Kingston 3 Bedroom 1 Bath Near the Rondout

Furnished 3 bed/1 bath in a duplex house well located in Kingston near the Rondout Waterfront District in NY's Hudson Valley (90 miles from NYC)

The house has access to the back yard and firepit and garage with a laundry and pool room. Parking is not owned by us so do so at your own risk or use the plentiful street parking.

Plunge Pool Available June 10th thru Labor Day.

Winter Rules:
1. Rates reduce on 11/1 thru March 31.
2. We charge extra $50 a day for heating fuel which is based on 10 gallons of heating per day. Anything less will be refunded on checkout. No charge for electric heat.

Rondout is home to a number of restaurants, shops and art galleries including the Trolley Museum, the Kingston Museum of Contemporary Arts, the Arts Society of Kingston, and Deep Listening Space. The Rondout Historic District constitutes the major portion of the extant nineteenth-century village of Rondout. Kingston is near the mountains and heavy snowfall is possible. Please prepare with proper gear, and note that snow removal may not coincide with your stay.

Since we are in a rural mountain environment, please be prepared for many indoor and outdoor critters and insects. We do our best to rid the unit of spiders and other bugs don’t be too surprised if the very determined bugs in Saugerties make it into the unit. We do remove them on each cleaning but drain flies are common and little fruit flies near windows. Again we remove these and regularly exterminate but they are a reality of life in the area.

Any interaction with these insects that are native to the area does not qualify for any refund or compensation.

1. Very pet friendly, many guests bring dogs, and a cat formerly lived in the unit. Therefore, this place is not ideal for people with allergies or sensitive to prior pet guests.
2. There are two units in the house but there is not a connection between our 2 units other than between two external doors.
3. Longer term stays are possible, but access to the unit for mid term cleaning is required for stays over 1.5 weeks.
4. Laundry and Pool Table are in common areas for the other tenants.

We absolutely loved staying at Steven’s place! It was better than expected, cuter than the photos show, and so spacious and comfortable. They even have good shampoo and toilet paper! When we arrived a little later in the evening, the lights and A/C units were on for us. There was even cold water in the fridge for us. They have fans and portable A/Cs throughout the house for comfort during the summer months, which we really appreciated. Beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels available. We loved our stay— thank you!

Daughters graduation

My small family stayed here to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation. It was so great to stay (all of us) in one place. The cost was perfect the house was perfect and I was able to bring my emotional support dog! I would stay here again and again!

We had a wonderful stay! Communication in advance and during was excellent. The listing was accurate - spacious 3 bedroom, 1 bath with full kitchen and living. Everything was clean -and linens were nice. Washer/dryer is in the garage, which is accessible through the hallway. The location is excellent as well. It was a hot summer visit and bugs were minimal & not a concern. The location is fabulous. All areas of Kingston are cute and convenient. We had great coffee and ice cream and were bummed we didn't get a chance to try Calcutta Kitchen. So many places are easily accessible as well... Red Hook and Rhinebeck are quick trips. We checked out Catskill and a separate trip to Minnewaska State Park. It's all beautiful & Kingston people were friendly. (And I got to see fireflies for the first time!) Thanks for a fantastic trip!

Nice house. Parking was a bit confusing at first but after the first time no big deal! Had an issue with the heat the first day and it was promptly addressed. Neighborhood was quiet and comfortable. Will book same location again for future stays.

Weekend Trip

Property manager was responsive prior to check in and post stay. I shared concerns regarding the master bedroom linen that he seemed to appreciate. It’s an overall very nice property that is as represented in the pictures.

Overall Great Stay

Our host was super communicative and helpful. The property location was great, centrally located downtown. The beds were comfortable, the linens fresh. There was lots of utensils, pots and pans, dishes, glassware and extras. The WiFi was good, and the air conditioning was great. We stayed for two weeks and the cost was fair. Highly recommend this property. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Pet friendly

Comfortable apartment, clean and pet friendly. Beds are comfortable which isn’t always the case. Stayed with older children/teens and a 50 lbs dog while visiting family over Thanksgiving. Not ideal for younger children as there are level changes in the unit and it’s on a hill with a drop off. Worked well for us.

The house had space for a window AC unit that was not installed prior to check-in even though it was over 90 degrees. there was no guidance about entering the game room until we texted the host, and the dishwasher was dangerously leaning out of its area under the kitchen counter - a real risk for children in our party.The most problematic issue was that the property was listed as having a pool, including photos on the listing of the pool - but there was no pool. The host replied to my question that the city had changed an ordinance allowing so that he had to remove the pool. I booked the property almost 5 months prior to the dates we stayed and the host did not inform me of the change in the property, which might have resulted in my cancelling. He also said the pool had been removed from the VRBO listing but in fact it had not been removed as of the last day of our stay. All in all this property and stay were not up to the VRBO standards.
