Lake Leelanau Life and the Living is Easy: This recently completed, home on South Lake Leelanau combines relaxing privacy, lake access, and stunning sunsets. With 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an open living concept, this well designed home accommodates up to 10 guests comfortably. We maintain the property for year-round rentals.

Boaters' Paradise: The property has direct waterfront access to the lake with a dock and on the water patio area. With a township boat launch one mile away, and miles of clear water to explore, family water sports are just out your front door.

Location: The Sun Bear home is in the heart of Leelanau County, and only 11 miles from downtown Traverse City. Discover the charm of the Leelanau region, renowned for its picturesque villages, award-winning wineries, and fresh water recreation. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Leelanau Trail is 5-minutes away, offering miles of hiking, running, and biking.

2024: We're adding exciting enhancements for summer '24 rentals, including an upgraded waterfront with a kayak, stand-up waterboard, and canoe launch area.

A Perfect Lakeside Getaway!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning rental property, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by breathtaking views and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.The property itself is beautifully maintained, with spacious living areas that are both cozy and stylish. The large floor to ceiling windows provided plenty of natural light and allowed us to enjoy the picturesque scenery of the lake. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy for us to prepare meals and enjoy them in the spacious dining and living area overlooking the water.The host Chris was incredibly responsive and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. This rental property is a hidden gem and we can’t wait to return.

Perfect Lake Leelanau Rental!!!

This is an absolutely fabulous property!! Chris, the owner, was so easy to work with and this is, by far, the nicest VRBO we have ever rented. From the location to the stocking of the home essentials, they have gone above and beyond!!! We can't wait to return! I would give it 10 stars if I could!!!

Gorgeous Home!

The house is beautiful and spacious, the perfect setup for a group gathering. We loved the lake view, all the windows, and outside access from just about anywhere in the house. The house was immaculate, very clean, temperature controls in all the bedrooms, and the gas fireplace was a nice touch on a cool evening. Chris was an excellent host, very accommodating to our arrival and departure requests, and a great communicator. Would love to stay here again!

Beautiful property, Amazing Host!

Had a great one night stay to visit with family in Traverse City. The property was amazing and spacious. The view was gorgeous. Chris, the host, was amazing and responsive to my questions. I would definitely stay here again and plan to if I need a place in Traverse City in the future.
