Lavender & Lemon is a warm and comfortable home. You will be able to have peace and quiet on the porch and enjoy your coffee or breakfast. If you’re peaceful you may see the local wildlife in the early morning or late evening. You are within walking distance to the ocean. You can also take a short drive to Erica’s Seafood for a local and extremely fresh lunch or dinner. Harpswell is a remote fishing community so please bring your bike, kyak or canoe and enjoy the sites!

House in Harpswell.

We enjoyed our stay. The pillows on the beds were incredibly comfortable. I ordered some on Thursday morning. It would have been nice to know the television situation ahead of time. The internet was great.

Comfortable cottage

Short visit but fun little cottage off the beaten path. Most comfortable beds ever and very responsive host and caretaker. Would stay here again. Loved the nearby waterfront restaurants.

Very comfortable stay!

This property was as described and it felt like we were staying at a family member’s cozy house. The towels were thick, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Beautiful private property

We only stayed a night but everything was thoughtfully provided-very comfortable beds, week equipped kitchen and great information about places to eat and order food. Thank you for sharing this home!

Disappointing

Nice property outside, but one toilet was a slow flush and dripping after almost overflowing. There was no shampoo or conditioner in either shower and only a used bar of soap in one. The blow dryer was in a cardboard box in the closet. There were no bedside tables or lamps in one bedroom and a poor excuse for nightlights in another bedroom. And the location is near nothing. The one convenience store (Uncle Pete’s) in the area was awful and charged 23 dollars for a case of water - probably because the water was reported by the owner’s note to be undrinkable. Also, the TV did not work. This is the only time I have written a negative review for a VRBO, but this was very disappointing.

Maine getaway

We were attending a wedding at Live Well Farm just down the road. This was a perfect location to be close to the venue. Cute and cozy!

Beautiful Home!

Our family of four stayed for three nights and loved the area. Wished we were able to stay longer to pack more in but we managed to see the beautiful ocean, go shopping and eat a lot of lobster! The host, Marianna, was very accommodating and responsive. The house was very clean and had everything we needed! Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful natural setting in a lovely area

Property was great, private large yard, fire pit, surrounded by trees, feels secluded but is just off the main road when you're ready to explore. Well equipped kitchen, two nice bathrooms, three good sized bedrooms, porch and patio. We had four adults in our group and everyone was very happy with our stay!

A gem

We loved staying in this beautiful house. We ate fresh corn, walked along the nearby beaches, hoped to see a porcupine (but didn't), chatted in the comfortable living room, and did a load of laundry before driving north to camp. It was the perfect place and the pictures don't do it justice.

Beautiful property

This house was beautiful. Pantry was stocked with everything we needed and more. Water and laundry detergent, toilet paper, towels, etc were all there. The knives weren't great but we have found this to be true at almost every home we have rented and would have liked to have a broom available. Will stay here again. Very very quiet place.

Wonderful find!

My family and I absolutely loved the house. We only had one night there but Marianna made it special with the offer of a local fisherman steaming and delivering fresh lobsters and teaching us how to pick them. I would definitely recommend this home. There’s also lots of room outside for pets and kids if you bring them and a fire pit outside that we didnt get to use this time but looked really nice.

Comfortable weekend

Comfortable home in quiet, pretty location. Appreciate amenities. Enjoyed our stay. Note that the home, especially first floor, has strong odor of cigarette smoke that may trouble some.

I am a Harpswell Native and I grew up lobstering with my mother on her boat as a child. I also spent much time with my father doing some construction work and he is now the town road commissioner and beloved my the locals. Harpswell will always be home though I currently live in VT. I’ll be back to stay someday.

I recently inherited this home after losing one of the most important people in my life. A lot of LOVE, Passion, heartbreak and Soul searching went into Ed camping this home that she loved so much. Lavender being her favorite smell and Lemon her favorite taste. It’s all in loving memory of one one the greatest women the live amongst us.

This property is quiet and serene. It shares space with peaceful animals, birds and you may meet Rascal who is very friendly and the local black lab that makes his rounds daily.
This property is within a walking distance from the ocean or a short drive.
When booking with Lavender & Lemon you can have the option to order local Lobsters from a local Lobsterman steamed, delivered to the door and ready to eat. Please inquire if interested in this service.
