Review of Sunset Ridge
The location in Tempe was fantastic and convenient if your stay involves anything with ASU. The neighborhood was not desirable.
MUCH APPRECIATION for allowing us to put luggage at the house hours before check in; the flexibility was appreciated.
A few comments I would appreciate being aware of if I was the owner or potential visitor:
-Kitchen light didn’t work the entire stay. Efforts were made to fix the issue but was beyond just needing new light bulbs.
-Batteries in remote living room TV died and there were none to be found in the house.
-There was a 4-piece set of mismatched flatware. If you’ll have more guests or a dinner party, bring your own silverware.
-General overall lack of care of property (touch up paint needed, steam clean couch, tidy garage area, kitchen drawer broken, pool table needs refurbished or replaced,etc)
-There was a load of laundry (towels and sheets) in the dryer upon our arrival. I had to fold and put away the items.
-No pillow cases in master bedroom-those were in the dryer too.
-Master bathroom was nice and bedroom was cool. However, the two other bedrooms didn’t seem to have vents and were HOT regardless of where we put thermostat (visit was August). Affected our guest greatly
-The majority of the outdoor cafe lighting was burnt out.
-Cox is internet provider-UNRELIABLE. Was out for nearly 3 days. If you have a student staying with you or need to work, plan to have internet issues - apparently common issue
