Memorial Day Weekend

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Great place for my family. Especially appreciated the third floor corner unit with 3 private oceanfront balconies and close proximity to the pool.

Great condo in well maintained complex

I hadn’t stayed in the Bahia Mar in years and was to see it is well maintained. The teens enjoyed the pool and the adults enjoyed the deck overlooking the beach. The condo is very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Fun weekend!!

Family Vacation

Great property location inside Bahia Mar, the condo is comfortable and spacious. However, the blinds in the bedrooms are broken and there is no private grill, there is a common area that has to be reserved with anticipation if you want to cook some bbq and it was full during our stay. Kitchen is fully stocked, however more tupperwares would have been nice. Beds are comfy and there is a TV in each room. Acces to the beach is a very short walk. Ample parking space. I would recommend it for families.

A great place to stay

Excellent location, especially proximity to beach. Comfortable and functional accommodation and quick to acclimate to the idiosyncrasies. The owner, Judy Mitchell, was especially responsive to questions and rapidly solved the few problems. Our stay was, overall, smooth sailing.

Amazing Beach front condo

Stayed June7-11 with wife and 4 teenagers. Condo was perfect, Amazing beach front views very short walk to beach. Kitchen fully stocked, beds wonderfully comfortable!! The place was perfect and Judy the host was also extremely responsive and helpful. Definitely coming back!!

Amazing Island Getaway

My family has stayed at this resort a few times, this unit was our favorite by far!! The location of this unit was right in front of the beach and right next to the pool. The host was wonderful and responded immediately when we had questions! We would reccomend this unit and property for a great family vacation!!

Fun in the Sun!

We had a great time! Our college age kids brought friends, so they had their own rooms. The kitchen is big with all the appliances, so it is very easy to cook. Great view of the beach from all of the balconies. I highly recommend.

Beautiful place and views

The place was very nice, clean and had everything we needed. Pool right out the side of our building, nice deck to sit and enjoy beach view and chill. Short walk to the beach. We all had great time. The only down side is that it was on the 3rd floor which wasn't apparent when booking and ny husband has a bad knee so was difficult going up and down.

Great unit in a unique property on the island. Unit was comfortable, ample and well-decorated. Also arguably the best location in the complex - right next to the pool with stellar ocean views. Owners communicate well too, so combined with all of the above, snatch this one up when you can!

This property has a great view of the gulf and is ideally located near the pool and the the beach. The condo was very well stocked with every conceivable appliance, bowls, cutlery or whatever you needed. Judy promptly answered any questions we had and I loved the check in process. The property was in a perfect location, right next to the pool and beach. The complex is a little complicated to navigate, but instructions to get in were very detailed and accurate and security up front were very helpful. The host was easy to contact and responded quickly! Some things to note: the condo is on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators. The beds in the room with two queen beds are extremely hard, but you get used to them after a few nights. There was a large but refundable damage deposit included in the itemized list of the 2nd payment, which is not mentioned anywhere until it was time to make that final payment. All in all, 5 stars! We had a great time and would stay here again.

We love the water! Whether we are on the beach or off shore, South Padre Island is our Texas Hawaiian Paradise. I like to fish in the Ladies Kingfish Tournament each year and my husband acts as my deckhand while my son (Veteran of the Coast Guard) captains his boat. We live in the San Antonio area and try to make it down to the Island whenever our busy schedules permit. Our dream would be to someday retire on the Island.

Considered to be some of the cleanest beaches in Texas along with the fabulous varieties of fishing to include off shore fishing, jetties, pier, surf casting and bay fishing. The beautiful views from the unit make it a great escape from the rat race of the city and every day stress.
For the Party Animals, Clayton's is a quick 10 minute walk on the beach from our door to the bar!
