As travelers ourselves we value transparency, here are some specific things to be aware of.
- This house is in great shape and all our furniture is new. However the bathrooms and the kitchen could use an updating.
- Please note that the tub is perfectly clean, and functional, but has a slightly unsightly corrosion stain from an improper clean. It's perfectly safe, just not cute.
- We have our home professionally treated for pests and in the hot season we have it treated for mosquitoes to make the yard more fun and less buggy. That being said, this is still the deep south, and you may see a bug. This is not an indication of cleanliness, just the reality of a humid swampy area :) If you do see one just call us.
- This neighborhood is safe and our neighbors are chill but no area is perfect. Some people's yards look great, others don't. Some houses are pristine, some need updating. However this area is walkable and has plenty of kids in the area.

Clean. Absolutely loved it. Safe neighborhood. This will be where we stay when we come back to Charleston. Hosts were fantastic. We came for a long weekend and they had linens, towels, trash Bags, coffee filters, toilet paper, laundry detergent, KCups and shampoo/conditioner/body wash. All of those things are such a hassle for short turn around trips and frustrating to forget. Hot tub was huge and great. They even had a basket of stuffed toys that my daughter quickly found and played with all weekend.

The house was the perfect size for our family. 2 of our adult children and my parents joined us to visit my middle son. So we had 6 in the house. It was great for making breakfast every morning and playing games in the evenings. The place had everything we needed. It was also very convenient in location. Easy on and off the interstate and within 30 min of most attractions. 45 min to beaches. The only complaint I would have is it could use some upgrades and we found dead cockroaches.

The description was very honest and accurate. The property does need some upgrading however there were some things thats were not done that should have been addressed prior to any guests arriving. It's different if it happens while you are there (run out of supplies, something stops working) but not upon arrival. Some guesHowever I will say the host was very responsive and apologetic. He also offered to make things right a number of times but we did not want to be disturbed.

Hi Jeanine, guests like you are frustrating to host. You are on a budget, and yet your expectations are not on a budget. You expect everything perfection, but want a deal. You want to leave a multi point complaint about the house, but don't want anyone to do anything to fix it during your stay. You say nice things about us, but leave us a review that negatively affects us. Maybe next time just go to a hotel, you will be happier.

I would stay here again. Comfortable and Clean beds and towels. The house is a little dated, but clean and functional. I especially loved that there was coffee and creamer when we arrived. It fit my family of 7 well! Ceiling fans in every room was a nice feature as well!

This was the perfect sized residence for us centrally located and super comfortable!! We were in town for the birth of our first grandchild and needed a base of operations nearby and thanks to this perfectly clean, well appointed residence I can honestly say we had a perfect week! The childrens room has been upgraded with 2 twin size beds and their own tv so the kids have their own space, there were abundant towels and the beds were super comfortable. Neighborhood was perfectly safe and with a county sheriff living across the street as well we had zero worry about our vehicles. Neighborhood is quiet and the airport is nearby as well as the mall. Tons of resturants close at hand as well. Thanks so much for letting us stay!

Great home for a great price!
This was our first stay in Charleston, SC. The Yan was affordable, exactly what we needed for our group. If you are looking to stay on the northern end of Charleston, I would recommend staying here!

Pet friendly with no carpet in the main living space. Coffee maker was great. Web access was a little slow to meet our computer needs. The house furnishings while comfortable were old and could use cleaning. The location was perfect for our stay.

Race weekend
Had the opportunity to stay at "The Yan" perfect spot for our group that participated for the cooper river bridge run. Perfect for our group getting our rest and being on the go!Very close to highways and all the attractions! Thanks so much!

Wonderful stay.
The house was clean! Our host was friendly and a great communicator! Told us if we needed anything all we had to do was ask. I couldn’t recommend this property enough, it was perfect for our girls weekend. (It’s a 17 minute drive downtown and about 30ish mins from the beach, for those wondering)

Wonderful place to stay
My husband and I along with his parents, a nephew, our son and my mother stayed Monday through Friday and it was great. The room with the bunk beds was a perfect teen space. The kitchen was nice and spacious. We were very pleased with the complimentary coffee and water. The neighborhood was nice. Very pleased all the way around.

Quiet and clean
House was in a quiet neighborhood. Minutes from my daughter. Family enjoyed cooking on the grill. Beds were comfortable.

Multigenerational Visit
We were in town for our child's swim meet and the Yan house was perfectly located for our needs; close to the aquatics center, target, a mall, and chain restaurants. We were able to venture into downtown Charleston for the evening without difficulty. Our kids loved the loft, my in-laws were comfortable, and the house had everything we needed for a weekend stay.

Quiet location
This home is in a very quiet and secure neighborhood. We felt safe and comfortable staying there. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked perfectly, which was much needed as the weather was so hot. We were about 20 to 30 min from downtown Charleston which was great for our needs. Check in was super easy. There were a few issues, but we were able to reach the host quickly and they were handled immediately. I would stay here again.

Fun Weekend
We had a fun weekend in Charleston. This property was within a reasonable drive to Patriot Point Naval Maritime Museum, the Fort Sumter Tour, Golf courses and Restaurants. The property was comfortable with plenty of space. The property manager was also very accommodating when we requested a late check out due to a tour that was booked on the final day of our stay . Easy check in and Check out. Thank you Joseph.

Nice house in north charleston
We had a good time in Charleston.
The apartment was renovated in a nice modern style. Some details (lights too much neon, color spots on the floor) could be improved.
The kitchen had every necessary equipment, including coffee.
Beds were comfortable.
