Good Place, Great Views, Deceptive Fees
We came out for my wife's birthday with the family. As you can probably see from the pictures, the views at the house are incredible. That's the highlight, in my opinion. The house is big and spacious, if a little old and dated. But again, based on the pics, we went in eyes wide open about that. The biggest thing that stops this from being a positive review is that no where in the listing does it say how expensive it is to heat the pool and hot tub. In fact, it doesn't disclose that there will be any fees on that front at all. When I asked the property manager to waive those fees bc they had not been disclosed at the time of booking, that request was firmly declined. We elected to just heat the hot tub, which was a disappointment because we were traveling with 2 kids. For folks considering renting this house, know that they quoted price to heat the pool was 20% of my total booking price -- and the booking price was not cheap. I hope that the house updates the listing so that the fees are clear, or better yet, eliminates them entirely. But if not, posting it here so would-be renters can know.
