Peaceful Retreat, OBX Village Studio
A hidden gem, the quiet fishing village of Wanchese is tucked away on the southernmost tip of Roanoke Island. While conveniently located minutes from Jennette's Pier, the Roanoke Island Aquarium, and the Elizabethan Gardens, the Village offers visitors a truly authentic Outer Banks experience. Be sure to visit one of the Seafood Markets in Wanchese or grab at hot meal from one of the local eateries.
Built in 2020 natural light pours into the 500 sq.ft. coastal studio through oversized windows creating a bright, airy atmosphere. Designed for form and function, the thoughtfully appointed studio encompasses the entire second floor of a stand alone garage. It features a full kitchen with dishwasher, full bath, and stackable washer/dryer. Additionally, a starter kit is provided to guests with dishwasher tablets, a small tide detergent, paper towels, and toilet paper in addition to a few small snacks. In the pantry you’ll find a variety of K-cups and single brew coffee machine along with a toaster.
Throughout the studio guests have access to highspeed internet, the bedroom offers guests a restful nights sleep on a queen size Serta mattress with 100% cotton linens, the living room features a smart TV(guests are responsible for logging in/out of their own apps) and a breakfast table with seating for two. The studio design makes this an ideal space for a couples getaway.
Bring your essentials and let us take care of the rest, bed sheets, bath towels, beach towels, and two beach chairs are provided for your convenience. Guests will enjoy their own driveway with off-road parking for two vehicles and access the studio by private stairs and coded keyless entry.

Great central location for a couples retreat. Close to shopping and food in Manteo and of course the beaches. The space is extremely well done, clean, and has an excellent host.

We love staying here and just finished our second visit. It’s such a pleasure to come back to this peaceful spot after a day at the beach or at crowded attractions. The unit is spotlessly clean and well stocked, including beach chairs and a keurig. Tyler is very responsive and check in/out is a breeze. Thank you, Tyler!

What a wonderful space to relax and enjoy OBX without being right up in the hustle and bustle. The Host has created such a welcoming space with such attention to details. We so enjoyed our stay here. It was the prefect home base for all the sightseeing we did.This place is immaculate and our host left us fresh chicken eggs from his chickens in the back yard which we thoroughly enjoyed while we were here. We named some of the chickens and loved sitting and watching them.It's very quiet and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Our host gave us access to his gym and backyard to enjoy and left us a booklet that added even more sights to our stay which we visited as well as restaurants that he recommended. We would come back here in a heartbeat!

Best stay ever! Tyler the host is amazing. The little cottage feel of the studio was perfect. Located in a very peaceful and quiet fishing village. Tyler took care of everything we needed, checked in to find out if there was anything else that we could possibly need. The studio is cozy and truly feels like a little home away from home. The bed is super comfortable. Its the little details that matter. Tyler truly takes care of all of the little things that really matter and make youe vacation matter.

This was a cute and comfortable spot for a long weekend. Everything was exactly as described and very clean. The studio is a very short drive to restaurants, the beach, and the nearby wildlife refuges. I’ll definitely look to stay here again the next time I come to obx!

Best VRBO ever!!
Everything about this place made us feel special! So much to do in the Outer Banks (OBX). Seafood galore, miles of sandy, clean beaches, museums, movies, more beaches, more sunshine, wild horses, etc!!!!!

Weekend getaway
We had a great stay! It was perfect for me and my husband. Very clean and comfortable with it’s own parking space. The Welcome basket was very nice touch too!!

Such a beautiful property! Me and my boyfriend came for our 2 year anniversary and we absolutely loved it! Tyler’s welcome book was very helpful. We had everything we needed. We would definitely return!

Perfect Long Weekend Getaway
Everything about our stay was perfect. This studio is close to the marina, great restaurants, and the beaches. It is also far enough away from the hustle and bustle to allow for a relaxing getaway. The studio itself is gorgeous, yet comfortable, and Tyler has included extra touches to make you feel right at home.

Getaway
Great property! Not too far from restaurants, beach and stores. Very clean and well equipped. Tyler was very responsive. Will definitely keep in mind for returning stay and for friends coming down.

Hello, I'm Tyler. A native to Roanoke Island, I grew up about 12 minutes from my current residence. I attended NC State University and obtained a BS in Park, Recreation, and Tourism Management. Tourism drives the economy here on the Outer Banks and I love sharing my passion for this unique sandbar with locals and visitors alike. I'm happy to provide a home away from home for our visitors and hope every stay is memorable.

The street is quite with minimal traffic and little light pollution. It's the perfect sanctuary after a long day at the beach and the star gazing is spectacular.
