Surrounded by an idyllic Lowcountry landscape of live oaks, pines, and palmettos, this four-bedroom, four-and-one-half bath cottage looks across Canvasback Pond to the 18th hole of Osprey Point Golf Course. Its mid-Island location beyond the second security gate offers privacy and quick access to the beach, The Ocean Course, Osprey Point Golf Course and Cherrywood BBQ.
With generous living and sleeping spaces and abundant outdoor living, this home can comfortably accommodate multiple generations for full- or part-time living. Double-height windows, Brazilian cherry flooring, and tall ceilings make for a warm, inviting home. A vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and trusses in the living room creates drama and height while a cut-stone hearth and fireplace adds a cozy, focal point. Corner-to-corner windows and glass doors frame vistas of Canvasback Pond and open directly to the large, screened porch. Running the length of the home, the screened porch has a vaulted ceiling and ample room for year-round dining and lounging.
The spacious kitchen enjoys natural light from a bay of large windows, and its white custom cabinetry is offset by black, granite countertops and travertine flooring. A central island offers additional storage and counter seating, and a suite of new appliances includes a ThermadorÂź cooktop and oven, a paneled Sub-ZeroÂź refrigerator, and a wine chiller. Surrounded by large windows, the adjacent morning room opens onto the screened porch and appears to hover above Canvasback Pond.
An office is located behind a pair of French doors on the main floor.
Also on the main floor, the primary suite features a private sitting porch, a fireplace, and large bath with dual vanities, soaking tub, and walk-in shower with bench.
