refund terms in the listing you are reserving prior to checkout as exceptions will not be made once your reservation is confirmed.
3. HOUSE RULES & POLICIES. The Vacation Rental may have specific rules and policies regarding pets, smoking/vaping, quiet hours, parking, pool and/or hot tub usage, and
other local, HOA, or property regulations. These rules are detailed in the description section of the Vacation Rental listing, in an Exhibit A attached hereto, or as otherwise delivered to you, and are incorporated into this Agreement.

Birthday celebration at the treehouse

There were 8 of us at this home. I loved that you saw trees from every window of the home, even the skylight. The decks were a lovely place to sit and enjoy the views. We used the grill and the hot tub. Very easy. Beds were comfortable. It was a short drive to the downtown. Would stay there again.

Spacious but cozy for the winter weekend

House had a good layout for our family, even more space than we needed. We used the kitchen and also ate in town which is just a quick 5 min drive. Hot tub in a hailstorm was a highlight.

Lovely Comfortable Home in Great Location

We enjoyed our stay in this clean and spacious home. It had everything that we needed to be quite comfortable. The house has a beautiful deck that looks out over a mature forested area, which was very pleasant. The house is also near Nevada City, which is a great old mining town with plenty of stores & restaurants. The hosts for this property are great - they are very responsive and want to make your check-in very easy and the whole stay comfortable & inviting. Thanks Julia & Craig.

This was a last minute find. It accommodated my family and grandkids. We cooked most meals in the fully equipped kitchen, which is hard to find. The host delivered more firewood! Thank goodness! I would stay again if I'm ever in the area. The downstairs suite was a definite bonus! Thank you!

Wonderful stay!

This home was clean, spacious, beautiful, and in a great location. The kitchen and grill had everything we needed to prepare meals for large groups. The hosts were attentive and communicative. Would recommend staying here!

Couldn't make it

I had an injury and the owner wouldn't reschedule us because we should have purchased insurance according to the owner. That would have been okay if that hadn't sent me an email saying I needed to buy them renter's insurance because of a miscommunication between the owner and Vrbo. This was an additional expense that was not disclosed and that weren't even sorry. So I think this owner's big on minding the rules when it makes them money but not other times. They didn't even automatically refund the cleaning fees when we didn't come - I had to pursue them to get a refund.

Great home in the forest

The home is excellent, the instructions are clear, we loved sitting on the deck out back chatting in the morning with the sounds of the forest in the background. Good hiking nearby as well. We had a great time.
