The house offered plenty of space for our group, the large yard was perfect for lawn games, and the pool was both clean and a huge hit with the kids.That said, while the property met our expectations in terms of size and layout, we were disappointed with the overall cleanliness and general upkeepâboth inside and out.Cleanliness issues:Several cabinet interiors were dirty, particularly under the kitchen sink.The outdoor deck floors had not been swept, and the railings were so grimy that no one wanted to lean on them.The screened pool house was musty and unclean; we spent an hour cleaning the tables, chairs, rug, and windows before we could comfortably use the space.The drip coffee pots had not been cleaned.There were ant infestations in both the front sitting area and the upstairs kitchen.Other issues that impacted our stay:No grill-cleaning tools or grilling utensils were provided.The downstairs refrigerator was missing three door shelves, limiting usable space.None of the outdoor decks had tables, making it difficult to enjoy meals outside.Bathrooms lacked towel bars or hooks, making it inconvenient to hang wet towels.The upstairs kitchen dishwasher did not function properly.Only one bath towel and one hand towel were provided per guest.In summary: we appreciated the homeâs size, outdoor space, and pool, but the propertyâs overall condition fell well below the standard we have come to expect from vacation rentals - especially at this price point.
