--PEPPERS COTTAGE - ligger på Mile efter 17. 5 på Beach Road. Det är en del av Laughing Gull Cottages, en Ocean Front-gemenskap.

Peppers är en mysig stuga för 2 personer som ligger vid havet. Bara ca 150 meter till stranden.

Denna stuga kan se rustik utifrån, men det är bara rätt för en romantisk semester!

Peppers har en drottning säng och ett badrum. Det finns en utomhusdusch också.

Köket är fullt utrustat så middagen är en kick!

I vardagsrummet finns bekväma möbler, TV med DVD-spelare och gratis Wi-Fi.

Däcket är rymliga och inhägnad så det är säkert för småbarn och husdjur. Också tillhandahålls ett picknickbord och en kolgrill.

Visste du? När Peppers byggdes först, dr. Forbes hyrde den till en katolsk kardinal.
Han tyckte om det så mycket att han välsignade stugan innan han lämnade.
Det har varit vår mest populära par stuga ända sedan!

A favorite place to stay

I have stayed at this cottage before as well as other Rentals on the Ocean rentals and every stay has been exceptional. The houses are older but so well taken care of and seem to be consistently updated on the inside and out as well as all of the amenities.

Perfect for senior Couple

Property is perfect for2 and a pet. Well equipped cottage for a getaway to the beach. Near handicap beach access and has private beach access. Minimal steps a plus for us. We would rent again.

Perfect spot by the ocean

Quiet cottage just steps from the ocean. Very clean space and has all the amenities of home. Well stocked kitchen. Communication with the rental agency was quick and thorough. Pets welcome which was a huge plus!

Another great stay

We previously stayed at the cottage and the entire kitchen was redone. We arrived a little earlier than checkin time and reached out to the property manager who sent over the cleaners so that we could start our vacation early. Once again, a great place to stay and we will definitely return.

Cozy cottage

Quiet Cabin Perfect for Two

Great spot!

My husband and I rented peppers with our two dogs for 2 nights and it was great. Perfect location, ease of check in/out, and friendly staff. We wish check out was a bit later than 10am since it was offseason, but we look forward to returning soon!

Fresh fish run

Drove down to buy fresh fish to bring back home. This place was cheaper than a hotel room. Cleanest place we have ever stayed. Has everything you need. Location was perfect. Beach is a short walk. Would stay again.

Love this little cottage!

My husband and I wanted to get away for the weekend with our two dogs and came across this cottage! It was just the perfect size for us. It had such a cozy feel to it! It was close to the beach which was also great! We are planning another trip soon and hope that it is available!

Fantastic, quiet little hideaway.

Peppers cottage was exactly what I was looking for: cozy, affordable & close to the beach! Had nice amenities, and everything was clean and tidy. Came during the off-season, and it was pleasantly quiet. Got a ton of reading done! A great place to hideaway for a few days, should one be so inclined. Would absolutely stay again!

Perfect spot for a long weekend

Peppers is the perfect place for a long weekend. My wife and I enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. Each morning I spent surf fishing while she relaxed on the beach. The fenced in porch was great and let our Maltese enjoy relaxing afternoons with us. You cannot go wrong if you pick this little slice of heaven

Great little place, affordable, and excellent location

Pepper's #8 was fantastic and a perfect fit for my wife and I's 10 year anniversary. The size is perfect for two people wanting a place to stay with the intention of enjoying themselves out and about. The cost was incredibly reasonable and the interactions with the management team was very pleasant. Will most likely look at staying here again and potentially some of the other houses on the same lot. Let me add the charcoal grill was a great touch to help us cook several afternoons and nights as opposed to going out to eat each day.

Our Founder, Dr. Sarah Forbes passed away in 2011. She was a compassionate physician, dedicated to her patients becoming Norfolk General’s first female chief resident of OB/GYN.
In 1958, she became the first female physician to open a private OB/GYN practice in Newport News, VA.
Dr. Forbes was the first woman to be selected to the board, and the first female president, of the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula, where she was honored as a member of the “Wall of Fame” – the first and only woman to be so honored in the club’s 65-year history.

Sarah was often honored for her contributions to the organizations she served, and the community she loved.
Among her many awards were the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities’ Humanitarian Award in 2007, and the Medallion Award which is the highest recognition presented by The Boys and Girls Club of America to volunteers.

She served as president of several community organizations that include the Virginia Peninsula Academy of Medicine, the Newport News Chapter of the American Cancer Society, the Newport News Medical Society, and the Peninsula Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Her generosity benefited many organizations, including the Cancer Society, the Newport News Medical Society, the Peninsula Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Family Planning Council, First Baptist Church of Newport News, the Peninsula SPCA, Mariners’ Museum, Riverside Hospital, and Christopher Newport University.

We are continuing Dr. Forbes’ Legacy
All of our vacation homes are owned by Sarah E. Forbes MD, Trust which continues her legacy by using our profits to make regular donations to the charities she loved.
We take care of the houses like she would have wanted.

He liked it so much that before he left, he blessed the cottage.
