Amazing spot

Start out this condo was the first one when you get there. The room 504 is right when you turn off the elevator. Which is a plus with kids. The water park, Beach, great food is all walking distance. They had everything you could need if you forgot something.

First time destin

The view was great the pics don't do the condo justice. The walk to the beach was short. The fireworks at the harbor can be see on the balcony. Only down side is there isn't any side walks if u want to exit the property until you are on the main road. But if you don't want to walk to the souvenir shop shouldn't be a problem. I would recommend and will be staying again.

The condo itself was clean, very spacious and had a gorgeous view of the surrounding area. I had one, very large complaint about our overall stay though. My family and I were told on the 4th day of our 6 day stay that our water heater was leaking and would need to be replaced. They told us the hot water would need to be turned off just for the night and it would be replaced in the morning. Maintenance in the building never returned the next morning, nor were they available in their office. We called and sent multiple messages to the vacasa team in Destin, never receiving any response on the matter. My family and I were forced to find other places to take hot showers the rest of our stay. As much as we enjoyed our vacation, no hot water put a very large damper on the end of our stay. I do not recommend booking through vacasa, absolutely horrible communication.

Good, but potential for great

The property was in a very good location. The view from this 5th floor unit was great, with a sliver of the ocean showing between the buildings on the beach. The beach was just a short 5 minute walk through the parking lot and then a walkway between those 2 buildings to the beach. We did run into 2 problems. A dining room chair was broken when we arrived and the bench at the DR table was wobbly. It looked like newer furniture throughout, but maybe not the most durable. Also, we had a newer working refrigerator with cosmetic damage?that had recently been delivered, but the owner wanted to replace it during our stay, which would have meant that we would have been without a cool refrig for at least several hours with no place to go with our food. The property manager did contact us and said he would try to make arrangements to take care of it after we left. Overall, a nice clean unit which seemed to be recently updated.

Property/location -amazing! But I Wish I would’ve researched Vacasa. Still, you have to dig! As they remove/hide unwanted comments & reviews. I’ll be shocked if this is on VRBO site. No early flexibility as I was told they were cleaning. That’s fine. At 10min till 4p I tried code & didn’t work. I called to confirm the code or if I had to wait at 4 exactly & was given a new code. Upon entry, the dust/lack of attention to cleaning details was immediately noticeable. I am a house cleaner but even my 12 year olds noticed the dust in areas. Stray, noticeable hairs in the shower & sink, possible blood spots on cabinets/doors, built up dust & hair trims on the cabinet doors, fixtures & entertainment center. I SPECIFICALLY inquired about the noise/construction before booking. Their response, quote- “we have not had any reports of the guests being disturbed”-I call BS! As the construction was DIRECTLY above us & started at 8am every morning. I sent a video of this & was basically told “sorry for the inconvenience, I know it’s frustrating.” $180 on groceries-Fridge doesn’t work. Go to wash towels-Washer doesn’t work. (was given instructions how to fix by checking hoses, inlets etc). On our 2nd to last day, a family of 5 is trying to get in our room.They were booked & given a code, that didn’t work. I was never offered even a small refund for any issues & was told- “Really sorry, we know it’s frustrating.”After digging, this all seems to be a common issue for their guests!

A perfect home away from home!

Our family chose this condo for our stay for three reasons, it was a 3 minute walk to the beach, updated decor and furniture, and the price! The condo had everything needed to accommodate a family of 5. The kitchen was stocked with plates, coffee mugs, and a good amount of pots and pans which allowed for us to cook breakfast and a family dinner. The fountain and beach views from the balcony were stunning and so peaceful. We will be looking forward to more stays with Vacasa!
